When i first clicked on this, from the very start i thought this was real footage. Cannot believe how awesome and realistic the lighting is in this game. Whoever tuned the lighting in ARMA 3 deserves a huge prize! Fantastic!
That last radio call just got my heart rate spiked better than my coffee I’m drinking. Man I love these stories and can’t wait for this game, thank you Arma 3!

Too bad when the AI dropped the napalm in the trailer it landed on the enemy. In "Eldest Son" it dropped directly on my and my troops in the artillery craters...ended our 1hr 40min mission right as the defend LZ objective was completed.
Be smart, listen to your surroundings, and learn to trust your teammates. What you might think you know about warfare will be challenged in Prairie Fire - it's a whole different ball game.
I had 30hrs in Arma before I bought this dlc and now I have 387hrs and almost all of them are on this dlc lol easily some of the most fun I've had playing video games
Espcially after the Laws of War DLC and the countless Make Arma not War contests this trailer feels really out of place. Displaying the vietnamese attack as some sort of Zombie invasion and the pyromaniacs defending as perfect heros, leaves a really bitter taste.
yeah i agree, but i think that arma was created to be a war sim first and foremost. the advocacy is awesome on the devs part, but this is a return to arma’s roots
@@nickmarksmusic I mean the main Issue I see in the trailer at least is the Vietnamese AI are scripted specifically to have no self preservation and mass wave into the oncoming air strike for a "cool shot" of over 30 people being burned to death while ePiC mUsIc plays. It feels more like a Hollywood action movie then a faithful representation of Vietnam. Hopefully its just the trailer that is like this.

Before this I never knew this unit existed. You need to do more historical DLCs’. But don’t let that get in the way of Arma4 is you’re working on it :)
This DLC is amazing, it was worth the buy just for the vehicles alone, not to mention the arsenal. But an entire new map and soundtrack, it's just incredible work.
I saw the trailer and I instantly thought “if there isn’t napalm F4s I’m uninstalling” the F4 is one of my favorite planes and to see it with the giant combat load made me so happy

Last year I ran across an old VN game I believe titled VIET CONG (for PC) and it would not load - too old, and was bummed - then this was released - WOW! Looks awesome and significantly better than that old game, Its downloading now.
Gotta have immense respect for the Vietnamese who had the guts to go up against the world's most powerful (let's say they shared the #1 spot with the USSR) and most expensive military machine! What they lacked in airpower they made up in patriotism and cunning. It took colossal sacrifices but in the end it was worth it, American's had to leave (much to the relief of their own soldiers who had no idea wtf their govt send them in there to fight in the 1st place) and Vietnam was unified. :)
I have huge respect for SGD and their accomplishments with SOG PF. I especially love the cars in SOG PF. I would buy a WWII DLC in a heartbeat from them if they did one. Imagine a P-51 Mustang or Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter plane model done by them. Their interiors and exterior in vehicles are really well done. Their weapon reload animations and sound design are top notch. PLEASE DO MORE DLC FOR ARMA 3, SAVAGE GAME DESIGN!!

Ok, i must say over the years i didn't watch as good trailer for dlc arma as this one. Finaly i can say good job. Hope that not only trailer will be good. ;)
lol, maybe some of them came back to USA then suffering from fits of PTSD killed their neighbors or smthn like that and then suicided and and then if you include those numbers you get over 100% casualty rate. :]
There were 2000 men in MACV SOG, they suffered a very high fatality rate (12 whole teams were wiped out) and almost everyone suffered multiple wounds. They didn't even bother to file papers for Bronze Stars let alone Purple Hearts. Some of their guys received 6, 7 or 8 Purple Hearts, often awarded due to higher medals being filed and the PH accompanying the paperwork. Using standard army math they suffered higher than a 100% casualty rate. If you want to know more visit our youtube channel and watch some interviews.

Arma 3 was meant as an Military Sandbox game, not really as a War Sim (IIRC)
