If I could have been there I would have told you to grab your battery if it was new. And as a souvenir I always keep my dip stick from my old vehicles. I have them in my shed in an old weathered coffee can. Kind of looks like a bouquet of metal flowers.😊
depending on the yard/ insurance company they get uppity about that i got into a fight over a battery with my insurance i took it out of my Vic and put it into my truck when I hit a deer they were going to charge me $500 for a car battery i found a cracked 6 volt battery we had in the shed and gave them that they weren't happy but they had to take it my guess was i took the running and drivable car to a dead car and lowered it Copart value
Hi Dalton, I can’t believe how hard he hit you, so lucky nobody was injured. Glad you got everything out of your truck. I hope the insurance process goes smoothly and you get a new truck soon
I knew They would total your truck 😢 but I'm glad that you was able to get all of your things out of the truck and so glad that you and your cousin is doing fine😊
Life happens. So great you were able to get what you wanted out of the truck. Luckily, it's so much easier to buy a new truck these days. I took about a week going through inventory at several different dealerships and when I found it, they delivered to my door within 2 days. I was happy. FYI, thanks for all you show us on the channel. I'm always entranced watching people tackle everything you have been doing to the house.
I highly recommend a 24 powerstroke if you can swing it. I’ve had many new powerstrokes since 2019 and on my 24 platinum powerstroke I must say ford has done an outstanding job of tuning that engine, tranny and emissions system.
Dalton glad truck will be replaced and more than that You were not hurt. You can finish your house and prosper. your fan take care Buddy. cant wait for bathroom video.
You are going to be ok, Just wanted to encourage you one day might be bad but the next day it will all be ok. Stay happy and enjoy your talent in front of the camera. Something happened when you bought your house. Stay safe Buddy
Yes! The house seems to have sparked the channel! You were always appealing but that big challenge really interested people in how you would handle it? Now we are totally hooked!
I'm glad you thought to take the tonneau cover too. I'm sure you're right that they wouldn't have paid for it. Shame that your truck ended this way, it was a good looking rig. Hopefully you'll find a bargain to replace it. It is end of year closeout time. Oh well, at least new truck shopping is always fun. 🛻
Hope you find a nice truck, at a good price, very soon. “They say”… with economy, student loans resuming, etc . , that a lot of vehicles are going back and more inventory out there. I think trucks are always in demand though. I have a f150 lariat 4wd. It was the first year the aluminum bodies came out 2015. I got it in 2016 w/like 22k miles and had never left the factory (probably a demo or company truck of some kind). It was still a lot, but I did avoid the depreciation of the first year. It’s so handy and needed here in the mountains. I didn’t even have my tag and somebody hit me head on. It didn’t bend the frame though so they fixed it. I’ve had to replace radiator, water pump, on and on and on.. way before it was time. It’s almost 10 years old and only has 80k miles. I was so glad they totaled yours. I was the first one of thst new design in this area they’d ever worked on and it took FOREVER! Immediate depreciation of course. The airbag dust about killed me. Felt like someone poured boiling water down my throat and I went from being in great shape to not being able to hardly walk up my stairs. Terrible! I said all of that, to say this is the best thing that could have happened to you. I still love my truck! But I’ve spent a lot of money on things I know werent sone right and little things still not working etc. take care 🍁🌻🍂
Can you get back your totaled truck and maybe part it out? There's some money in that truck that you can make back. Bumpers, rims *well 3 rims* lol, seat, engine etc...get it back and make some $$ on it. Congrats on the 11.3k subs!
Have you figured what you'll be out when it all gets settled? Can you go after the driver civilly to make up the difference? or hopefully there won't be a difference? I fortunately never experienced this but have heard of others dealing with not being made whole in the end and getting an attorney involved. Sorry you had this add to your already full plate.
My husband's Ford F150 got t-boned on that same back tire. He spun around and lost tire and just dragged the axle. What was so scary is that I was driving behind him and saw him spinning. Knowing him, our daughter and pup was in that truck. Never been so scared in my life. State farm didn't total it. Frame was bent too. Took 6 weeks to fix.
That truck still has a lot of good parts on it. It will most likely get sold to a parts company or a pick n pull lot. The good parts on your truck will live on in other F250s that are in need of parts.
@@marchingmoto ofc man, you’re a big inspiration for me with how you treat your life, i hope you get a good result from the insurance for your truck ❤️
Hope you get made whole financially... We know the insurance won't be paying enough to replace the truck with the same year, same mileage, same condition.
I agree. Still, safety in a lot of trucks and cars has gotten better over the years. Trucks used to be quite dangerous and subject to rollovers. Nowadays, vehicles are designed to shield the drivers compartment from direct impact.
hope they charge the guy you can get the full value to replace the truck and associated costs like having to drive 45 minutes to get your stuff keep records
Man, I’m sorry for your loss on your truck, but hey life happens and totals can’t be stopped from being totaled unless you want to pay a hefty total of 1.2 thousand or 1.2 million and that much it’s worth getting a new truck because that thing would be a complete loss I was in an accident where our car was almost deemed a complete Loss thankfully we booked with someone who could Fix cars for less than the amount the insurance company wants to pay, but it was still hefty, But hey that’s life for you I mean, if I’m right Ford still makes the F250 so you can get a new one, but you know what You can’t get A new one of which is your life so enjoy it, and God bless you
Why do ya bet it’ll be “professionally repaired” and back on the market in a few months. With no warranty of course. On a different subject, what’s your opinion of the Deck’d toolboxes? How much weight will they support on top of them?
I like them a lot! I just wouldn’t buy them full price new. I got these used for $900. They say they hold 2,000 lbs on them. I’ve had 900 lbs of gravel on them and they didn’t flex at all

This why you always insist on having the vehicle towed home even if you have to pay for it up front. The tow driver will say anything to get it towed to their yard so they can collect storage. Keep it until a settlement is reached and you get what your want out of it remember it is your property!

Keep track of the VIN# in a year's time or a little less run that VIN# and see if it was rebuilt.
I wish i had the vin to my mom’s old car so see where it is now.
@@kyle207 cool idea I had never thought of this
They'll most likely rebuild it. If not, sell for parts. Odds are the engine and transmission are good. Other parts sell for a good price.
