Yeah, just get everything you need to survive somehow running in these two rooms and take it from there. I did the same thing when I move into my fixer upper. My first shower was the old shower tub thrown in the basement, next to the washing machine. Believe me, you will get loads more done when you sleep right next to the work to do 😅 I remember almost working through some nights, falling into bed when it was already getting light again... Wish you the best, don't overdo it...😁
Your mom is a legend and a hero for helping you out in the kitchen. So for the shower, I was wondering if u could get one of those kiddie pools, round and put under the bucket? so if the water goes out it would go in the pool. Just a thought. Congrats on moving into the house!!!
What an ingenious idea! Very impressive for sure. Loved your camping weekend videos…camping out in your new home will be a cakewalk, and not having to pay rent for an apartment anymore will be icing on the cake!
Super cool! That'll work great. The key is you're in the house full time, no rent pmt, no storage pmt. Lived in 1-room during my 1.5yr self-demo so I get it. If you're an outdoors person/camper it really isn't a big deal at all.
The kitchen looks so clean now. Nice to have your mum come to help you with that task :-D Your temporary shower solution looks like it will do the job too. Great low budget idea!
Mom was great to help. I buy paint at the hardware store from the mis tint shelf. Only if the color is neutral and i like it. Usually 5 to 10 bucks per gallon. Just make sure it's egg shell or satin. Unless its for bathroom or trim.
Good DIY design temporary shower, could get a small sump pump to empty the tub to the outside right through the window above the sink. Great your mom helped with the clean-up, looks good!
🤔 Ok I have a better idea. Dog collapsable pool with drain( they are about a foot deep much easier to step out of), holla hoop strung to the ceiling with shower curtain strung on it. Shower wand with shut off button. Hold the shower nozzle instead of handing it. Attach hose to drain on pool but cap off the end so you can drain into a buckle and empty in a couple loads 🤷🏻♀️
A temporary camper would be optimal while you are rehabbing. You can pick up a handyman's special for really cheap , or bid on one at insurance auction. Just would have to tap your power, water and sewer.
I hate it so much when people pull out perfectly good kitchen cabinets!! Those are very functional! The dark ish wood will look better when the kitchen is painted.
Neat shower. Back in the day, we'd have a little stool to sit on and a bucket of water and a cup/pitcher to take a "shower" with. Even when we had a full western bath with shower my dad would still use the bucket and cup in the bathtub. :D
The house looks great! Your Mom rocks 👍🏼 When I was remodeling my bathroom and had no shower I hooked a dog wash sprayer (it was a cheap temporary solution) to the faucet. Your set up will work fine and it will really make you appreciate your bathroom when it’s finished. Thanks for another great video.
should have a cutoff at the shower head. then you could take a navy shower and use a lot less water. also if you had 3/4" emt conduit you could have bent that for the top of the shower and used normal curtain hangers.
Yay I'm glad your mom was able to help you clean. Looking at the before video had my OCD twitching lol🤣 That looks like a great temporary shower setup. We have a permanent outdoor shower setup at my house for people, dogs and sandy stuff from the beach but my climate is way more appropriate for that then yours lol😉
Your mother is a good woman helping you out like that. I was using a pump sprayer for a temp shower. Putting hot water in it and standing in a bin. Looking forward to some progress on this project 👍🔨🦅🇺🇸
I'd open that kitchen window. Feed the shower head right outside the window. Put my swim trunks on and shower right outside the kitchen window .No dumping any pans of water.
Maybe zip ties for hanging shower curtain. Have long enough to go around 2x4 or double loop. Is it possible to put a hose out the window or door after shower and siphon water out of bucket? Just throwing my 2 cents in. Thinking out of the box. You did amazing with clean up.
I had a similar situation Shower outside the kitchen window after dark in a lose robe Or maybe an enclosure outside If you have a sink sprayer and a window, you have a shower
It's fabulous how single guys can throw something together from scraps that will satisfy a need where if a woman was involved, it would never fly. Trust me, I know. I was amazed how, in the blink of an eye, a total disaster of a mess switched to perfectly livable. Well done! 🤓👍
Many women are very skilled with tools and creative solutions, and have no problem roughing it. We date/marry guys that appreciate that about us. We love to go backpacking and build our own outbuildings, and do our own repairs. Because it saves money, because we can, and because we like to do these things. We watch this channel because it is interesting to us to watch the problem solving. I might have to dump the tub of water more often due to its weight, but I would totally use the shower! While I was building one with a drain of course, lol!
Thanks Mom, for helping Dalton clean, wow looks so much better..
You rock Dalton. You seem to be able to make do with what you have I love that. 😊❤
Great job of figuring it all out.Moving forward.

Kitchen looks good. That temporary shower is probably gonna help me a lot when I redo my bathroom. Good idea

Hi Dalton, your home look’s good. And your shower set up is great. And the saving you make not paying rent will be worth it.

Some paint would help the place a lot right now. Even if it was just temporary
Great DIY Shower 🚿 Idea
Clever way round the problem. You will never take a shower for granted again🤞🤞👏👏🥳🥳🥳🥳😉😉❤big thanks to your Mom she is the best❤❤👏👏

The no-cost shower is perfect. Good for you!
Clean goes along way. Enjoying your creativity on surviving this situation. It can only get better with you persevering spirit.
Guess I am curious why fridge isn't in that corner, but good shower solution. It's a cute house!
@@joanne9735 it would be blocking the cabinets. It definitely needs a better spot though
WOOOW! VERY CLEAN 😃

Love the shower solution. The adapter is very similar to one for a portable dishwasher. Thanks, mom!

Nice! A "MacGyver Shower."
Good system. i`ve seen worse. The kitchen and front room cleaned up well.
Looks like it would fit over your refrigerator? It's functional that's all you need for construction 🚧😊

At first I thought the tub was stationary, phew, good idea.
Looks pretty good.
Dalton….you are handier than pockets on a shirt. Neat!

All he has to do is shut off the water at the faucet...which he mentioned lol.
Great job!!!🎉 what a sweet mom you have!
Looks so much better and the temporary shower will be just fine.
Looking good brother!
very innovative

I’d rather dump the tub than shower in the swarm of gnats flies and mosquitos outside

I might hook a water pump up if dumping the water is much of an ordeal
@@marchingmoto you are doing great. Love the videos. You and mom did great on clean up. I’m sure she is proud to help you. Have a good weekend.

You could staple the shower curtain to the wood frame.

Women have been known to rough it! 🤔😇
I'm a woman and i've showered standing on a rock in the woods and it was luxury. Gender doesn't have squat to do with it.
Some women, yes. Me? For a temporary solution, no problem. Then again, some men would have complicated the heck out of the problem and solution.

I would save some money and just take Hoe baths if you have access to showers at the gym. Great idea though
My God! What fresh hell(o)is this?
