    What do you think of the landing? I think I'm going to make it a couple of feet taller so that it's more of a step up. Maybe even throw some mulch on it. That should help build some more confidence to start going bigger.

    • @Bruppeditz
      @Bruppeditz 11 місяців тому

      I think that it being more of a step up would help a lot

    • @cutlaps
      @cutlaps  11 місяців тому +2

      @@Bruppeditz yeah I think so too. This is definitely not the jump I set out to build lol. But I'm not complaining. I wanted something that would help me get over my fear of going higher. And this one shoots you up.

      @@cutlaps I’ve never hit a jump that big and I have always thought step ups are less scary because you don’t have to fall as much. I think they are some of the best confidence building jumps

      @@Bruppeditz yeah I'm only going small on it but already the hang time is like nothing I have felt on a bike. Very weird but fun feeling.

      The landing is good as is! The crisp top of the landing looks so good, but rounded might make it safer to come up short with the nose. (I might be traumatized from broken an OTB broken nose experience from being just short fully commuted.)
      I agree that step ups are easier and technically you can send them deep and land where a long flat table would be.
      When you get the extra dirt you could slightly lower beyond the landing in all directions making the landing slightly longer in the process (in a way that drains).

    I've been watchimg this channel grow for years now and I just wanted to take a moment to ssay 2 things. The first is that the quality of your videos has improved so much with the new music and for example the design of the kicker. You didn't need to do it but you did and that really shows how much you value the quality of these videos. Secondly, you've inspired me to build my own bike trails and I just recently bought some land in Kangaroo Valley, just west of Woollongong to build my trails on.

    Yes Luke! Great to see you back for another video!
    Your last one inspired me and started building some pallet boxes for my unicycle.
    One of my mates ended up taking over with real wood and real tools and made me some great sturdy portable manny pad boxes!
    I loved your woodwork as always, the milling still impresses me no end!
    Great to see Aggie again, to hear your voice and watch your filming and editing continue to progress. I definitely noticed the soundtrack a lot more in this one, loved it!
    Great work hitting the kicker man 💪

      The milling is pretty awesome but it's hard work haha.
      Yeah I think it was worth paying for a couple of banging songs for the video. I feel it ups the quality even further.

      Hows the riding in Ireland? I'll try to upload more over summer. I have a friend coming to help speed up the process but some of these builds take so long. For example milling the log only took about 1 minute of video but really I was out there for 4 days doing it. I had a few issues that ended up being a bit boring to include in the video.
