Teeshirt looks sick so thought I'd go into the running by talking about a wooden drop I built last week! 1.I used two stumps to hold one small log in place, one off which had fell over and was hand buried about a foot underground with two other small gum branches as supports 2. Slowly and tediously, every small branch I could find with about an inch in diameter (double the radius, from one side of the circle to the opposite) was laid out and drilled in with two 3 inch long timer screws (took a lot of trial and error) 3. After finding the log was rolling slightly, two extra branches on the sides about the same as the ones laid out on the log were drilled into the side of the stump, and then into the log so we had two extra indirect supports (if you read all that and understand well done lmao) 4. Add dirt to the front to get onto the feature and build a dirt landing so there is enough room to go wide for the upcoming flow section 10 hours of stupidity and sketch done! If your curious want a photo or something I'm happy to send one through lol. Plan on making a wooden creek gap but with a lot less consequence with the take off coming off a tree. Onya dude, sick content
Hey Declan, I think I can pucture the drop you built. Send me pics on instagram so I can check it out. Sounds fun. Don't make the same mistake I made with my creek gap lol. Make sure there is enough landing to work with

@cutlaps Looking at the plans, I see the radius cut example is at 1720mm but then on the next page it's 1110? Is the 1720 the example on how to do this? or is there a typo. I only really ask because in the SAE it's 5.64 and 3.64. Just a bit confused. Thanks for the plans, they're really cool.
Hey mate, thanks for reaching out. Those are two different measruments. The curved side of the wood should be 1720mm and then the flat side should be 1110mm (if your wood is the same dimensions as mine. If your wood is different you cant use the 1110mm measurment and will need to make sure your cut is at 18°). In step 2 follow the dotted line, that is the cut you are making so that the jump sits flat on the ground.
Hmmm now I am confused. Is the Dad one the big one? If so I am currently working on them. I'll try and remember this comment and send you a message when they are finished.

I have been playing around with jersey designs. I want to get a small batch made up for my website. I'll let you know when it's happening. Probably a while off yet. And na to the Backyard Trail Builds hoodie. It's an aussy company called Huck The World. They have some cool stuff.
@@cutlaps just checked out Huck the World and I dig the witty designs.
@@mattspen yeah the owner is a really nice guy as well. We have spoken about a collaboration which would be cool
@@cutlaps awesome! Does he do the designs?

Hi

What are the height on MUMS jump (the middel one)?
Hey mate. That one is 70cm tall
always so helpfull when cutlaps uploads
good on you mate!
Thanky dude
LETS GOOOOOOO cutlaps posted!!!
Yeiwwww
Is that a cutlaps mountain bike top i see on that screen 7:01
Yeah I have been designing some jerseys. You like?
awesome stuff. Thanks for the plans! Now my wife will have another reason to complain about new wooden features blocking our driveway 😄
AHahaha tell her to blame me
great video so helpful to learn about the radius caulator
Thanks mate. Yeah the calculator makes it a lot easier to plan out a kicker.
Yo Cutlaps made me make my own trail
Dayummmm thats cool

You can download the plans from my website. It's cutlaps.com
Love your vids what size jump should I make out of 5 pallets
Hey mate, I wouldn't recommend building anything too big with pallets because the wood is usually pretty weak. Did you see my pallet kicker video?
@@cutlaps yeah

Hey dude. I would love to, but the videos take to long to make.
This was awesome i wanna build one now as well, is there any chance you have plans for the dad jump?
Hmmm now I am confused. Is the Dad one the big one? If so I am currently working on them. I'll try and remember this comment and send you a message when they are finished.
