- Hello All
Starting your day right matters and when you have blood sugar issues to manage it is extremely important to choose the right breakfast .
I prepare this breakfast often, it is tasty, full of nutrients, I usually pair it with some boiled eggs for added protein.
It is also a quick and easy Break fast, takes less than 15 minutes to Prepare.
Enjoy
Pauline
This meal is basically just sugar indigestible fiber and some vitamins and minerals.
It is almost the exact opposite of what a person with PCOS needs.
Ladies, please do not eat this if you have PCOS symptoms.
The carbs (sugar) will increase your blood sugar *_AND_* insulin hormone levels which is like pouring gasoline on your PCOS fire. It doesn't matter that the carbs are "complex" → slow sugar is still sugar.
A perfect PCOS meal is bacon and eggs:
→ high protein for muscles and to keep you full
→ High fat for building hormones and keeping you full
→ No carbs (sugar) so no inflammation or hormone spikes
→ lots of vitamins, minerals and amino acids:
Vitamin B1
Vitamin B2
Vitamin B3
Vitamin B5
Vitamin B6
Vitamin B12
Sodium
Phosphorus
Selenium
Zinc
Iron
Potassium
Tryptophan
Valine
Threonine
Isoleucine
Leucine
Lysine
Phenylalanine
Methionine
Histidine
Vitamin A
Vitamin D
Vitamin E
Vitamin K
Folate
Calcium
Iodine
Choline
Omega-3 Fatty Acids
Lutein
Zeaxanthin
No sugar is better than slow sugar.
Thank You for stopping by.
Pcos needs a varied diet for optimum support. One breakfast with complex carbs, protein, nourishing fats and many other vitamins in this meal is only part of what a person who has the condition.
Protein is indeed important but not only the type that causes inflammation like you mentioned bacon and eggs, there are many sources of protein and also healthier options for animal protein and also plant protein.
Whole grains, seeds and nuts provide many nutrients that is needed for the maintenance of the female body and keeping hormones balanced.
There are also many other vitamins, minerals, herbs and so on that a female with Pcos needs.
It is also very vital to consult your nutritionist and doctor to ensure that you select the right meals and nutrition for you. It is not a one size fits all. There are foods that some people can't tolerate while others can , does not necessarily mean it is unhealthy, we have different bodies and so on.
Thank you again for your wise words . I appreciate you.
Not cooking those oats, funny taste mix and artificial sugar, peanut butter with sugar in it??
Thank you for stopping by, the cereal was cooked, peanut butter may have some sugar in it depending on the brand you use but the amount in one teaspoon is not enough to cause a major spike in blood sugar for me. Please do suggest healthier brands of peanut butter, that would be appreciated. Have a blessed day. Pls do like share and subscribe. I appreciate you!!
