my dad was a master ag tech for 40+ years, i went on many service calls with him in my youth. I see the same skills in you that he had. He went back to the days when he had to make his own parts due to the war (WWII) Your vids bring back many memories
I'm a heavy duty diesel tech and just came across your videos. I like when your talking about the aftertreatment system, cause that's one area that I just get and know exactly what you saying, it makes me want to get out of bed and get right to work. I would like work on tractors, but I live in NY and there really isn't many places around. But anyways keep the videos coming, you keep me inspired
'Tractor is in ICU', 'Hydraulic nightmare videos'... Besides being highly skilled and knowledgeable you are absolutely hilarious. Please keep them videos coming!
Ya, I agree that the ICU comment was great. Zeth has that calm way of going about things and explaining what the problem and solution is the videos are very enjoyable and relaxing. Great comment I thought.
Hey Zeth I really enjoy these service videos, it's cool to see what you do out there. In some ways I'd imagine it's more fun being out there rather than on a monster project in the shop, until it rains at least lol. Keep em all coming anyway!
Love your videos! I'm not a farmer or a mechanic, but I enjoy watching you diagnose and fix things.. keep up the great work! Cheers from Posey County Indiana!
Very interesting to watch. I enjoy the actual wrenching needed on some of these calls you do. Very informative. It helps me be brave to tackle my own mechanical issues we run into.
Hey Zeth, thanks for your usual great explanation of each task as always. Really enjoy your service calls as it shows how adaptable and flexible you need to be in your role and the range of your technical skills and knowledge. I have now fully caught up with all your videos, so just keep drip feeding us guys as we need that IV line to keep us fully engaged in your journey! Thanks
Viewed 5-1-22 from Illinois Hi Zeth.............Excellent video showing your trouble shooting skills and repair. Regardless the color of the paint, it takes a profession who knows what they are doing to keep the equiptment running.
Zeth great explanation as always. Thanks for the ride along. Enjoy the service calls. I'm amazed with your technical skills. You're an awesome individual. Keep the knowledge coming. Definitely look you up at the next one. Stay safe!!
Thanks for another great video ZK. It was interesting and enjoyable. Wow. Lots of interesting service calls this time around. Enjoyable watching you figure out the problem while out in the field. Then analyzing the problem and the fix to it. Enjoyed each one you did and how to handle the fix. Busy time of the year with equipment back in the field. Thanks for talking us thru each situation. Sorry about the tire delay. Always something it seems on the road. Like your new Milwaukee three quarter drive wrench. That will take on the heavy duty jobs great. About it I guess for now. You take care and be safe on the road. Lots of crazies out there. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything ZK. The Iowa farm boy. Steve
Hey Zeth. Another great video thanks for the time you take doing it all. Milwaukee 3/4 drive gun for the win. I got one about a year ago and haven’t found anything it won’t undo yet! Stay safe buddy Thanks from Lincolnshire in the UK👍🏻👍🏻
Just a thought if it was constantly regening because of the coolant it will use a lot of extra fuel. I have found that will cause the oil to thin out and grow.
In our experience with 13.5 it’s always the water pump and deere acts like the problem doesn’t exists. Both 13.5 we have had the head bolt and gasket pip done and problem still existed
yes getting out on farms doing 3 of 4 jobs a day is great job satisfaction , I have done this for 37 years in England , the machinary is smaller here and now I work on other makes , mainly JD .
I definitely prefer the 3/4 milwaukee to the 1/2. Yeh its a bit less versatile but i guess thats what a mid torques for. The 3/4 is just a lot less rattly and loud than the 1/2.
Always an informative video.... if you hadn't of been following the truck so close you could have seen the debris or was you playing with your phone... either way you were too close. Stay careful out there.
Ground cable tabs Kop-r-kote T&B compound - like a Copper Anti-seize and contacy grease. 13:27 We used between bussbars for contact resistance reduction.
What is the radius, in miles, of your service area. It just blows my mind to see how complex these machines are in comparison with the 48 'B' John Deer the 57/58 '60' John Deer and the 42 'B' John Deer I operated from the mid 50s through the first 3 years in the 60s. OBTW after watching you channel I have been wearing the high mil black gloves and I have eliminated the skin problems I had been having on my hands when working in my shop. I didn't experience the handling problems I thought I might. In fact, it seems actually better and since they fit tight I can still feel irregularities as well as before. If I were a professional carpenter they would be calloused and probably wouldn't bother me. I figured if you used them it was a good idea for anyone. I have a little arthritis in the hands and neck (typical for a 79 yr old) and they ache after a long day. My wife gave me some CBD salve and the stuff has really helped me. One uses just a little bit and the secret is to work it in good. I use it at night. That seems to work best. Thanks for being a good example of a mindful worker.
Le tue avventure son fantastiche !!!!! Avete anche in America problemi con i semiassi degli 8000 gommati? In Italia molti ….. Ciao Zk sei il top ! Seguite seguite seguite !!!!!!
Funny how these technological marvel. Have more parts to break. and cost more to fix. A friend of mine spent more money servicing his 2020 tractor in one year. Than he paid for his first new tractor in 1973.
Seems like JD would redesign that ground cable and give owners a new one. What kind of mech would not raise this to the problem level at the factory. Makes me really question JD Quality Assurance Program. Pretty sad to have this kind of junk on a $500k machine. Looking at that is seems they will all fail at some time. Great job figuring that out. Awesome channel.
Boy farming is a different scale out on the Illinois prairie, even the storms are bigger. Just curious if you have a lot of Indiana customers? Great video as always!
You watch a lot of Vice Grip Garage don’t you 😂. I’m not a huge John Deere fan more of a Case IH man but damn I do enjoy your videos and couldn’t help hear VCG in a few of the things you say lol.
Hey If you could keep me posted on the 3/4 gun I am a Cummins tech I was looking to get one for engine overhauls big bolts etc just curious to see how much different it is than the 1/2 in
Awesome! Usually if you go through that program you can get 1/2 off snap on. So I would get as much snap on add you can through that program. But spend it on hand tools, ratchets, wrenches, and sockets. Then once you have a good base you can get brands like Tekton, gear wrench, and sunnex.
Hey everyone, I’m a couple months from starting my job search upon completion of tech school. I’m curious to know what things you look for in the new guy or new hire outside of the obvious ( being on time, pulling your weight, etc.) also any tech related interview questions to prepare for, or questions to ask a possible employer. Thanks I’m advance for any input.

Zeth great explanation as always. Thanks for the ride along. Enjoy the service calls. I'm amazed with your technical skills. You're an awesome individual. Keep the knowledge coming. Definitely look you up at the next one. Stay safe!!
sure seems like this new equipment takes way to much service work.. tractors used to run 4k hours without touching them
Again zeth,i think your a top notch mechanic, very respectful,.
as a farmer with green equipment, man this is great content
Spread the word!
Thanks for another great video ZK. It was interesting and enjoyable.

Busy busy busy, great video, thank you
Your a busy guy during this season.
Just a thought if it was constantly regening because of the coolant it will use a lot of extra fuel. I have found that will cause the oil to thin out and grow.
Great vid! Keep those deere's turning dirt!
9560 and EGR coolers are notorious!!
You do a great job with the videos and more importantly, the service work. Thanks!

Awesome "Day in the life" video!!!
Hey Zeth love the field call videos! I will continue to follow!

Need more subtle @vicegripgarage references such as "I cannot believe it. But I guess I got to, because I'm looking right at it."
Thank You for sharing
Another great video, thanks for showing your A/C reclaiming setup
Great variety of service calls Zeth thanks for sharing 🦘👍
Lots of work out there to be sure! Thanks for another cool video.
Love these videos they are very interesting.
I like the service call videos. Good one.
Love your video. Cool to see how the day to day goes.
You rock,keeps tires side down
I have a set of those Knipex in my line box at work. They are awesome
Never so busy as when working on Deere. Never got to work on a CAT ag tractor in my 8 years with CAT. Never seen one come into the shop for work.
Now you have me looking at every ground frame to starter looks like to use the same wire on a lot of them.
Love it
This was great
Nice to see a variety of jobs
Awesome video I appreciate your work. I'd love to see you use service adviser on the tractors doing tests and programming!
Thanks
I don’t show anything done with service Advisor.
Very interesting You are very skilled and experienced
They need to make a Service Bulletin for a clamp repositioning
Great video Zeth keep it up.
Never need a reason for a new tool. Enjoy!

Thomas & Betts electric tools. 22:02
As essential as tire chains in Indiana - snow country.
Great content, very interesting

It figures all the tools and knowledge you have and a tire stops you. Oh well. I like your glasses
It only stopped me for an hour and a half.
Funny how these technological marvel. Have more parts to break. and cost more to fix. A friend of mine spent more money servicing his 2020 tractor in one year. Than he paid for his first new tractor in 1973.
Emissions requirements are more trouble than they are worth, things are just so complicated these days
There's a lot of differences between the green and yellow, but seem to have a lot of the same problems.
good vids 👍
Awesome video zk love rhe channel

Just a few in Indiana.
I suspect that the engine may also have started intermittently due to the loose positive cable on the starter.
Now that you bought a "one Key" Milwaukee tool please register it in case it's stolen!
Already done 💪🏼
I would make one with heavy welder lead. It would offer a. degree of flexibility.
You watch a lot of Vice Grip Garage don’t you 😂. I’m not a huge John Deere fan more of a Case IH man but damn I do enjoy your videos and couldn’t help hear VCG in a few of the things you say lol.
Why don't you have ySpare tire? That's an Essential! Get a bed mount if necessary.
Zk master mechanic.🔧💚
I’m a new jd tech…just curious how long did it take you to complete John Deere University? I saw the plaque on the wall. Great videos btw
Six years. Thanks
Hey If you could keep me posted on the 3/4 gun I am a Cummins tech I was looking to get one for engine overhauls big bolts etc just curious to see how much different it is than the 1/2 in
Will do
What is a fuel dosing system ? Thanks for sharing!
Stimmt es dass die Neuen John Deere Traktoren beim Kaltstarten nicht mehr vorglühen?
I have a question can you do a video on getting an old iron 730 back to life again back up and running again
Yeah if you bring one to me
Everything you need but a spare.
Yup. There’s a big fuel tank right where the spare goes.
Awesome vid as usual. I am planning to do the JD Tech program soon. What tools and brands would you recommend?
Awesome! Usually if you go through that program you can get 1/2 off snap on. So I would get as much snap on add you can through that program. But spend it on hand tools, ratchets, wrenches, and sockets. Then once you have a good base you can get brands like Tekton, gear wrench, and sunnex.
looks like a pump off of a maxxforce dt engine
snappped at the crimp seam ??? possible but not common and yeah with twists stressing .... yer on it ,kid 😂🙂
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
How did the ground cable snap? Was it positioned wrong or something? Never seen anything like that
Edit- nvm
