@@DutchPilotGirl Here`s a good one for you.... it`s 3 years after losing 85% of humans from a fast acting disease thus very little resources left aka plane mechanic's/pilots and such like thus forcing technology to work... Question would you fly a 4 engine aircraft that has 2 wingless raptor jets fitted between the mounts of the original engines that are missing), flight controls of the 4 engine aircraft and Raptors have been made talk too each other.... again technology forced to work... (maybe a 3 aircraft fitted in place of the rear tail section giving 5 - 6 engines and twin tails....)

@@jolsson5116Howdy, did you try landing on the italuan mil. airbase near Catania when the Etna is coughing huge portions of smoke and in the last 5 minutes it starts to rain? 😮 BTW, the landing strip at this airbase loojscas short as on a navycarrier, only the italians don't have catchinghooks, the italian pilots got to perform a full brakes stop directly after touchdown otherwise they take a bath in the mediterrenean sea together with their jet... And don't dare to touchdown later than the beginning of the landingstrip or the brakes alone won't be sufficient even when you put your turbines on full reverse march, it is really ultrashort and behind the fence is " la spiaggia " and soon after the sea... 😅 There are rumors telling that the Commodore di Catania said something like > 😂

Your videos are great. A real insight into the pilot's seat. I'd love to see an approach to Faro from the cockpit having flown there many times, and going again later this year.
Wow! I love Santorini. I went there for my honeymoon. I highly recommend it for anybody who might have the opportunity to go. It was a once in a lifetime trip. My wife and I ended up taking a ferry there from Naxos, so we missed the whole air travel part of it.
My wife and I just got back from our honeymoon Greece, we stayed in Santorini and then took a ferry to Paros. Both were amazing in their own way. In Paros we found amazing beaches and spent most of our time in authentic villages untouched by tourism.
Stunning views !! Thankyou so much Michelle, the views from the cockpit absolutely awsome , the video also gave us an insight into your job a lot more !! Beautiful photos at the start of the video!! Till the next video, take care safe flying!!!

beautiful!!...i've been there many times, this is a whole new perspective, love it!! I like your quotes and tips too as well as the piloting lesson, thank you for the education of your videos, great work!!
Just viewed your video and it is excellent! My wife and I were riveted, during the descent. What put the icing on the cake was that we departed from JTR when we left Santorini. The flight out was good, but your version of approaching was quite a treat.
That approach looks fairly easy but it's absolutely stunningly beautiful! I'll have to try it on MS Flight Simulator and see if my landing is as slick as Greece like yours! Great video, thanks for sharing!
The photos of DPG overlooking the caldera are breathtaking. Because of a strong crosswind we had to go around and landed on the second attempt. It felt like the pilot had to almost push the aircraft down but that was just my subjective impression.
Just found your channel - absolute butter landing there Ma'am! I love the Greek Islands, especially the south and eastern Aegean (those beautiful visual approaches into the likes of Rhodes, Chania, Heraklion and of course Thera / Santorini ). Fantastic video Michelle and wonderful flying
1st time to your channel: Enjoyed the landing, mostly the last minute of the video or so when land features take meaningful shape and landing is imminent. The previous part was a little long, despite the factoid flags.. It would be nice to see the taxiing part till reaching the airport, even if it was accelerated a bit to get through the endless taxiing. Thanks!
I love your videos. The presentation is crisp and precise and modern, and it's always a million dollar view. Well done! On Santorini, I bet you need a permit to paint a structure any color other than white. And I bet it would have to be a pastel shade. What an amazing place. It's crazy to think it was once all one, huge island (possibly Atlantis of lore).
WoW. Love your videos. Breathtaking views. Nice to have audio and text etc…. My wife and I enjoy traveling. My dream is to be able to fly in a cockpit, to watch. I am 65, a retired Nurse and enjoy flying x-plane simulator as well as my drone. Keep it up.
This is excellent. I'm just a land-lubber, yet I've flown commercially many times. If I'm in a window seat I always watch the take-offs and landings. To me these operations define the skill of piloting. And the technology of physics, frankly. Then I relax and wait for the drink-tray. You pilots are the BEST.
Wow the island scenery and the Mediterranean Sea look amazing in this video. 2 things about this video: 1. I didn't know Santorini had an airport capable of handling big jets 2. I have no idea how the other pilots in the cockpit are able to concentrate with you there! You are gorgeous!! Oh and new subscriber! Hi from Texas
Hi. I just love your videos, they are clearly the best of any airline pilot Vlog, 👍 thanks to details like the aeronautical charts, the texts highlighting interesting locations ... also the fact that you refrain from adding cheesy music, letting the viewer experience the actual cockpit sounds instead .. it makes so easy for oneself to immerse on the video, with a big screen it really feels like one is there on the cockpit just beside you. 👍 Also the fact that you are really pretty doesn't hurt either 🥰 ... thanks a lot, already a subscriber but I did click the like button. Cheers from Chile.
Great vids and great editing, just arrived back from Santorini. Our approach (Tui Airways) from Manchester was from the opposite direction, I did see many aircraft circle back to approach flying in over Kamari Beach.
I enjoy watching you work. You make everything look so effortless, which is a tribute as to how accomplished you are as a pilot. Please keep the great videos coming!?!?
It was nice to see the landing during the daylight hours. I like seeing the take offs and landings makes it feel like l"m on the plane Thank u for sharing🤩
Love the little bits and pieces of travel information shared! I would love to visit this place sometime. Great editing and great content, and an enjoyable video to watch!! Part travel channel and part aviation channel!! Thank you DutchPilotGirl!!
Interesting that the airport is pixelated on Google Earth. I wonder what's being hidden. Thank You for another most entertaining and educational video.
Almost every airport in Greece is both for civilian and military use. Being this a matter of national security, Greece needs maps providers to blur them entirely. Not every nation decides to do so, but Greece has seen some "weird things" in the recent past so they need to protect themselves in every way.
@@Ghost--Riley I agree. Tourists have to be careful because national security is a very serious matter in Greece. 14 l plane spotters were arrested and found guilty of spying in 2002 in Greece, later they were released but ....
I just started watching your UA-cam videos. Outstanding! Great production values. You are a great representative for the flying community and quite frankly, very easy on the eyes. I appreciate the added notations, aircraft type and flight configurations, visuals, travel and indigenous interests in your productions. Heads above other flight videos. Thank you and happy landings!
Retired now, but flew in this part of the world often. The Mediterranean is just a beautiful place. One of the few places I miss. Very nice approach and landing. Great video.
A beautiful approach and landing by a skilled pilot with vibrant personality and a wise one as well ! Thank You so much ! We would like to see such more video clips from you, please ! Bless You !
I'd love to visit Santorini. I've always felt like I had a life there 2500 yrs ago. I don't know why but it's always drawn me in. It's like I can see the stone streets like I've been there all my life. I can't explain it
A friend of mine felt the same way about Crete. The first time she went she kissed the ground after getting off the plane and couldn't stop crying as she felt she was home again. She isn't greek but tries to visit Crete once a year. She has learned the language too yet she is Italian and doesn't speak a word of Italian.
You should go for a GoPro Hero 8 Black or newer, for a smoother videooutput. Otherwise nice a landing. A bit cheat with audio countdown prior to landing tho :)
When we went to Santorini, the pilot had to abandon the first approach due to the strong cross-winds but managed to do a great job on the second. In retrospect I guess I can say it was exciting..... It is definitely a deceptively tough landing strip!
Hi, congrats. Loved you video, as always. All your videos are great pieces of information. Wonderful job. I have been following you since many years and every episode/video is a lesson to remember and assimilate. PS. Love your eyes. 😅

BTW, the landing strip at this airbase loojscas short as on a navycarrier, only the italians don't have catchinghooks, the italian pilots got to perform a full brakes stop directly after touchdown otherwise they take a bath in the mediterrenean sea together with their jet...
And don't dare to touchdown later than the beginning of the landingstrip or the brakes alone won't be sufficient even when you put your turbines on full reverse march, it is really ultrashort and behind the fence is " la spiaggia " and soon after the sea... 😅 There are rumors telling that the Commodore di Catania said something like > 😂
First landing I ever made solo was on 15 GRK. Was a member of the Fort Hood flying and was a Cessna 150.
Love the little side notes. Gives an insight into the things you have to familierise yourself with.
Big ship mariner (and ex-military free-faller and jumpmaster) to aviator: Fantastic video! Really well done. The graphics are fantastic. I'm subscribing. Thank you!
Santorini was zo mooi! Mooie landing, leuke video!
Lovely views. Greece is beautiful, especially the Cyclades.
I have been there by plane but also by boat coming from Crete, It is a beautiful island indeed.
so cool! glad I finally found you. I did a solo once but got scared being up by myself. I don't understand enough about everything to fly safely. But my husband is a private pilot so I've seen this view from a small plane. I love to watch the big ones. I'm in the flight path for my small city airport but wish there was more air traffic - I know no one else does.
Thank you so much!
I was there last month while on Greek Island cruise and tour. What a beautiful place. Very unique place indeed.
Thank you Michelle for taking me along for a pilot's eye view. a beautiful flight, a beautiful day, a beautiful island and a beautiful pilot 🥰😍💘 looking forward to your next expedition!
You're welcome Rob!
@@DutchPilotGirl You're too beautiful to fly a Boeing . These planes are designed by clowns, who are in turn supervised by monkeys . For Lord sake , resign before you crash 🙏 🙏🙏
It’s been a few months since I last watched your videos. But today I thought about you and here I am watching your videos today! I hope that you are still flying happily and not laid off or anything!
Living on Tenerife as I do, it always feels like comimg home when I fly in on the approach to Tenerife South, passing the islands of La Palma and La Gomewra, with Mount Teide on the oppositer side. Maybe you could show that one day. Great videos by the way.
La palma is a stunning waypoint. Saw it on my way to Gran Canaria. Beautiful
My lord I am 61 and ask for your pardon but you are gorgeous, don’t know how you are as a person but love your videos cause they introduce your perspective of the world. Thanks
Nice job on that smooth landing … beautiful island … GORGEOUS PILOT
No words! It's not only a good job but it's picturesque in many aspects! Keep going! You've made my day! Gracie mille!
Your videos are great. A real insight into the pilot's seat. I'd love to see an approach to Faro from the cockpit having flown there many times, and going again later this year.
Fab. Santorini is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited.
I came across your videos yesterday i absolutely love them ❤️ I am such a nervous flyer but find that your videos help a lot. I also love the videos you’ve done with captain joe too 🥰 you pilots are amazing and very skilled, thankyou so much you now have a new subscriber. God bless you ❤️
Precision. Perfection. Beautiful. Work of art. Exquisite. Landing was ok too.
beautiful!!...i've been there many times, this is a whole new perspective, love it!!
Your videos are amazing! Love the digital tags of what's going on. Absolutely top notch!!!!
The photos of DPG overlooking the caldera are breathtaking. Because of a strong crosswind we had to go around and landed on the second attempt. It felt like the pilot had to almost push the aircraft down but that was just my subjective impression.
GreT
Have been to Santorini several times. Love this place.
Perfect landing and your videos are of the highest quality and production value. Thank you so much for the time and passion invested in your work.
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your support! Really appreciate it💎
Love Greece 🇬🇷! Great landing!
I've been discovering aviation thoroughly for some time... I discovered this channel and I love the content! Keep it up, I'm already a subscriber :D!
Just found your channel - absolute butter landing there Ma'am! I love the Greek Islands, especially the south and eastern Aegean (those beautiful visual approaches into the likes of Rhodes, Chania, Heraklion and of course Thera / Santorini ). Fantastic video Michelle and wonderful flying
butter is a bit of an overstatement on this one lels
Αγάπη απο Ελλάδα. Thank you for this video. Tommorow I'll do for the first time a flight on a real A320 simulator. I'm so thrilled and nervous!
Thanks!
Thanks
Thanks for your support Scott! Really appreciate it!
Keep it up.
it's amazing how fast you're actually flying when it looks so slow
This is excellent. I'm just a land-lubber, yet I've flown commercially many times. If I'm in a window seat I always watch the take-offs and landings. To me these operations define the skill of piloting. And the technology of physics, frankly. Then I relax and wait for the drink-tray. You pilots are the BEST.
Wow the island scenery and the Mediterranean Sea look amazing in this video. 2 things about this video:
1. I didn't know Santorini had an airport capable of handling big jets
2. I have no idea how the other pilots in the cockpit are able to concentrate with you there! You are gorgeous!!
Oh and new subscriber! Hi from Texas
Santorini ... my very favorite place in Europe too !!!
There is some quality video editing right here! 10/10 (PS: great landing)
Interesting that the airport is pixelated on Google Earth. I wonder what's being hidden. Thank You for another most entertaining and educational video.
maybe it's at 9:31 ?
Absolutely breathtaking. Fantastic piloting too, well done 👏
Retired now, but flew in this part of the world often. The Mediterranean is just a beautiful place. One of the few places I miss. Very nice approach and landing. Great video.
Não é possível isso! Uma deusa alada enviada à terra diretamente do paraíso! :-) Choque
A beautiful approach and landing by a skilled pilot with vibrant personality and a wise one as well ! Thank You so much ! We would like to see
such more video clips from you, please !
Bless You !
I'd love to visit Santorini. I've always felt like I had a life there 2500 yrs ago. I don't know why but it's always drawn me in. It's like I can see the stone streets like I've been there all my life. I can't explain it
Mate . Get a grip
The Bible says we were with God when he created the Earth and Heaven so this is probably what your referring too.See the book of Genesis ch.1.
Ugh looks like someone really needs a lot of attention. Narcissistic much?
1st video for yours I came across
Awesome video
One really that stood out to me was I really like how u put what you're doing at the time. Like when u were landing, little pop ups would come on the screen of what u did. For us learning, that's definitely helpful!
Will be watching more of your videos
I admire how cool and calm all these pilots are , such massive responsibility, they deserve every penny the earn .
Well produced and presented videos, I just can’t believe that there is so much interest in the stuff I did for the last 23 years.
Nice vid DPG - love your channel after only 5 mins of viewing. Great attention to detail; I'm an accountant - it takes one to know one. Landing on Santorini - you lucky gal! Looking forward to a little binge watching of your channel. Here's a like for ya!
Could keep looking at this pilot for a million years.
I was just in Santorini but by Celebrity Cruises Reflection ship. We saw the airport from the top of the old Pyrgos castle. Would love to come back someday but by plane!
Being onboard an aircraft is one of my favorite experiences. Don’t know why, I just enjoy it.
Ive watched A LOT of Aviation vids and this is some of the best footage/Info ive ever seen.. the pop ups to let you know whats happening, even the model of bose headset! Easy sub and like! Great job with zero annoying commentary or music!
What a beautiful job you have. Flying airplanes Due to deafness I could never be a pilot. But I do love flying as a passenger. Ga zo door en vlieg er op los.
I've watched this video a dozen times and every time you manage to land safely. Well done! ;)
Aircraft pilot and train engineer/conductor has to be the most chill, yet fulfilling job. It's a nice combo of responsibility, concentration and methodology, so relaxing as well.
