Flying is truly a marvel of human technology! Over the past few years, I've learned so much from my trips to Thailand. I was really scared at first, but watching educational videos has helped me understand the process and feel much calmer. Exposure to safe experiences that once caused anxiety can really help reduce worry. ✈️🌏
I’m a frequent flyer yet I’m still a little bit terrified of flying, but any time I watch this channel I start to realize that flying is 100% safe. For you to be an airline pilot and carry hundreds of passengers to and from different states or even different COUNTRIES is truly mind blowing to me. Pilots should be more respected, and I give you mad respect. Keep up the great work with the A320 and I hope you have an amazing career
Thank you so much! I think that facing your fear of flying by watching technical videos and better understand the flight principles, the procedures, etc. is a very good way to be less frightened by that!
Same here: frequent flyer terrified by flying but I watch a lot of videos of aviation including terrible accidents and I learn that that circumstances are so rare and the latest technology helps a lot to prevent such, because ppl always make mistakes but the machines are there to prevent those and protect us
@@shanenyc77 Actually that's not true either. I know they say that, but flying is very dangerous because I am a private pilot. About 1 pilot is killed every day in a plane crash. Since there are WAY less pilots than drivers, its a LOT more dangerous to be flying your plane than driving your car. FACT, there are about 200K private pilots in the US. There are 200 million drivers of cars. a few hundred pilots die each year, but 40,000 drivers die. Do the math and tell me again how driving is safer.
I love watching pros like this make it look easy. All the procedural information is great for understanding all the safety and efficiencies acquired over the decades of operating big airports. Bonjour to everyone at AF!
It was great how periodically you interspersed maps/charts etc; it made it easier for us non pilots to understand exactly where you were in the approach
In 2020 we took off from 04 out over Jamaica Bay. Luck smiled on me. I was on a window seat and on the right side of the aircraft. I took the whole takeoff sequence and even got the planes shadow as we departed.
When I first discovered your channel, I was a middle school student who dreamed of becoming a pilot, and now I'm about to graduate from high school! Your videos have been a great motivator for me whenever I'm so exhausted. Thank you so much :D
Hi Captain! The reason why this channel is such a huge hit is because there’s absolutely nothing like it on UA-cam. Saying goodbye to the 777 is sad in a way but I look forward to many more trips in the A320 from the left side. Congratulations!🎉🎊🎈🍾
Just about everyone with an instrument rating can feel for the pilot monitoring's loss for words at 9:15. It really is a mouthful to repeat. Also: excellent airmanship at 12:39 - double-checking the clearance to land. Smart!
I love those videos ! And I'm still amazed that pilots who aren't English-native speakers can understand the controllers' instructions, even more when they speak quite fast (same the other way, with the French accent). I know pilots are trained, but I needed subtitles on this one 😊. Great job indeed !
Used to live there. I didn't see the Elmont water tower, my high school, or Green Acres. Unusual coming in on Runway 4R. Most of the time we would come in on 22R, straight down Elmont Road to the runway.
Ah, it looked like a beautiful day in New York. Such a sense of calm up in the air (I mean, up in ze air) with all of those hues of blue in sight and awesome landscapes. I most certainly enjoyed your content Captain. Fantastic viewing! A big hearty thank you, most appreciated it. As I look much more forward to seeing your new videos on the A320 airbus, I wish you lots of success on your new adventures ahead ❤😊.
Beautiful video! And congratulations on your upgrade :) it sounded like you got a little flustered on the approach clearance. When they vector you to final here in the US, the approach clearance is always really long, but it follows a pattern: PHAC: Position, Heading, Altitude, Cleared "Airfrance 004 Heavy you are 8 miles from final approach fix, turn right heading 010, maintain 3000 until established on the localizer, cleared ILS4R approach into Kennedy" For the read back, just pay attention to the heading and altitude, you know what approach you're flying anyway: "right turn to 010, maintain 3000, cleared ILS4R approach, AF004H"
It is my dream to become a pilot and you have motivated me to go the extra mile completing this journey. I will miss The Iconic 777 but I look forward to see things on the left side. Thank you Captain.
Thanks a lot for your comment and I wish you to accomplish your dream to become a pilot! ✈️ Your message also motivates me to continue producing videos so thanks again! 🙏
This may be my new favorite aviation channel. Love the video especially all of graphics and charts. Terrific stuff and well-done. Thank you for posting.
Super !
Beautiful weather for the last! Bye bye to the B777! Can't wait to see a whole new setup, new checklists, and NEW ANGLE! Congrats cap! 🫡 Also, legit got jumpscared by the sun 15:09
This is incredible. It funny….tried to mirror this same flight using PMDGs 777 in MSFS. It’s amazing how real it looked. Love the videos…..keep them coming. And good luck in the airbus! It’s a completely different animal (as u likely know).
After all these years, still kind of amazed at the skill of these professionals that they can get their last command from the tower roughly 4 minutes out from landing and drop 140 tons on what is essentially a postage stamp. Wild!
Incroyable merci pour tout ce contenu que vous avez pu nous fournir ces dernières années sur le 777. Ces vidéos vont quand même me manquer, à bientôt pour de nouvelles vidéos et merci encore capitaine 💪
