Hi everyone! On my previous video (Landing in Amsterdam airport) many of you asked me if I could also share the departure of the same flight in Nice! What did you think of this pushback, taxi, takeoff and initial climb? Have an amazing week guys!❤
It was fun to watch. And I'm a bit jealous: it felt like you switched your altimeter to standard pressure just a few seconds after takeoff. I, OTH have to wait for ages until the C172 I do my training on could switch to the flight levels 🛩️😅 Oh, and btw: what is the transition altitude in France?

Like you, years ago, I was able to go into the cockpit of a Lufthansa. I told the captain that I had a Private Pilots Licence (flying Cessna 150 and 172). He looked at me, paused a few seconds whilst rocking the palm of his outstretched and inverted hand. He frowned and said "50:50". I think I will leave flying to the experts.
A dear friend of mine who knows my deep passion for anything aviation (I’m 50, he’s 75) got to go into the cockpit and take a pic of the cockpit and pilots (doing thumbs up to me) the last two times he traveled a couple years ago, because he told them about me and asked them. I was so happy about those pics, a stupid big smile from joy all over my face, immensely grateful to the pilots letting my friend take the pics to send to me, maybe they understand how much it meant to me since, well, I guess they have the same love for flying and planes… I wouldn’t post those pics anywhere, won’t show them to anyone, wouldn’t want even the slightest chance of those pilots getting into some kind of trouble simply for making and old lady happy lol. And I actually got to go inside a cockpit myself when a was a teenager (like y’all say, back when you could do that). Happy days. I understand why it’s not allowed any longer. Just wanted to tell my little story - how sometimes seemingly small things means the world.

Very enjoyable! Thanks for sharing this!! My 1st airplane ride was immigrating to the USA from the Netherlands in 1957, via KLM, in a Lockheed Constellation. I vividly remember that flight and it instilled a desire to learn to fly. I realized that dream in 1984 and continue to enjoy this hobby as a private pilot.

Another amazing video. So interesting to see all the pop up information. The attention to detail is wonderful. Keep up the great work and i look forward to the next wonderful Cockpit View video.
I live in Renton Washington USA. The factory that makes 737's is located there. We see them built at the rate of more than 1 a day and we see their first flights from Renton to Boeing Field a distance of 5 miles. What we see here is done thousands of times everyday. It makes the citizens and the craftsmen of these fine aircraft very proud. Excellent video...enjoy your beautiful plane. She will never let you down.
Nice video! I like the text boxes that pop up pointing to various controls and ATC clearances. It was interesting to see you steering the nose wheel on the ground. I’ve flown right seat on a few large aircraft, but the tiller was always on the left seat only.
In another video (don't know if the same aircraft type) she pointed out there was a tiller on the right side also. It may be some sort of option when a company buys the plane.

I had the chance to pass my pilot's license when Nice still housed the acaca aeroclub for its staff in the 90s. Thank you for this beautiful video... What a chance to fly, enjoy it ......
I really like these videos, especially because you add in the flight information as it's happening on screen. ATC clearances, checklists, etc. are great for the pilots out here. One thing, I noticed that, on the ground, your nose seems to track right over the centerline. I did some training in an A320 sim once, and the nose gear must be further behind the pilot because I had to swing out wide over the line when taxiing around turns to keep the nosewheel on the centerline.
After flying a few times, it's interesting to see ho much the pilots have to go through before and during takeoff. Safety is the primary concern and these people do a great job.
I love Nice Airport. Reminds me of my visits to my grandparents. You take off into the sea, ascend to almost cruising height on a long loop out at sea, then come square into the town and then into the mountains at great height, barely able to discern the coastline, the main streets and the hills where you hiked just the day before. Landing in Nice is also fun - you skim the crests of the waves, almost touching them, for a long long time, seeing miles of beach and seaside promenade glide past backwards, and suddenly the airport appears at almost zero altitude, and you are there. That's because the airport is on a peninsula out at sea.
Love these videos, just beautifully done. Michelle, I'm curious about the long sweeping right turn shortly after takeoff, that seemed to be about a 270 degree turn. Is this to allow the aircraft to gain enough altitude to clear the mountains in the distance? Or maybe just an atc procedure for Nice? Thank you and keep up the good work!
Hi! It's a normal procedure in Nice, it's indeed surrounded by high terrain north of the airport and it's quite a busy airport as well, lots of traffic
Brilliant video Michelle. I can see you use English as a common language for the aviation industry. But I’m surprised that you use feet and MPH imperial measurements as it appears most of the world uses metric measurements as a standard.

As always, thank you for the video. I'm flying in VR in the South of France and Corsica island. For the next videos is it possible to indicate which SID and STAR are you using? Could you please talk about the transition level, and how to manage it with the standard pressure rules? Thank you so much for your work 😊

Dear Michelle, this is a wonderful video. I'm happy to see you flying in the cockpit. You have added many hints on what is going on, this is really helpful for me! Thanks!
I do appreciate the video with these little tips, it's really pleasant, and I learn quit a bit. So, little questions for you, hope you don't mind. 1- Why can't we use the APilot a few minutes after take-off? 2- When you're taking off how much is the vertical speed approximately ( without the AP )? Thanks for you time.
I don't think I could bring myself to fly again, the fear leading up to it spoils the trip, but you make this look so calm and normal, same goes for similar clips I have seen from other pilots. Good 'therapy' for those who are just a little nervous of flying but still need some encouragement.
En was is het weer leuk en leerzaam om deze video te zien! Ik heb altijd belangstelling gehad voor vliegtuigen want mijn vader werkte bij de KLM vann 1947 tot 1980 en als kind kwam ik vaak op het oude Schiphol.
Nice smooth take off. Love the look of the cockpit panel! Retired private pilot in the US... My retractable Cessna N9468 was a dream to fly. But in the minor leagues with what you have to manage. Keep up the great work.

I’m so glad that I found your you tube videos. I’m so impressed with your explanation of what you do and what they mean. I’ll continue to watch as long as you make them.
Very nice! Kind of special watching you hand fly :-) All the way up to FL10 Really enjoy those videos. Hand flown appr and landing from 10 or above would be cool too!
Always fun to hand fly!
Thoroughly enjoyed this video with explanation. More please.
As always, thank you for the video.
I'm flying in VR in the South of France and Corsica island.
For the next videos is it possible to indicate which SID and STAR are you using?
Could you please talk about the transition level, and how to manage it with the standard pressure rules?
Thank you so much for your work 😊
Thanks Eric, good suggestions! I will try next time :) All the best
Jij moet een award krijgen voor het maken van al jou vids op youtube.
Erg mooi en duidelijk en krijg een goed beeld hoe het is om piloot te zijn.
Keep up the good work👍🏼
Hé, is dat Michael als CPT? Gaaf hoor! Hele leuke video weer! ^_^
Ik dacht dat ik de enige was die het in de gaten had! :-)
Plain and simple, Michelle...I absolutely love you and your videos. Keep up the good work! It's easy to see you put a lot of effort into your work. 😀
Admirável sua profissão,meus respeito👏👏🇧🇷🇧🇷🛫
I love your personality. You are so friendly. Pilots must love to fly with you.
I'm only type rated for an armchair but I have to say, that was an absolute pleasure to watch. Your control inputs are exquisite to an old washed-up racer like me. Fly safe Dutch Pilot Girl and grease a landing for me if you'd be so kind.
Hi! Glad to hear you like the video! All the best
take skill ,i live on my own had 5 major surgery 4 months in hospital 3 months intensive care 1 month on ward ,so nice to see lovley lady x
Is the captain of this flight mightymkl? He looks a lot like him
Dear Michelle, this is a wonderful video.
You can use the autopilot above 400 ft AGL but it's not mandatory to do so. The vertical speed depends on so many things, it always varies 😉
@@DutchPilotGirl All right, I got it. Merci beaucoup!
I don't think I could bring myself to fly again, the fear leading up to it spoils the trip, but you make this look so calm and normal, same goes for similar clips I have seen from other pilots.
Good 'therapy' for those who are just a little nervous of flying but still need some encouragement.
Cheeecked
🤣🤣
Fijne avond :)
Hii, Hw r you Michelle?!
I am good thanks, how are you?
I watched it twice and both times I forgot to read the text, just looking outside. Wonderful. Thank you.
Well done. Probably the best aviation video I have ever watched.
so nice, i'm french international permanent traveller and it's amazing to see this. thanks a lot
Thanks for taking us along.
You're welcome!
From Casper, WY, retired ATC. Thanks for the notes on the flap retraction points. Helps me with my flight sim.
Nice smooth take off. Love the look of the cockpit panel! Retired private pilot in the US... My retractable Cessna N9468 was a dream to fly. But in the minor leagues with what you have to manage. Keep up the great work.
Just like with surgery, I'm glad there are skilled professionals like you who can do this well so that it can be done safely. You make it look easy. I get nervous just watching over your shoulder.
dear Capt. Michelle Gooris this is the most nice video of takeoff civilian flight. very well done COMPLIMENT
I love Nice airport take off and landings. Awesome video.
Wonderful and so informative. I used to fly a Cherokee Six when i worked in Alaska awhile back. So it's great fun to watch you and explain. The way you present the info is so cool. Thank you.
thanks for taking me along
How have I only just discovered this channel. Fantastic views and flight information. Great.
Really well made videos in my opinion. I particularly like the way the graphics and type information work with with great images.
I loved the on screen annotations and the runway/flight plan were cool too. I’ve never seen anyone do that last bit before!
The best produced aviation videos on YT.
when it comes to aviation you are my one of the best inspiration....i have always dreamed of becoming a pilot just like u, you are so lucky... love from INDIA
Love to watch departure and landing videos especially text messages for the pilots from Tower are a great improvement in aviation.
Yesterday I flew to Lanzarote, and I was surprised seeing you glancing from the cockpit, while the captain welcomed us aboard through the pursers phone. I recognized you immediately! And it was confirmed as the captain introduced you. Nice to be flown by you! I like your video's.
Really Awesome. I love this perspective and all your pop ups telling about instruments and procedures.
