Your chat is really bad at giving you advice...you missed Clouds end game weapon. When you fight the flying Monster ( planet weapon ) 3 time i believe or was it 5 times ( that's when you really beat him ) then it will drop Clouds end game sword, if i remember correctly. From the same monster one can learn the Shadow flare attack ( or what ever its name was ) with the Skill Materia. You also missed the end game Summon called Knights of the round ,but on the other hand to get that you need to breed a lot Chocobos to get a chocobo that can run on water, climb mountains etc... Also the reason last boss Sephiroth did so much damage to you was because you were actually really under leveled. Some of your characters have the same HP than sephiroth at the beginning of the game when he was fighting the Dragon with Zack (looking like cloud because cloud was recalled false memories). _______________________________________ About Sephiroths SUPER NOVA attack... Sephiroth doesn't call or Cast a real super nova he actually Sommons the Party into a time in space where a supernova take place while he is not really there when the attack hits but your party is there. Its like when your stronger Summons take an enemy into their realms and then use an attack on them . Weaker summons like SHiva and Ifrit appear in the real world while stronger summons also appear but they then summon the enemy into their relm where they attack them. ________________________________________ If you want the full ff 7 story explained to you, so you really understand everything from start of the story to the end of the game then i suggest this video ... it explains the story perfectly . That guy that commented with a long list of what youve missed probably didnt even know everything he said on his first playthrough too. If not then he probably had some outside help like a walkthrough or something. Dont mind guys like him. You dont need to perfect a game to enjoy it.

I haven't played this in at least 23 years. It's super exciting seeing younger generations relive our classics. The Remake is cool in its own way; I'd love to see them do the rest of the story if they ever get to it.

Well. Aerith's name was meant to be Aerith right from the get-go (The Japanese OG version). The Romaji of Aerith is E-ri-su (Japanese don't have the -th sound so they had to go with that). Later then, the translation team for the North American version was kinda confused, so they decided to flip the coin for Aerith or Aeris. And you know the rest.
Talking to Aerith instead of telling to run away gives you “relationships point” with her (not necessarily relevant). There are TONS of mini-games built into this. For example, you can explore Wall Market and pick enough equipment to make Cloud Don Corneo’s pick.
This is pretty cool. I been SOOOO INTERESTED in how people who play remake 1st then original react to things. Its such an interesting way to experience the story. Between original, remake, crisis core its almost like you can start at either
I loved Remake, but the one place where I found it fell pretty short was the blood trail scene. In the OG, it's such an intense moment. The silence, followed by the creepy music, bodies all over the place. It's chilling. And in Remake you're just slowly following a purple goo trail haha. I also find it so interesting that even with just polygon shapes, they were able to give them some character. Like, Tifa's swag walk in her cowboy outfit. You would think that you need a realistic looking human model to pull that off, but nope, they can have a pixelated square looking thing do it too
Cloud said it had been 5 years since that was how long it had been since the Nibelheim incident.When Tifa talks about how it had been 7 years since he left their hometown, she's referring to when he left to join Soldier, which was two years prior to said incident.
I first played ff7 og when i was 12yrs old. When i found out that Advent Children exist I am so excited to watch it and ended up so confused why the party wont maficaly go inside Cloud. I thought it was a thing for ff7 story lmao.

I find it hilarious that young ppl think that graphics were like they are today and that there's a beginning to all games. This was cutting edge technology back then. We appreciated the progression of things.
The gfx of ff7 were not cutting edge though. The story telling, characters and cutscenes were. There were already a ton of games out with better graphics.
@@QLMTA true but compared to the rest of the previous final fantasy games it was a major improvement. I went from SNES to PS1 and the graphics were what they were. Compared to games now that ppl who weren't born when it came out think that it looks like roblox. And furthermore the game clay fighters was considered cutting-edge for the SNES system, that game was done with clay figures and put into action. I wasn't harping on the player just making a comment on how things were before 2000
Yeah…. I would have loved for you to have NOT been spoiled for that part. But it was such a HUGE moment in gaming for the 90’s that even people who DIDN’T play the game knew about it
Oh boy, you're starting OG? D: Get ready for major spoilers. But also keep in mind this isn't going to have the same story beats as Remake. Lots of fans speculate Remake is actually a sequel so just keep that in mind.
Alana Misako, please keep in mind later, that the FF7 port you are playing on right now, LATER in the game, I believe it fucked up an integral moment of Cloud's memory. So, I'm gonna have to bug you to watch the original PS1 cutscene for it later. I dont want to spoil it now, but when you get there, only the PS1 original does the musical scoring properly during a VERY important scene. all other ports were fucked up for some reason.
It's because, many years back, Square scrapped the final build of the game shortly after release, so the PC port's team had to use some older, wonkier build with technical issues like that. Every future release is based on that 98 PC port.

Still love the snall detail of lvling from 6 to 7... because its the 7th final fantasy. They even do it in remake.
