And to think we fans were worried they wouldn't include the dress part in the remake. well they outdid themselves and gave us a really memorable moment in gaming!. I'm glad you're enjoying the game so much (enjoyed?). This is one of the best sequences ever. So much fun!
I just finished this game again last night for the literal 10th time. I’ve played this section of the game over 15 times, and I’ve watched so many UA-camr’s play through of the game! I simply can’t get enough of this game.
I like how they changed this location from the original game. In the old version it's more seedy and pretty clear it's a brothel. They made it into this amazing cabaret club with the new character of Andrea as the owner introduced as this fabulous showman.
The VA for Aerith is currently uploading her playthrough on StrangeRebelGaming. It's really cool to see how she put so much work into getting it right and the emotions she has reacting to the completed work hits you in the feels.
Man, this chapter... Cloud receives a hand job, then we fight a house, and then we go get FABULOUS~ I like the contrast between the Honey Bee Inn and Don Corneo's mansion: The first place is raunchy, sure, but it's also clearly an inclusive, accepting, open-minded and sex-positive environment with no demeaning attitudes, instead being encouraging and supportive, both in regards to its employees as well as its patrons. The latter place, on the other hand, is sleazy, exploitative, has an unsubtly objectifying and degrading atmosphere on top of being explicitly sexually abusive. Going from one place to the other feels to me a bit like going from a place where you feel that consent is prioritized and anyone can be themselves without being judged, while the latter is a place where a sweaty old man puts his greasy hand on your leg without caring for a second about your consent on the matter, because he's of the mind that he's entitled to do whatever he wants. All in all, a great juxtaposition. I look forward to absolutely wrecking the Don.
Not gonna lie but when I played this game, the Honey Bee Inn music got stuck in my head for days. Truly the pinnacle of gaming. XD One more thing, when I played the original many years ago, I was always on team Tifa but when I played this and saw the red dress scene, I totally fell in love with Aerith.
Ehh I have yet to see someone's playthrough where they choose Aerith in the sewers. It's actually the tie-break choice to see Aerith or Tifa scene later if you do all quests.
