I'm glad they did this for Yuffie, she probably lost the least out of all of the party members so she didn't really fit in... not to mention that most of the time throughout the original, it was trying to be really serious but having Yuffie be on the team just made it so there was a goofy child to ruin the tension... I'm hoping she's more bearable in part two.

Yes, certainly, Yuffie's country has lost a lot but she never really seemed to care in the original game, it never seemed to affect her so I don't really consider it a motivation for her (even though the reason she became a Materia thief was because of her country's loss, her personality never really reflected it, it just seemed like something she enjoyed doing). The most character she really ever shows in the original was when she fought her father but after making up with him, she went on to be her mischievous little self again and was just a tension breaker throughout the rest of the game. The remake seems to be giving her more personality with her being mostly the same as in the original up until Sonon's death which will probably lead to even more character development later in the story, probably when Deepground shows back up again.
So if the fight with Yuffie happened the day that Cloud fell into the church, Corneo's thugs got their ass beat by Yuffie and then the very next night got their asses beat by Tifa and Aerith. After getting those two beatings back to back it might be time to go looking for a new job.
This DLC is so sad, but is my favorite part too. I'd like to recommend you that after playing through all of FF7 pieces, then going back to remake again. Your perspective would change so much! And I like how you react. You keep smiling makes me so happy😆😆

Your stuff rocks. Speaking of Hisoka - Togashi, HxH's author, had Cloud make a cameo as one of Milluki (Killua's second older brother) figurines I think, in the manga. And I think FF8's boxart also made a cameo there as well - as one of the JoyStation games that Gon & Kiru play (both these games & HxH are about the same age) :3
Those "wayward wolves" at the beginning is a subtle nod to the original. Right outside Midgar are wolf enemies, but since this takes place before the collapse, you aren't meant to be fighting them yet, so them coming to sector 7 and wrecking your shit was just *chefs kiss
It's been just wonderful watching through all of these the last few days. It'll be awesome seeing you check out Crisis Core Reunion in December! It's awesome seeing you get into Final Fantasy games, and seeing that you've gone through the OG and I think most of FFX now, especially since it means a lot more to check out on VoDs and archives. I have a feeling you'd enjoy FFXV as well if you need another one to check out at some point.

I think this Zack is in an alternate timeline. In Zack timeline we saw a bag with Stamp the Dog, and he was wearing a hat, but in the original timeline Stamp the Dog is wearing a helmet.

Yuffie is amazing but seeing those 1000s attacked during the stagger at 16 she seems overpowered. She could be almost as strong as Cloud at this rate in 5 years lol. They need to cap her levelling in the next game just to make it seem on par with her age but still brilliant and enjoyed fighting as her nontheless!
Death is something you should get used to when you're playing a Final Fantasy game.. the story is not complete without a character dying/sacrificing themselves😭

Loss is a fundamental piece of FF7. Every character has experienced it to one degree or another. The DLC cranked it up for Yuffie.
