This shop truck body design looks even better with scuffs on it though! :D Yeah, this truck makes me wish I had access to an actual RC track. Unfortunately there is no such thing around here. I have been in contact with someone who is supposedly building a BMX track in the spring though, so I may be able to work something out with them. :)
Flyin' Ryan RC Doesn't you mom and dad's place have a large field? May be worth a try one weekend when you don't have to work if the snow lets up that is.
They have large grass areas, but the dirt fields are plowed and way too rough to do any sort of fast driving on. :(

Looks like the power of that truck would make for some great drifts ... I'm thinkin' slicks or full power with those "nobbly" tyres on a shallow turn : very cool video , very enjoyable .
That and the bison are awesome trucks! You really need a track for these.
Yeah, having such capable trucks now definitely makes me crave an actual RC track. I've found out that a BMX track is being built nearby, this spring, and have contacted the owner about possibly allowing RCs, or having RC events. I am going to get in contact with him this spring, when construction begins, and see what we can work out. :)

Good run Ryan! Have you seen the flit or something of that nature they sell for the roll bar so you can spark it up when dragging on your hood..Good sales pitch to sell more bodies lol...I love my Arrma's They are crazy fast and tough for sure!
I saw their video about that! But, I wasn't sure if that is a product they are selling, or if they just designed it to fit standard lighter flints, or what. I may consider giving that a try at some point. :) The roof has a sticker on it that says "DANGER SPARKS". hahaha Love this truck. :D

Would've been awesome when you done the hood slide near the end if the self righting feature could've brought you out of that. I could see this making for some really cool tricks like in a area where there is roots coming up out of the ground.
Nice truck, you need a wheelie bar like the stampede uses. My stampede will hit 55 mph on 3s but it is not controllable. I use 2s lipos and it will top out in the high 40's and it is semi drivable. Looks like fun now go to home depot and get some bulk chain and make a set of chains in case you get any snow, they will make that truck wheelie on snow and ice.
This does have a wheelie bar, but it's very high, so this thing pretty much stands on end when doing wheelies. :) I have a Stampede VXL too, and it's a fun truck. :)
Yes it is. I got mine on a trade I didn't have a truck and my buddy wanted a quad I traded him an RC Logger eye one extreme for the stampede. I converted mine to brushless but it is just the two wheel drive.

Yep, I'll be back soon! As for those micro brushless racers... the problem with those is that I just don't have a very good way of showing them on camera, especially the FPV aspect. Something that small, but brushless, would have to be flown outdoors, and therefore it wouldn't show up on my hatcam very well at all. :/

Looks like the body will have some war wounds! I think it looks slow because Ryan is taking it easy he is not going all out leaving it floored for to long.
Yeah, it's got some road rash already, but it actually makes the truck look even cooler, since that 'shop truck' design looks good with some wear and tear. :) Not sure why anyone thinks this looks slow! It's crazy fast. And yeah, I didn't floor it for too long, but I did get some full throttle hits and it sure looks fast to me. Maybe it just doesn't come across well on video.
Flyin' Ryan RC na these guy's saying it looks slow are used to seeing guy's flying full speed for real long distance and just beating the crapl out of there trucks and jumping super long jumps and stuff.

That's why I like just rear wheel drive for the faster trucks. The drive on the front wheels does very little for traction with the weight transfer to the rear during acceleration. Two wheel drive gives a simpler vehicle with a better power to weight ratio.
What Lipo Battery would you recommend for 6S? I don’t have one, but just wanna know. ;)

I know it's not really your thing, but I am sure me as well as some of your other viewers would appreciate it a lot! It would be awesome to hear your thoughts and see you drive something like an X0-1 or an RS4 sport 3 flux! Hoping for your reply. :)
This ARRMA Outcast is high end. This thing cost me 500 bucks! ;) I can't afford a lot of vehicles like this though, and something like the X0-1 is out of the question because there's simply no way I could show off a vehicle like that. You need a race track, basically, in order to get that thing going anywhere near top speed.
I understand, that a car like that would be impossible to drive around normally for a review. But do you think you would be able to perhaps take a look at the Sprint 2 Flux or perhaps some reasonable On-Road vehicles?
I don't know, because I just don't really have a great on-road track to show that kind of car off. I think it would be a bit boring just to see me drive it around a parking lot. I will consider it though. I do really want to try a car like that, and/or a drifter. I just need to decide if my running area options make it feasible. It's also winter here now, so I wouldn't be able to review something like that at least until spring.

to do the self righting, and backflips, you have to set the punch to 9 in the esc. the manual will show you how to do it. super easy, and insane once you do it.

Ryan, I think people are used to seeing 1/18 cars on your channel, which look faster than they actually are, so a big 1/8 probably confused their perception. What do you think?

Hey Ryan , Are you gonna upgrade your camera quality in the future?
In the future when camera quality gets better, sure. This is 1080P 60FPS, so it's about as good as it gets for now. There isn't much point in filming in 4K yet.

Doesn't look slow at all to me. I'd say it's even faster then a few nitro powered trucks I've had. Might need longer wheelie bars though to keep that beast from flipping lol.
Once I get a feel for the throttle, I expect to be able to get better at launches without wheelies, and get better speed runs. It is definitely fast though, but I just can't go full throttle for long in this small lot, so I think people just aren't getting a proper sense of its abilities. I also am only running 35C batteries, so I expect even more punch when I get my 90C batteries. :)

I reviewed their old nano drone, and Sky Viper did send me a couple of their new models, but not the M500 for some reason. Maybe I'll just go out and buy it myself, because I am curious to see if they fixed the dropout issue that the original had.

I've reviewed one so far.
Back Flip - Full throttle from 0 Mph hit brakes after one backflip ...
Two Back flips - Full Throttle from Zero MPH let wheels touch then full throttle again
( Traction / wheels and surface matter a lot ... and heavy oil or Locked diffs / diff brain makes stunts easier )
(( if you want pure stunt mode ! remove all the shock oil and just go with bouncy springs , when you accelerate from 0 and compress the springs as you wheelie they just bounce you higher in your backflip )) but it can make you bouncy on all landings you jump ))
i like pure speed and air more than stunts and flips XD
That is what I was doing, but I think 35C batteries just don't have the punch to do backflips. I have new 90C batteries now that I will try again with. And, apparently you didn't watch my jumping video?
Flyin' Ryan RC better batts could help , or changing the gearing and bigger / heavier tires or just making the stock tires heavier would help it do flips ... also your punch and brake settings in your ESC options ...
there are a ton of tricks people do to make cars do what they want...
just trying to help you get to where you wanna be.

I keep things stock, for the sake of my reviews and letting people know what to expect right out of the box. :) According to ARRMA marketing, I'm pretty sure they are claiming this is capable of backflips as it comes right out of the box. :)
hey Ryan I need some help my skyviper 950 won't bind to my remote any ideas?the lights on the quad stay solid after plugin up bat.
Good batteries in the remote? Sure the quad battery is charged? Have you tried both combinations of turning on the quad first, then the controller, and also turning on the controller first, and then the quad? Has it even bound, or is this happening right out of the box?
yes tryed all that and have flown a lot I just changed the bats in remote was beeping low then this issue started
Seems like it must have something to do with the batteries in the controller then. Maybe try another new set?

That happens without the controller turned on? The timing seems too coincidental to not have something to do with you changing batteries in the controller. And, any difference when you turn one on before the other?

Wow that is super fast. Runs like a scalded dog. How fast would you say this is stock on the 6S?
They say 60mph, but that's probably with the optional on-road-only pinion gear. So, maybe 50ish with the stock gearing. :)

Well, that's a hard question to answer, because if you want something great for AV, you're going to have to spend a lot more than 150. The X8G probably has the best video quality, in that price range, but it's certainly not "great" for AV because it doesn't have a gimbal.

Ah, cool. I'm not familiar with the Q696, but I just looked it up, and it looks pretty cool! A cheap gimbal like that probably isn't overly smooth, but it should certainly be better than a static mount like the X8G. I wouldn't mess with WiFi FPV though... WiFi can often interfere with the radio signal. If you want FPV, I would suggest going for the 5.8ghz version.

I don't think it would fit, since this is a 1/8 scale, and the E-Revo is 1/10.
The E-Revo will fit the Traxxas Slash bodies Traxxas Slash can be turned into 1/8 scale buggies/truggy and I believe the Losi 8 buggy fit's
the E Revo actually is 1/8 scale but traxxas calls it 1/10

That could be interesting, but any time I've tried putting cameras on ground vehicles, the footage is just insanely shaky. It's almost like you'd need some sort of gimbal for an FPV camera. haha

Maybe you couldn't do the standing back flip because your battery has a low discharge rate.
No, it was because the ESC has a low "punch" setting out of the box. I had to program the ESC to turn the punch up to 9, and now it backflips like crazy. :) See the latest video on my channel for some slo-mo backflippin' fun! haha :)

Flyin' Ryan RC 3 months is a pretty long time! Have you been sick or just taking a break perhaps?
Well, it started out with being sick, but since then I've just been busy, or not inspired enough to film. It takes a lot out of me, and I have to be in the right mood for it. But, mostly, it's just being busy... I can only film on Saturdays, so if I have any other obligation on a Saturday, that pretty much ruins my chance to film. And my parents are getting ready to move out of the state, so I've been spending a lot of time helping them prepare for that.
