Great review, I bought an Arrma truck last spring and was very surprised at the nice quality of it. They are really easy to upgrade as well. Can't go wrong with one of these for backyard bashing and wicked speed!!

I always run my new rc vehicles on 3 or 4 S, slowly, in a parking lot in order to allow the gears to properly mesh together and break in. As a rule, I only do moderate bashing of all my vehicles...saves on expensive repairs.

Nice purchase Ryan. If it helps any I picked up some tx90/trx adapters on ebay and they only took a week to get here from China. This way I could use all my different size etc batteries with the trx plugs from my axial wraith too my Summit X-Maxxx etc..They work awesome plus you can keep the truck connecters stock.

Does an adapter like that reduce power though?
Not that I noticed, here is the link on what I used.
I also run deans to trx adapters for my rc's with deans connecters on esc. This way all is origanal if there should be a issue with a new RC car as far as warrantys etc. Both sytles work great and my mulitible brand batts with trx connecters work with any one of my Rc's..

I have two more vids of it coming out tomorrow, and Friday. Tomorrow is some quick rock pile jumps on 4S, and Friday is my first run on 6S and a few stunts. I plan on posting more videos, as I feel they are appropriate and add information. And I also plan on doing a full review. Winter is here now, and there is snow on the ground, which limits my options. But I do at least plan on doing a snow running video. :)

I'm seeing a lot of burnouts rather than grip, you need a good dirt area for those tires to work and pull the wheelies better. This is a nice rig, and not horrible on 4s but 6s is awesome lol. Nice run Ryan now don't break my truck :P
Yeah, I take it in the grass more in my 6S video. My 4S is only 10C, so I think that is a problem. I've ordered a 65C 4S, and I'm hoping that'll speed it up a bit. :)

I Just Got a Tower Hobby Sales Magazine in the Mail Yesterday with That Truck on the Cover!!!! Lol. I've been interested in How Durable it actually Was??? I can't believe it doesn't go any faster than that on 4S?!?!?!?! the brushless motor must be huge Jessica that much power and not even pull the front wheels off the ground especially on pavement??!! looks like a pretty good design and I'd love to see a parts explosion diagram!!! I'm Looking forward to seeing that thing run on 6s!!!!

My 4S is only 10C, so that may be slowing down the punch a bit, but it's still quite fast.... it's big and heavy though, so 4S isn't as much as it would be in something smaller and lighter. It seems incredibly durable though, just by looking at the parts. I've done a bit of jumping with it, and have done a little bashing, but I don't want to get *too* rough with it until I get my review done. :) It's absolutely awesome on 6S. Stay tuned to see that on Friday. :) And my jumping video (on 4S) will be out tomorrow.

Ryan you definitely need a higher C rate lipo bro. A 10C lipo can damage your esc and also damage the lipo itself. These high powered systems pull alot of amps and a 10C battery just cant keep up with the stress being pulled on it. Kind of a rule of thumb to this. If it is a high powered rc that runs on 4S or 6S the minimum C rating youll need is at 30C. I have Arrmas and I know first hand what kind of power they pull. My personal suggestion would be for 50C or above. Smc has awesome lipos at a great price and high C rates like 90C or 150C. Turnigy Graphene 65C are awesome in my Kraton and mine is way upgraded. Better to be safe than sorry man.
My 3S batteries are Duratrax, which is Hobbico's brand, like ARRMA, so that's what I was able to get a discount on (along with the Outcast) via my Hobbico contact. :) I forget what brand my 4S is... it's just some cheapo battery I got on eBay.
The problem for me, when it comes to batteries, is that I don't do any plug swapping. So, I have to find something that has the XT90 plug for this truck. And, I don't buy anything from HobbyKing. heh

I'm looking for something like this to go into crawl spaces, with FPV, lights and a wire grabber, but I'd like it SLOWER, so maybe a "crawler"? I like the weight because I'd prefer to pull wires back rather than a pull string, then wires and it takes mass to get traction while pulling against a horizontal load.

Do you like the controller? I never really liked those small wheeled controllers for RC cars especially one with this kind of power.
I've had no issues with it. It uses the Tactic SLT protocol though, so there is a whole line of very high-end transmitters you could buy to bind with it if you wanted to. Or, put your own Rx in, and bind to the radio of your choice. :) Kinda considering putting a Spektrum Rx in it, so I can bind it to the same radio I use with my Traxxas Stampede.

Does this truck have a slipper clutch? If it does tighten it up. Push it backwards manually, then hit throttle. It should come forward almost immediately. Still needs a little slip. On 6s, you will have to readjust.
It wheelies no problem on 6S. And, once I get a high C-rating 4S, it may wheelie on that too.
Hey i saw where you guys were talking about different batteries and someone mentioned smc ..I have the 3s 7200mah 90c true spec premium..they are fantastic in both the nero and the outcast and fit both perfectly ...and they pack a huge punch..when I bought them off the smc web site they were either 36 or 46 bucks they are a great battery with warranty ..I highly recommend

Those are.the ones I have and I love them I get around 40mins++ most of the time I still have 20% of battery when I get done with a run because the run time is so high

the diff brain helps with stunts like that ...
id leave the diff stock and more race than stunt ..

Hey how about the WL Toys v950 heli? I think it just came out earlier this year.
I don't know anything about it. Looks like a good size for outdoor flying though, and that brushless motor should give it plenty of power.

you need a 1/16 scale traxxas e revo put that on a 4s its crazy i can floor it and it will do a whole backflip
Yeah. that's an awesome little car, and I've wanted one for so long. :) This Outcast can do backflips on 6S, but I haven't been successful in pulling one off yet. I think I need higher C-rating batteries.

I have the truck and I'm not sure what batteries you are using but I wheelie all over the place with 4s no problem ..not sure.why you Arnt ..you may want to make sure you have fluid in you diffs..
My 4S is only 10C, so I think that's the problem. I just ordered a 65C 4S battery, so I will revisit a 4S run when that gets here. :)
Flyin' Ryan RC oh yea that was deff the problem... the truck is only sapose to be ran on 35c or higher to ensure you don't.damage ur batteries...but yea that was for sure the problem..once you get those new batteries you will be wheeling all over...but that slick parking lot isn't so good for traction...:-) :-)

Yep, with the default ESC settings (like I had in this video), it doesn't wheelie. But I turned it all the way up, and now I can do backflips. See some of the videos I posted after this one. :)

nice, stampede 4x4 vxl was one of the first RCs i wanted, when i got into the hobby, and the arrma 1/8 scales all look great

Only if you can be assured that there is no damage done. Sometimes people sell RCs because they have broken something that they don't know how to fix.

I don't know anything about the spare part options for this vehicle, but I'd say if you are going to replace something, you might as well take that time to also upgrade that part in any way possible.

No, this is just on a 4S battery. Full speed requires a 6S battery. See my video of my 6S run, for closer to top speed... though, I still don't hit top speed, because I just don't have enough room. It goes like 50-60MPH.
u can buy litehawk pruduct at radioshack.com or Frys electronics.com the crusher mt is 130 and the 4x4 mosnter is 189.
I dunno... I looked at the Crusher on Radioshack.com and it seems pretty expensive for what it is. I think you'd be better off spending less money on one of the Chinese brand trucks that I've reviewed. Looking at the controller for the Crusher, it may be a rebrand of a GPToys truck. I've seen that same controller with their models. And you can probably get a GPToys for like half that price. :)

also I don't see how thats expensive compared to my slash which was 200 + or a dromida rc truck which I bought for my friend's son's birthday and that was a 100 dollars and it was only a 1/18 scale.how much is the Chinese made RC truck? cuz I know Horizons are made in China and they're like 160- 190 just for the 2wd trucks
