Gothic 2 was better than 1 for me by a large margin

Not really the story and setting was much better in g1 and it was also more immersive g2 just had a few gameplay improvements and more content.

I played gothic 2 more than 1 because of the gameplay features yeah. But I thought the story of Gothic 1 was unmatched, and same for the atmosphere. It was so damn immersive
