    I've called a few local shops for quotes to have this done for me with no luck. Pulling apart the dash is intimidating. Wish you had shown that part......as people like me are likely to screw something up. Thanks for the video!

      I had hoped to get video of that but the guy filming me forget to press start. I have decided I am going to do a follow up video detailing the dismantling of the dash. It is intimidating, it scared the hell out of me lol. I will do that video in the next couple days so hang on and in the mean time if you have any questions feel free to reach out to me. Dod you buy the parts yet and where are you located? Thanks for watching :-)

    Awesome!! I know it’s a Gladiator but I wonder if I could do something similar in the JL by adding that side panel with the button and just purchasing a wire harness and cutting the panel in the back and adding the gladiator outlet.

    If the wiring harness for the inverter switch is behind the headlight switch, why do you have to remove the 8.4 display and dash? What am I missing?

    • @TheBHiveRV
      @TheBHiveRV  3 роки тому

      Good question so to get to all of the screws you need to remove to take out the old left side panel you need to remove the instrument bezel. To do that you have to remove the top dash trim piece and it just clips in except for 1 screw that happens to sit right behind the radio bezel. With that one screw out it pops right out. I will definitely follow up with a video showing all of this and o will try to do it soon. Thank you for watching:-)

    I see you have the optional switches on the center stack. Why not just use one of them?

    • @TheBHiveRV
      @TheBHiveRV  Рік тому

      Great question, so 1 i want to keep those available for other accessories in the future, 2 I am not sure how i would interface the switch with the inverter. The wiring is already ran at the factory to just install the switch and then it activates the truck bed output so why not use it. I guess it would save a couple bucks you would not have to buy the switch or the kick panel but i would imagine the easiest way to do that would be go right to the wiring harness that is already in place and see what wire goes to the inverter to activate it. Im sure the switch just completes a 12 volt circuit activating an output on the inverter. i could pull the switch and see what wire it is. Next time i have to pull it out ill do that. That would actually be a nice way to do it. Art least with the factory switch installed if i sell the truck it looks like it came from the factory that way and may increase the value a bit. Thank you for watching please consider subscribing.

    Why didn't you connect to your existing auxiliary switches?

    • @TheBHiveRV
      @TheBHiveRV  3 роки тому

      Great question, the system is already prewired because we have the inverter for the back seat. The outlet itself is more than just an outlet with three connectors its smart. It comes on when you open the lid and has lighting to illuminate it as well. the up fitter switches are just 12 volt power and would not have worked the same way at all. All of the components cost just around $200 dollars and is a super clean factory looking install that adds value to the vehicle. Thanks for watching and I appreciate the questions. :-)

      Good people are typically raised to make better choices - i.e. when you have nothing good or constructive to say, choose to say nothing at all. Truly ironic how you bible-thumpers always seem to be missing that human quality, and instead seek every opportunity to pass judgement upon others. That would be the definition of a hypocrite BTW. In the future perhaps choose to do better and try to be a better person. This fellow's video was of no cost to anyone here, and quite informative for those of us who have ability to follow basic instructions and connect dots in-between.
