Curious if this could replace my entire real estate fly through setup. I've got 2 decased gp10s, and 3 2.5in dji cinewhoops. Would be nice to have something that was reliable (more than my current setup since stuff breaks and I need backups) and an all in one solution. Would also be nice to have proximity sensors and a emergency hold button in the event I almost crash. Having both options, what route would you take, avata 2, or cinewhoop?
Thanks for the video! There’s a TON of Avata2 videos out there, but I trust value your opinion cause it comes from a place of experience and application.
Will you make a light saddle like you did for the Avata 1? If I get the Avata 2, I'm definitely going to need a light mount of some kind for interior building searches.
@OriginaldoBo I'm curious to know if the ventilation is at all improved on the Goggles 3 vs the 2/Integra. Personally I haven't had any issues but I know some ppl in high humidity areas have.
It was such an honor meeting you at the SFDM 4. I really enjoyed getting to visit with you. This is an awesome video. Thanks for giving us some great info on the Avata 2. I'm really considering getting it now.
Picture In Picture view does not make you FAA VLOS compliant. The way the law is written now it needs to be in view of a naked eye, or someone wearing corrective lenses. Camera view doesn't cut it. It's definitely a cool feature though, and will prove very useful all the same.
So many unanswered question. Can you disable gps and stay in normal mode for indoor flights? Has the arm/disarm method changed to a single button click, the two stick start method was awful and the drone cannot be disarmed quickly when needed What is indoor low light like, you should a very naturally well lit house, but what about dark places like bars and gyms?
Flew in the house ISO locked 1600 max I fly in manual no GPS and you can use this with out gps Arming can be done via switch This is not a review let me fucking repeat myself this is not a review
@@OriginaldoBo ok fella calm down. You’re one of the few YT guys I respect and trust. Most of the UK guys are first class knobs and say the same things. So when you go quiet on us with hard facts about performance it makes me nervous. I’ll still fly my cinelog 30 indoors but guess a few rely on the alt hold of the avata. I could not get away with in it manual indoors. Our houses are tiny over here
Just picked up two. For the most part they crushed it with the upgrades but disappointed in the passthrough and the rubber around the goggles with no padding.
@@OriginaldoBo Yeah bro. I’m always checking out the channel. Where do you think I get all my tips and tricks for realty shoots from. I liked the ones with the Ronin 4D. Not just quite there yet. I’ll say hi more.
The nub is super fragile and had popped off twice just touching it. Horrible connection system. The controller Will end in the bag when I recieve the rc3
So... an original Avata owner wants to justify this, but has made so much more $$$ using a traditional drone (Air 2s, Air 3, etc)... would you say the camera upgrade makes this worthy of 'professional' work?
Before I start criticizing, I love your content and this was a great review. However, I disagree with all of these reviews of the Avata 2 coming out. The upgrades to this drone are pretty minimal for a price tag of $999+. Yes they listened to a lot of what people were complaining about, but they really missed the mark on a lot of features we were needing. I was hoping for 24fps recording which is crucial to filmakers, higher speed similar to the old DJI FPV drone to keep up with moving vehicles, and finally battery life to be on par with the mini pro models (30-34 mins of flight time). With that said, it is an upgrade, so this will be a great drone to buy instead of the 1st gen Avata if you're a first time buyer of FPV drones, but I can't see the value of it to upgrade from the 1st gen Avata, especially when you use gyro flow for stabilization and use D cinelike for color grading, vs log is not enough of a difference in format quality as people are making it out to be. I will be sticking with my Avata for a while longer until there is a sale for the Avata 2, or until the next generation.
You’ll never see 24 frames per second unless if we get a flight camera that is just dedicated for flight and a video recording camera simply because 24 frames per second while flying. FPV would be way too much motion, blur and lead to so many accidents. Sadly, when it comes to 24 FPS, it’s a dying frame rate
You could do 30fps and input it in a 24fps time line and slow it down to the correct speed and have a “dreamy” effect. Not true 24p but better than nothing. I use 24/30/60 in 24 timelines all the time.

I just want you to know Ken, out of the multitude of Avata 2 videos out there today this is the first one I clicked on.
And I appreciate you for doing that! I respect the OGs here on the channel 🙌🏻
I like when you are in the studio, but this outdoor video looks sooo good! plus video quality for some reason it's looking better than before!
🙌🏻
how about for real estate????
Eh I’m still not a fan of it

Yes in the works
Great overview of what has changed and improved on the DJI Avata 2. I loved the video, thanks for sharing.
What camera and lens did you use yo record this video? Its so vibrant and crisp
A6700
Only if you could change the camera to a NightVision Camera . That would buy.
Do you film manual for your house tours?
Typically
@@OriginaldoBo you’re the best man, I feel like you’re a fatherly figure on my drone journey
Great video, man. Can I use the motion controller 1 and the FPV controller 2 on the Avata 2 ?
Sadly no not yet
@@OriginaldoBo 👍👍🙏🙏
does it really have rear obstacle avoidance? first time i hear this
What about a mount for an insta360 camera such as the x3 or RS1inch360?
Soon
which controller do you prefer? how does a person, namely me, go about finding out which controller I'd like?
I prefer the RC since that’s how I started flying. The motion controller is still new to me
I wonder if maybe some of the better efficiency may come from the different configuration of the motors/props.
Efficiency has been much improved
Ken, are the ribbed duct guards made out of plastic or rubber? I see it appears to be plastic..Thanks, will pick them up when the Avata 2 arrives.
TPU rubber for absorption
@@OriginaldoBo Picking them now...excellent choice...Thanks
great first look!
nice review, but are you sure it has rear object avoidance, I thought the rear cameras are just to help with positioning ?
Has position cameras as well , it’s more or less just alert cameras
What rear obstacle avoidance Ken???
Back two sensors are Omni directional has two lowers as well.
Are we positive about obstacle avoidance
Doesn’t stop just alerts
Hi man! Could you provide a 4:3 D-Log M file? i will appreciate a lot! Regards

My guy Ken out here made an avata 2 video in the eyes of the Wolf of Wall Street. I dig it bro!
Jordan Belfort would be proud
The background stabilization in this video had me thinking I was drunk for a min haha. That aside very informative Ken!

Rubber is to reduce leaks works fine. The pass through is meh

0:45 and where are those timestamps?
I knew it would be a good idea to wait until the Avata 2 came out before buying.
Go ahead and toss up your rates too bro. :) :) :) :) Appreciate everything you do for the community!
