Really pretty. You know... if you continued the pattern outward you could change the colors every so many rows and have something mandala-ish...could be used to make a pillow for a room accent or a very large square could be used to make the back of the body of a cocoon sweater. Thank you so much for the tutorial...and sparking some ideas. 🤗
@@heathersdiamondpaintingand447 You know, starting from the center with the mandala idea, this could be a great stash buster. 🤔 At the end of the charity crochet season I have lots of partial balls and I think I can use this to work the stash down. 🤗
That's exactly what I'm doing. I'm making a baby blanket by just repeating rows 2,3 and 4. When its big enough, I will finish out the pattern. I absolutely love this!!
I absolutely love this sq. Saw it the other day- copied part of pattern, took a break til next day to complete & next day it was gone. But you were back today & I am very happy. You explain so clearly & quickly. Thank you - can’t wait to get started - Linda
I'm not very keen on crochet but this design/pattern looks wonderful. More interesting than the 'ordinary' granny square. I really must try this one! Thank you, you explain it so clearly.
You really are such a pleasure to watch as you explain it all so well. Thank you. I just have to remember here in UK we call DC a treble etc but even with that, I had no problem following you. 😊
Yes ! 👏🏻👏🏻Sometimes it helps to have the terms on a sheet of paper to quickly refer to. I know that helps me as I use many patterns that are UK terms . 🇬🇧❤️❤️ Thank you so much!
I havent crocheted all year because i did so much work last year. I need some inspiration to spark motivation, and this is it! These are gorgeous, and i ❤ granny squares. Thank you! 😊🎉
Wow this is beautiful! I've never seen a square like this. I appreciate you telling us about the option if the gaps get too wide. I like squares that don't have big holes. I can't get over how beautifully unusual this is. Thank you so much!💜
Hi Roz: This is the most gorgeous square I have ever seen! Not sure if I can follow written directions, so your video is really appreciated. Would love to make something wearable, but haven’t a clue where to start. Look forward to watching you seam them together. Thank you, your teaching is the best. Wish I had a beautiful helper like yours. 💜😎🇺🇸
Hello Roz.... I'm late in watching your video, but better late than never . I can't let the week go by without seeing the boys and hearing your voice . Love ❤❤❤❤❤❤ these squares they are easy to make and very attractive . Have a great day and remainder of the week .
Thank you so much! I’ve learned to with him rather than against him 😆 I really think it’s the warm lights I have on while filming. As soon as I turn them on , he shows up . ❤️
This was a fun pattern. Made one I didn't square off to put my electric kettle on. Then I made one with a third round of cables to put hot pots on. Then I had the idea to do a little something different with the cables so instead of 5 SC, I did SC, HDC, DC, HDC, SC. It looks pretty cool. Thanks for this pattern. 😻
love the texture! I make a lot of baby blankets and am always looking for patterns that will be interesting to little fingers. Definitely adding this to my repertoire. ❤
I absolutely love this. It's so beautiful. There were lots of pulling out stitches, but I just finished my first square, and I can't wait to make a blanket!
I have been looking for a solid square to compliment my Tropical Delight squares by Susan Stevens, the pattern I'm using to make an afghan for my granddaughter. This is PERFECT! It will make finishing it by Christmas much faster. Thank you so much for the square and the great tutorial.
Thanks for sharing. It is absolutely stunning. I had some leftover granny squares and now I'm putting a baby blanket together with some of your squares in between. ❤❤
Beautiful!! I wonder if repeating the "fisherman's ring" over and over until it is blanket size, then adding the "square" round and border would be a good idea. Might look like a giant flower, chrysanthemum ??? I might try that!! Thank you for your good tutorial!!
I did a 3rd round of cables & it started to wave on me so I did 4 DC instead of 5 and then the cable round laid flatter. I would imagine you can keep adding on with a few mods along the way.
Those are so cute, Roz and little helper! You explained everything excellently. I would have to use my trusty stitch markers which keep me on target.🎯 Thank you.
Thank you, I have really enjoyed making this square - I used dk and 3.5mm hook. I think it would also look good using the reverse single crochet on the last round, with it being a fisherman's ring it would have rope look to it.
Nice 😊 I tend to have loose tension and I learned that by crocheting YU (,yarn under) I can tighten up the stitch without out changing the pattern, it's how they get amigurumi so snug.
