    This is a great video. Very easy to follow and understand. However, in squaring off the spiral, if you want to take it to 60 stitches for that round, you need to put 4 stitches in each corner or you only end up with 54 stitches. And it works better to square the corners, with or without a chain space for the corner. Just letting you know what I found after trying thus. I do love the video otherwise.

    Hi friends! This is a big video but the technique itself is simplified and really easy to do so I hope you'll give this a try. I worked 4 rounds for each tutorial but you can make your spirals as big or as small as you like. Same with squaring them off. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments. xx

    I’m a long time crocheter; I also teach. The algorithm chose this video for me. Not too bad. I love spirals! Great for heels in socks, and for using up ends to make dishcloths, cozies for bowls and mason jars. Just remember, if you want to use them in the microwave, they need to be Natural Fiber ends, not acrylic, or poly anything. These will melt.
    Have fun crocheting! ❤

    Hi Roz , so how would you go about joint these spiral squares? What method ? And would you suggest doing the last round where you square it off on one color or would you keep it with the different colors ?

    • @PlayHookywithMe
      @PlayHookywithMe  9 місяців тому +1

      The color choice really depends on your project and what you would like the finished project to look like. Totally your call.
      For joining , you can try an invisible join method , that’s my go-to.
      Here’s a video with a few options, though….

    Thanks for the tutorial! Really helpful, except that I really would have wanted clearer instruction for squaring my 4 colors spiral. All these shortcuts at the end really don't give me enough info to do it and now I'm stuck with my unfinished spiral. I'll have to search for another tutorial.

    Vielen Dank.
    Wenn ich die Spirale viel grosser mache mit vier Farben, ist der Abschluss immer noch gleich? 2Stb, 2 halbe Stb, 2 fm und 1 Kettmasche?
    Oder wird es automatisch mehr?
    Dankeee

      Sie ändert sich abhängig von der Erhöhungsreihennummer, mit der Sie abschließen.
      Beispiel: Ihre letzte Runde besteht aus 6 Stb mit einer Zunahme. Verwenden Sie die Zahl 6 als Leitfaden. 6 hStb und 6 feste Maschen, Kettmasche zum Schließen.
      Ich hoffe, das macht Sinn.
      Darüber spreche ich bei 7:11 im Video 💕
      It will change depending on the increase row number you finish on .
      Example : your final round is 6dc with an increase. Use the number 6 as your guide. 6 hdc and 6 sc , slip stitch to close.
      Hope that makes sense.
      I talk about this at 7:11 in video 💕

    I'm coming from having already made this for a hat and it was both good but complicated to me because it was making the form of the hat not stay flat it was coming in like as if I was making a ball, still currently trying to find my way around it by excluding Inc after the first initial increase (Inc in each, rd2 no Inc, rd 3 1 SC Inc, etc.) I'll come back to report my results

      Thank you! Well I came back now from another trial and error I may have just missed some Inc's in my first trial so I do believe it did stay flat after following through as it would be originally for the rows. Thank you so much for guide overall I'm still amazed by the outcome

    Is there a way to make a spiral in the other direction? I realize I can just turn it over to get a spiral going in the other direction but it just looks crap.

      It could be possible but going about that is beyond my skill set . I wonder if it goes in the other direction if someone is left handed .

    Hi! I’m a little confused about ending the circle… is it always 2 hdc’s, 2 sc, ss, no matter how many rounds you have? I have 3 colors, 25 rounds total. Thanks!

    • @PlayHookywithMe
      @PlayHookywithMe  11 місяців тому +1

      No, you’ll have to play with your stitches to straighten out your sides. Takes some trial and error but you’ll find a sequence on the side that you like. If it were me , I’d count how many stitches I have on the side between corners , then divide those stitches up along that side with different height stitches. So that might look like 2dc, 5 hdc, 5sc, 5hdc, 5dc or whatever.
      👍🏻💕

    • @PlayHookywithMe
      @PlayHookywithMe  11 місяців тому +1

      It’s hard to explain other than you will divide 6 into 12 and start there with your stitch count.so that means you will start that first round with 2 stitches for each color and go from there.
      I’d recommend watching the 4 color to get an idea of the stitch sequence and try to follow that method and apply it to 6.
