    This is a great video. Very easy to follow and understand. However, in squaring off the spiral, if you want to take it to 60 stitches for that round, you need to put 4 stitches in each corner or you only end up with 54 stitches. And it works better to square the corners, with or without a chain space for the corner. Just letting you know what I found after trying thus. I do love the video otherwise.

    I’m a long time crocheter; I also teach. The algorithm chose this video for me. Not too bad. I love spirals! Great for heels in socks, and for using up ends to make dishcloths, cozies for bowls and mason jars. Just remember, if you want to use them in the microwave, they need to be Natural Fiber ends, not acrylic, or poly anything. These will melt.
    Have fun crocheting! ❤

    Hi friends! This is a big video but the technique itself is simplified and really easy to do so I hope you'll give this a try. I worked 4 rounds for each tutorial but you can make your spirals as big or as small as you like. Same with squaring them off. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments. xx

    Great tutorial, thank you! Could you please share what brand of stitch markers these are? I know you said they weren’t great for this project but I’ve been looking for some “bendy but closed” markers like these ones….

      Sure, these are called crochet dude by Boye. There’s a link in the description box below the video. I usually get them at Michaels but you might be able to find them on Amazon 💕

    Love your spiral video. Where did you get the neat stitch markers that can be used one handed? I love the ease of using them. I want to find some. You are very talented and I like the way you teach. thank you!

    This was just the video i needed. If i wanted to use this pattern to make beanies with 4 colors, how would I end it?

    • @PlayHookywithMe
      @PlayHookywithMe  17 днів тому

      Great! I’ve never used this to make a beanie so you’ll have to experiment using the tips you learned in this video for finishing the round. It will depend on your stitch count 🧶❤️

    Hi Roz, thank you so much for this video! It's so well explained. I jumped right into the 2-color spiral and I got it on my 3rd try! I had trouble with my yarn tension but soon as I figured that out it turned out so cool. Do you think this would work with single-crochets instead so it looks more 'tight'?

      So glad it helped - yes , I can’t see why it wouldn’t work with sc’s 👍🏻💕

    Hi Roz , so how would you go about joint these spiral squares? What method ? And would you suggest doing the last round where you square it off on one color or would you keep it with the different colors ?

    • @PlayHookywithMe
      @PlayHookywithMe  Рік тому +1

      The color choice really depends on your project and what you would like the finished project to look like. Totally your call.
      For joining , you can try an invisible join method , that’s my go-to.
      Here’s a video with a few options, though….
