thank you for your video, and it is quite a relief that there are more people out there, loving collecting and flipping through those gorgeous books just for inspiration without using them really, I love doing that too and I will check out your recommendations, all the best from Germany!
Thumbing through books is such a wonderful way to get ideas and more so, for color schemes for projects. It is so relaxing and enjoyable. This type of video is great, Roz. Please keep them coming our way! 💖
I used to live in St.Albans. I hope you enjoyed your recent visit to UK. For me, finding a new crochet book is like a child entering a sweet shop. Your eyes light up, your mouth starts watering and you can't wait to start sampling the goodies!
Oh how wonderful! I was born there (my mum is British) so it was lovely returning . It has easily been 20 years since I’ve been back . I’m excited to be returning back in April for a couple of weeks. 🇬🇧❤️ Great analogy on the sweet shop, completely agree. 🍬 👏🏻🧶
@@PlayHookywithMe This shrinking world of ours!😊 It's clost to 20 years since I last saw St.A too. Have a wonderful time on your return in our best season - Spring. ❤
@@romystumpy1197 How about that! 🤩 I lived there a long time and it's strange but some parts I remember as if it was yesterday and other place names are completely blank. 😊
I purchased the Ultimate Granny Square Source Book since you recommended it in a previous video and it is AMAZING! I've made many of the squares and many more to try. Thanks so much, I'll look up more of your favourite books!!
Hi Roz. Love the information in this video. I can see why you are obsessed! They are wonderful books and they certainly will get those creative juices flowing. I hope you and your family and fur babies have a wonderful holiday week. ❤💕❤
I love all hooks, books and yarns so these 'flip- through's are great. As someone who originally learnt to crochet in UK terms I would say to people don't be put off by a book that's the opposite to the terminology that you are used to the stitches are all just crochet stitches and you will soon get used to flipping from one to the other depending on the pattern. I'm a big fan of Janie Crows work and know that most of her patterns come in both US and UK term. Great video.
Thanks so much! Love the inspiration! Where can we find the pattern for the darling bunny featured on the front image? Keep up the great work, love your videos!❤
I'm very tempted to get the collage book to try. And those granny square books can be deadly as they will just add to my very long list of things I already want to make (oh to have such problems😁). I do appreciate all of your videos as they have been such a help and inspiration. Also love seeing the kitties! Take care!
A lot of great books. I received a couple of weeks ago, Every Way With Granny Crochet by Julia Madill. Awesome book. The Granny Square card deck. I found last week at a opening of a new Barnes and Noble store here in my city. They had one left. I bought it. It's great. Granny Squares are one of my favorite types of crochet too. Happy crocheting😊❤
Hi Roz: I thoroughly enjoyed this video! I watched it twice and played it in slow mo the second time, so I could see everything. I have a hard time following written crochet patterns (always knitted), that’s why I watch your videos. You are always so clear about the pattern. But I would like to try one of the books mentioned that relate to beginners. Thank for sharing. BTW, Tiggy is gorgeous! 💜😎🇺🇸
Hi , Joanne! One day you’re going to find a written pattern that you HAVE to make and that will spark the determination to learn. I only say that because that happened with me with a knitting project 😆 it was brutal but along with some videos tutorials, I was able to get there. But saying that , this is the reason I do videos because there are many of us that struggle with written patterns only. I find it always helps if I can see someone doing “it” . Thank you for being here, Joanne, and I’m so pleased the videos help. 😘
I have the first two books. I have a lot of books in knitting, crocheting, sewing. Always fun to get a new book and it truly inspires me, too. I watch Robin's channel. She's great! Easy to follow instructions and I can always purchase her patterns, too. Love the ginger cat! Currently weaning litter of kittens found before we had a big storm. Talk about chaos!
Oh boy, good luck with your kittens! This happened here a few months ago. An outdoor cat we were feeding had her 6 kittens under our house. Tiggy is one of them ❤️ It has been an experience 😅
@ I hear you! They are eating solid foods more but still share 2 bottles at feeding time. They are more mobile now and with 4 kittens, I'm going in 4 directions to round them up for their nap (and my break).
I watched Robin’s video yesterday and yours just now. That you both mentioned The Granny Square Card Deck *must* be sign! I think I need (ahem 😉) it. It was on the Barnes & Noble website, so I will not-so-subtly drop hints to my husband before Christmas! 😄 Thanks for the great video. 😊
Hello Roz ... I have quite a stash of ctochet books but not as much as you . I'm especially hooked on books that have projects added on . Thanks for sharing and happy Thanksgiving to you, family and the boys .
Thank you , Angela ! I know , it’s a bit of a problem but hey … I’m at the “whatever” stage of life now . 😂 The kittens have been sick this week so it was rough but I’m relieved to say we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel ❤️❤️❤️ Hope the week treats you well 😽
@PlayHookywithMe oh geez Roz . I'm sorry to hear that . Big meows and kisses for them 🐱 . Our Thanksgiving is over and now I'm getting ready for Xmas . See you next Sunday.
I LOVE this review! I’ve been looking for a crochet book and most say they are for beginners. I’m not a beginner, maybe an intermediate? I hope to see more reviews in the future. 😊
Ok, while you flipped through the Crowfoot book, I saw scissors used under the topic of frogging. I am very interested in knowing more about that! In my mind I can see it working for a number of issues, but want help in getting it right. So that book is a must. Thanks for going thru books. I buy many at discount bookstores online which limits my hands-on ability. Keep crocheting!
HI, I really enjoyed the video. Just to let people know that "A Modern Guide to Granny Squares" is called "A Modern GIRLS Guide to Granny Squares" in the UK and uses UK terminology.
Tried needle felting but it came out wonky, and not cute wonky lol. But the other books look great. I’m going for the floral one first and plant to put everything in box frames. Great selection of books!
I have the same obsession! But now I have to ask about the bunny. I expected one of your featured books to show that bunny and pattern however that was not the case.
Unfortunately that is a dupe 💕 If the back of the box doesn’t have writing on it that’s a big clue. Plus it’s quite a bit smaller than the original. They make no mention of the publisher (search press) and the price is extremely low. Here’s a video comparison of the real one next to the fake one. ua-cam.com/video/7SZ2BK1bt1E/v-deo.htmlsi=mbTURhpNofv3YqnE
Hi Roz, fun video! I just ordered the first two books from my library to “test drive” to see if I want to purchase them. I’m very interested in getting that granny square card book. I went on Search Press and it’s on back order. Is that where you ordered it from? I’m always a little worried about back ordering from a company I never heard of before. Have you ordered from them before? Thanks
I ordered mine on Amazon and it will take a couple of weeks to arrive. If you try Amazon , be sure to make sure it has the isbn code I shared in the video. I’ve linked to the one I ordered in the description box . ❤️
You can find the designer on instagram @knittykids but she doesn’t share how to make it. But she does provide resources of other designers that do . It’s not exactly how to make hers but it will get you started 👍🏻💕
je suis désolé, je ne sais pas. je l'espère, mais vous pouvez également utiliser "google lens" sur votre téléphone pour lire. et les graphiques sont universels. ❤️
Hi friends, I hope you enjoyed the video . If you enjoy this one and would like to see more like it, let me know. I’m always buying more 😅😅

I love Craft Books and I love to sit and just enjoy my quiet time, getting away in my head! Who needs gambling? A good book to me means so much!
👏🏻🧶❤️🙌🏻
I definitely enjoy seeing different crochet books. Hope you do more!
Oh, good! 👏🏻❤️😀
Such wonderful books. I like cooking magazines to thumb through. I could definitely get addicted to these crochet books too. ☮️🌎🥰
So true! Another great visual to relax with. I have an Irish cookbook that I always start thumbing through when it starts getting cold. So cozy 🙌🏻
🥰🥰🥰
Thank you! I have often wondered how that stitch was worked.
Thank you!! So helpful- I love crochet books. Excited for the card deck too!! ❤

Modern guide to granny squares is also my favourite. Also "100 colourful ripple stiches for crochet" is my very close 2nd.
Uh oh - I think I need to find that one 😅💕
Like you, I love books. These will make a great addition to my library. Thanks for sharing!

Isn’t it so cute? This is by Knittykids on instagram. Unfortunately she doesn’t sell patterns and only sells finished ones. ❤️
I love the cover of the Crochet Collage Garden so much I put it on a phone stand to display it. 😀
I don’t blame you ! 😍
