Thank you, awesome footage taken, i cant believe how much water is at pellaring flat, our shacks are well n truly inundated with water now. Thank you so much for the updated video footage, we appreciate more (than words can say) your time and effort and editing and uploading it too you tube for us.
You're welcome and thank you! its definitely weird looking at the Murray as in my life time I have never seen this much water flowing down and how wide spread it is. You and that other shack owners are very welcome, I know the damage is done, but I hope the peak is not much higher than it is today. I'll do another fly over in 3 weeks time.
Great footage. This shows the swirling eddies past the Hindmarsh Island Bridge - where the river is moving rapidly around the bend towards the main Barrage, with all gates open. I was out on the water that day in a twin outboard runabout - and the current was like an invisible hand under the hull, twisting and pushing us off course.
Cheers thank you! Oh hopefully you’re in the higher area. I will be doing another fly over in a couple of weeks times for the shack owners, I’ll include the opposite side. Hoping that the water starts receding by then. Thank you for watching
I know it's bad for the locals living along the river but the river has sorely needed it after years of neglect. At least the saving grace is that it's been a relatively slow flood. I lived in the Lockyer Valley in S.E. Qld until midway 2021 for a few years and it was always worrying the water used to rise so quick. 6 months after I left my old house and dear old Laidley town was flooded again. The Murray is such a beautiful place
True, and 100% correct the whole Murray and flood plains was in a much needed top up and flush. Us South Australians are not used to floods, well we have little quick creek floods from time to time but never massive floods like what we see in QLD, NSW or other parts of Aus. Not good for your old town, but I bet you are happy that you are out so you didn't have to deal with that? not sure if I could live in a town that could flood like yours, but here every summer we are in constant threat of large bush fires....I guess they are as bad as each other Thank you for watching Cheers
@@mnj640 Sorry didn't know you were originally from here, the Yorkes is a great area, I have a little shack at Pt Clinton, this crabbing season not so good! Warooka great farming town, well they all are there
Thank you very much! I thought you wrote diving for a second haha it has almost gone for a swim a couple of times! But I’ll take driving😁 Thank you for watching
@@KMadventurers I wasn’t sure if there was a technical term, such as “manoeuvring”, or controlling”. However I like the alliteration of “drone driving” - and thanks to your skills, there’s been no “drone diving”! 🤞🏼 Though is there an amphibious drone on the market? One which can do both air AND underwater filming? 🤔 If the floods worsen, it might come in handy!
Controlling is the correct term, others might correct me and call it flying, but we control the drone to move. But driving / controlling is basically the same. I have seen those drones and yes might be worth the investment if these waters don’t disappear
Great vid as usual. Swanport totally gone now. I'm pretty sure that's every levee from mannum to swanport. Someone should really film along that stretch ;P
Thank you very much 😁 I went to Swanport on Thursday and it basically breached then but it was so windy I could not send the drone up, almost lost it at Murray Bridge. I think your right that every levee has been breached. Problem I have is that so many roads are closed and I don’t like sending the drone more than 2km away to get to a location. But definitely worth trying to do that 😁 Thanks once again

gee i would be pumping as much water onto my lawns if i lived on the waters edge.
Definitely! I would be too
Thousands of kilometres of river front and those people all build their houses so close to each other. Crazy.
It is crazy! But that’s what the council only allocates. Small land parcels in one area
