    l'expression " travail d'arabe" prend toute sa valeur ici ! des murs à moitié finis, des bouts de ferraille qui pointent partout, laissés "en attente" ... d'on ne sait trop quoi et quand !
    Peut etre qu'un de ces gamin s'empale dessus à force d'aller y jouer les "kékés" ?
    UNE SEULE retenue d'eau ......alors que c'était clairement quasi" à sec" au début de la vidéo et que en aval, ça arrache la terre ......
    POURQUOI une seule retenue ?
    Pourquoi ne jamais envisager que ces inondations pourraient se faire de plus en plus rares ? Pourquoi ne pas envisager collectivement d'aménager tout le lit du fleuve afin d'y produite une agriculture vivrière artisanale qui demanderait une grande quantité de main d'oeuvre non exploitée ? ....avec , des murs en béton qui seraient ultra renforcés par un comblement de pierraille puis....de terre jusqu'en haut , afin de constituer des cultures en terrasse en limite du lit du fleuve ......?
    C'est dans quel pays ?

      @@larryf7598 Dominique has described this rather pointless bit of civil engineering very well. A half finished wall holding virtually nothing is a waste of time, effort and money. This is standard for this part of the planet and I have no doubt that the infidel is to blame. For the litter as well. Of course.

    • @PhilJonesIII
      @PhilJonesIII Рік тому +3

      The rate of flow is interrupted and restarts. Come to Europe where we use this technique a lot in the mountains. This method also reduces bank erosion and prevents larger rocks being transported because of the flow reduction in the lake behind the dam. I'm talking car-sized rocks and bigger. It's a technique that works very well.

    It appears to be an incomplete construction. You can see the rebar sticking out of the top, and it's also uneven. Maybe it's not designed to stop all the water, but just enough for irrigation. The valley looks quite fertile or green, so it must not be too dry, at least not all the time. It's a beautiful place.

    • @gregercolano8032
      @gregercolano8032 Рік тому +5

      Yes, might be the dam was mid construction when repeated floods wrecking it before it could be completed. It appears that the area behind it was perhaps intended to be turned into a small reservoir or catch basin. In the OP description he seems to indicate it is a dam being destroyed by flash floods, and based on the bare rebar from high above the waterfall, it's seems clear it was intended to be a much higher dam.

      It's too bad the powers that be in Arizona have put realtor's interests ahead of quality of life for nearly three generations now. The entire metropolitan Phoenix area is one giant hellhole, which has caused many an Arizonan to flee to neighboring states. It was a nice place to live in the 50's and 60's, but much after that the sheer number of square miles of heat absorbing asphalt (which gets hot enough to fry an egg on) releases its stupendous quantity of stored heat after the sun sets, making it ridiculously hot until the wee hours. This in turn causes most people to run their air conditioners full time, which only exacerbates the problem because 1.) air conditioners pump all the heat from buildings outside, and 2.) the general population has come to expect to not have to deal with the climate .
