I would like it if I could change the extra cargo space into a dual shelf space where I could put lesser used items into the hidden space such as a small toolkit, emergency flares, safety equipment and a first aid kit, then use the upper space for regular items.

@@toyotausa Yeah I click that link then select Build and it takes me to two choices, SE or SE nightshade edition, no XSE. I spoke with a dealer in Orlando who said they don't expect any hatchbacks until 2023 anyway. I just bought a used one from Carmax, thanks though.

I had two corolla's, 1981 and 1986. I think you need to bring younger people to corolla, and always keep the manual. Should not have built your sport car with Subaru and BMW. It should have been built on your own in your own factory. The YaRis GR is making heads spin. Hope the GR corolla is amazing, just like it was in 1986. Keep your heritage car to yourself, subaru didnt need another sports car. Show us you can build sport cars on your own like you did the lexus LFA.

I want one for a small family car but the back seat is so small. The matrix back seat was way more spacious. Have you seen anyone trying to put a child seat in the back…? Tight fit.

So not much has changed from the ‘19. I have an XSE with 6spd manual and the larger spoiler which looks so much nicer than the standard one. I absolutely love everything about my car. Nearing my lease end and thinking about buying it if I cant find an identical ‘22 model…
Thank you Toyota for making a manual transmission. I will not buy any vehicle that does not have a manual transmission. I really appreciate your having manual transmissions standard in some vehicles, and I wish you would please make more of them for other models. There are a lot of us out there who really enjoy the manual driving driving experience. Thank you also for allowing us to turn the intelligent manual transmission off, so we can really experience the fun and skill of doing everything on our own. You need to go back to making small compact trucks, like you did in the 90s, with a manual transmission. That's what I'd really like to get, but your current trucks are just plain too big, so I wont buy one.

This is a Matrix built to 7/8 scale. When parked beside a Matrix it is clear to see the roof of this Corolla hatch is about 6 inches lower.

This same model has been available since 2019. It’s just not as popular as the regular Corolla, but I see them at the dealership from time to time.

I own a 2019 corolla hatch but the only differences are the nightshade edition and android auto availability. Which already exist in 2020-2021.
