Bought a ‘21 SE, and it’s been everything I wanted. Manual SE trim, the gearbox is a winner! Also impressed with the dual injection system, for peace of mind and performance. It’s great to be back in a fun car, and a Toyota.

Just bought one 2 weeks ago. My first ever brand new car. I love it Metallic grey with the black top. Even came with crossbars from dealership. It's the SE too. It's a beautiful car that is fun to drive. I've always loved hatchbacks and loved that this is my first car. Everyone who sees it says it looks nice.

I absolutely LOVE the Corolla hatchback!! I just wish it came in a lower trim level without the Smart key system. Cars don't feel like cars without key ignition.

Bravo Toyota! I just purchased a 6-Speed Manual XSE trim. I’m so impressed. It’s fun to drive and the Dynamic Force Engine is a peach.

I just test drove a 2019 Toyota Corolla XSE Hatchback on Friday, bought it on Saturday and picking it up today! I fell in love with the car after rolling through each gear and looking through all the technology and experiencing the comfort the cabin provides! Can’t wait for it!!
Honestly I’m debating between this or a Prius. I can’t really decide as they both offer more of one thing that I value over the other.
Prius: Better fuel economy
Corolla: more space with better interior comfort.
It’s a tough decision. Daily drivers are so hard to decide on.

@Richard Favreau , their target price has already been stated at 30,000 USD. Not totally sure if it will get the AWD.
Jesse GoVols The GR-4 Yaris uses the rear suspension architecture from the current Corolla, it appears it can accommodate the rear driveline... so I’m hopeful that the rear driveline from the GR-4 Yaris will translate into this upcoming Hot Hatch GR ‘Rolla. I think $30k to start, and then around $40k for the full performance AWD version will be VERY competitive! Fingers Crossed 🤞🏼

GR with a moon roof please!
Ehh id like no moon roof but a carbon fiber treatment. Always felt like the moonroof just added weight and complexity that i never used. Had a problem backthen where the rubber seal leaked and found out in the middle of a rainstorm and it sucked 😞

Why no sunroof on the corolla hatch? Was considering one but went back to my trusty Mazda 3 Grand touring with the aero kit because of nicer interior\exterior and sunroof.

Now you stuck with it, might as well keep it. You may want to stay away from hondas. I just got my corolla le for 22k whereas at honda they were offering me civic lx for 33k lol...
i wish the info screen did NOT look like a tablet super-glued to the dash!!...Also wish the LED "J lights" would be the main DRLs w/o the headlight on at the same time!
you can change that on the infotainment. but it's not bright at all.

I can't decide which to get This or Honda civic Hatchback, what would be the benefits of this over the Honda this is also my first car so it's especially hard to decide...?
This is a newer design than the Civic.
I bought the Civic hatch because the Corolla IM was dreadful back in 2018.
Drive both and see what you like. Honda was so far ahead of Toyota it was almost embarrassing but the Corolla was pretty long in the tooth that year.

I just bought a 2019 Toyota Corolla XSE Hatchback and when I went for a test drive in it that’s the first thing I said, “man this would benefit greatly from a sunroof”. I totally agree with you Arthur, but every other aspect makes up for the missed opportunity of a sunroof!

All of these features are nice, but i don't even consider getting this car, since the auto is a CVT. should at least have a DCT for the sport editions.

No. The SE apparently doesn't bring ANY safety feature (Blind Spot, Lane Keep Assist, etc.)...that's TOYOTA for you!

How about adding a moonroof? I don't understand why Toyota refuses to put a moonroof on many of its models. We can get a moonroof on the sedan, so why not on the hatchback? Come on, Toyota! I want a moonroof on my next car, but I prefer hatchbacks to sedans.

I did my part and bought a new 2020 hatchback earlier this year. I bought it without knowing how to drive a manual LOL! I tried in the past to learn to drive stick, but couldn't do it. Took a risk and bought the Corolla hatchback. It was really easy to learn to drive this car. Toyota did a super job making the Corolla easy for beginners. The iMT works amazing, and I never drive without it on.
