this 2.0 168hp corolla engine is only about 2mpg better than the camry 2.5 203hp engine....about 30hp difference for only 2mpg difference.....any explanation toyota? if the corolla has the 2.5 engine i will buy it...and a station wagon would be great too
This new 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback way better looking than Honda Civic design. I cant wait for Toyota making this Corolla AWD in 2 years after they will released the new 2020 Toyota Camry AWD next year in the Spring. Toyota already mention they will make all the car and SUV have AWD in the near future except for Toyota 86 and CHR. Toyota, Thank you for making great vehicle and great design over the years. Toyota all the way.

Jobim G. No they won’t. FWD will remain and it’s gotta be almost impossible to make a inline-6. So FWD and inline-4 will do fine

Soy un freak de toyota pero soy mas amante a su era de oro y creo que ese puesto como admirador de toyota lo se a dejado a tras deberian tomar esa corolla y vender una vercion turbo awd ya que muchas de la competencia fue descontinuada espero un awd deportivo de mi compañia favorita y se que nunca me fallaran

Go MGTOW It IS if you lease & you live at high altitude! And I think Yota could make turbos that last longer and are more reasonable to replace then say Subaru. The big problem with Turbos is people abuse them & shut the engine off while the turbo is still hot, which definitely shortens the lifespan. You’re point is a good one, but they could build one with, & one without, don’t you think that would be fair?
Andrew finley nope. TRD supercharger yes it can be possible. But turbo will harm its reliability. So N/A will do fine

When will Toyota bring the red and black hybrid hatchback seen in Europe to the USA?
He likes the blue. Ok whats up with many manufacturers going with light blue cars? He likes the manual, ok many cars still offer that. He likes the spoiler. That's it? I like the cars front end, but the back end needs to be less slanted and less bulgy. The Spoiler is like the only thing that highlights the car at most. It needs more.
With that being said, the car needs a little more work. I know the car needs a performance version. The performance version can be called the Corolla TRD or Corolla Gazoo Racing. I was thinking it may also be called the Matrix but that would be a little confusing. Anyways, It consists of around 210 HP, 190 lb-ft of of Torque. The engine also has a sports intake and also has the engine cover come with a sportier look.The ride height is about 1 inch lower with sportier suspension settings. A sport exhaust with a valve which is activated in sport mode. Sporty 18 inch wheels and the all braking systems are discs.
This car is also going to need a sportier look. Keep the spoiler, but make it a little different. Maybe a spoiler rods attached to it to adjust spoiler height. Slightly more aggressive bumpers and bumper lips. Slightly more aggressive side skirts and maybe side skirt black vinyl with the sport name on it. The bumper to become a little bit more aggressive, with real exhaust tips and a small diffuser.
Inside the car the seats can come in leather or cloth. The seat, doors, and steering wheel stitching can be in colors like the Blue Flame color or a bright red. The steering wheel may have a sportier flat bottom look with the colored stripe on top. Shift boot with leather or cloth with colored stitching. Dash board to also have colored stitching.
I know that their is a big market for it. This car has a lot of potential for sales. The point is, make a even cooler car, but not to compete with other cars. I'd buy the performance version if there was one. The stock xse is cool but ehh. Only thing highlighted is the spoiler and the manual trans.
