    I just ordered mine today. A little nervous but excited too. Looking forward to learning and riding and hopefully having fun. Great video.

      Thank you! It takes getting used to, but soon enough, you’ll get it. I’m able to cruise around the neighborhood with no problem. Just waiting until it cools down because the pavement here in the Phoenix area is around 160F during the day lol. My ankles burn from the heat haha.

    I'm glad you decided to try out a EUC. I just got my Inmotion V8S last week , i'm having a bladst riding it. I have already put 50 miles on it. I have left it locked to the factory speed setting. It only took me about 15 minutes to stat riding it dnw the sidewalk. i have experiece riding manual pedal unicycles. I found out the learning vurve was much easier on the EUC. Looking foward for your experince on the EUC.

      Congrats on the new V8S! That’s really good progress. I’ve seen videos of people riding manual unicycles and it looks intense haha.
      I really do need to start using it again. I took a break during the summer because of the heat out here (pavement gets to 160F plus) and riding during the day in those temps causes all my devices to overheat. Plus around that time I ate it on an electric skateboard at 28mph so I’ve been avoiding hands free devices 🤣. Now that things are cooling down, I’m going to venture out again.

    Hey! Nice to see new EUC rider. Great choice of transportation!
    I started 2,5 years ago on V8F. Great wheel, very light and nimble. It died after 560km so I hope V8S is better quality :D. Then I bought Begode Tesla T3. It is tiny city rocket (it is the size of V8S :D). I am still using it in the city. 5000km on the clock and no issues.
    For longer, faster and more crazy runs I have Inmotion V12HT. With Inmotion power pads and honeycomb pedals it is just awesome wheel. So far 5600km on the clock and it never let me down :). Highly recomended. The sense of acceleration and speed is very addictive! :D

      Thanks! Excited to embark on this new journey haha. Yah hopefully the V8S holds up in the long term. Plan to hop back on it today after taking a couple days off. Wow 5k kilometers is a lot! Glad to see that Begode Tesla deliver for so long.
      Yah I’ve seen lots of videos of people on the V12HT. Looks like a thrilling ride. Hopefully with more practice I can join the ranks of thrill seekers haha. Right now I’m just trying to move from point A to point B 10 ft away 😅.

      @@tomsgadgetgarage do not worry. It took me 14 days to ride in the city 🤣. Be patient and enjoy the process! After few weeks you will enjoy the thrill!

    Ooooooh! That is so freaking cool! Welcome to the Inmotion Family my dude! 😎👊 im looking forward to seeing your experience on it. Once i get my RS in December i will also be doing the same from finding our how fast you can go on each speed mode to range test in each speed mode, that will give potential buyers an idea of what to expect should they buy the RS which was quite alot lol 😅. Thumbs up!

      Thanks! Yah I tried it out a couple times over the last two days and it definitely takes some getting used to. Feel like a newborn baby Giraffe on this thing lolol.
      Excited for your take on the RS. Such a sweet scooter. You’re basically getting a Lambo in December haha.

    Congratz! V8S = great practical intown city sidewalk EUC for slow riding & walking. Enjoy! =>¿Does the 2023-V8S "matt sides" have color led effect as V8F?? Thnx

    • @tomsgadgetgarage
      @tomsgadgetgarage  11 місяців тому

      Yah it’s definitely a learning curve and leg workout lol. The 2023 version doesn’t have the light effects unfortunately. I realized it after it was delivered. I have the protective case so I wouldn’t be able to see them anyways, but it would have been nice to have.

      Great, Thnx4info! (I won't order V8S-2023/matt now) The Inmotion website states it does; has errors) *Many will love to know your responce. -It's important for me, for safety, since I'm a fit senior &a low speed rider, & the side LED lights saved me by being visible & fm almost being hit by traffic at riteaway crosswalks during night city riding ...many times in the past years. *I also use a short black soft dogleash on mine to help unit fm hard falls & scuffs or getting away fm me into traffic etc, if I trip (It works!) -got 2K miles on my very old & reliable V8, used only for errands & walking. (Enjoy ur V8S-23!)

      That’s a great idea with the dog leash. Will have to try that out myself. Yah after I unboxed it and started using it I thought to myself, wow, those LEDs must be really strong to shine through that matte plastic lol. As it turns out, no LEDs :(

    The main benefit of this new model is that they put in a stronger axle. Many people were having their axles break in the older ones on rougher terrain. I just ordered one since the kids are hogging our V5f.

    • @tomsgadgetgarage
      @tomsgadgetgarage  7 місяців тому

      That’s great to hear! Broken axle while riding sounds like a nightmare. Congrats on the new purchase :). I’m going to take mine for a spin around the neighborhood tomorrow.

    My v8s came in. Never euc’d but have wakeboarding and snowboarding experince.. I would like to say my legsss are soaaaarrrr. Getting on isn’t too bad. I find it kinda similar having one foot out of your snowboard ! But witching the first hour I was zipping up and down the street and sidewalks. It’s tough at lower speeds but once you go. Oh it’s soo much easier. Hope you’re progressing man !! I only have one little ride on mine. But I’m hooked. I was cranking up the wheel speed on the first trip. Such a great freaking thing man !!!

    • @tomsgadgetgarage
      @tomsgadgetgarage  6 місяців тому +1

      Congrats! That’s awesome and fast progress. Definitely my favorite type of electric transport. I try and go out once or twice a week. I need to make it a daily habit. I’m able to go about a mile no problem. Finally got a hang of turns, but at lower speeds. I adjusted the riding angle a bit in the app, and now it’s much more comfortable 😎. Keep up the great work.

    Just got this for my 12 year old daughter. The trick is to never sell it. Once you are hooked, you will just move onto larger and faster ones. But at the end, nothing will be as portable as this.

    • @tomsgadgetgarage
      @tomsgadgetgarage  Рік тому +1

      That’s awesome. I’ve seen videos of kids riding these things, and after trying it out myself over the past few days, I hope to one day be as good as they are when I grow up haha.
      I’ll definitely keep your advice in mind. I love that’s its light and easy to transport. Probably going to hop on it again tomorrow to get more practice in.

      @@tomsgadgetgarage here are a few tips for you. Never give up but do take rests. Get a EUC protector and don't be afraid to drop/smash the EUC. Your first EUC will always get scuffed up, trust me in the general scheme of things, it's the cheapest EUC you'll ever get. Next, it's all about stepping left and right to keep yourself balanced. In the beginning, go in a straight line and don't worry about turning. And get in a club, seek local riders, it's the quickest way to get REALLY good.
      Lastly, get good protection. For beginners, get some cheap elbow, knee, hands, and helmet. You won't be going fast enough to need the expensive stuff.

    • @tomsgadgetgarage
      @tomsgadgetgarage  Рік тому +1

      Thank you so much, I’ll definitely take your advice. I did put a protector on it a few days back. As for safety gear, I have some cheap elbow, knee, and wrist guards from a few years back. Balance is definitely a challenge but will focus on stepping left and right to keep things upright. How long have you been riding?

      @@tomsgadgetgarage about two years. I started on a V10 which I sold after I got my Sherman Max. Selling the V10 was a huge mistake. I wish I still had my V10.

      @@KevinRedmondWA Easy mistake to make considering the price newer EUCs are at but yeah, once you start going above 16-18" tire size it's probably a good idea to keep a zippy wheel for convenience. V10/F is a great wheel too 😁
