  • I won't lie, the assembly and disassembly of the "Type B" bolt assembly is very cumbersome so I don't know why it was not in the manual. They need to get rid of the bolt control bar/rod and redesign a firing pin, also replace the extractor plastic spring because I'm leery the organic material in place of a metal extractor spring will fail.
    Addition: I now know why the disassembly of the X95 18.5" bolt was so cumbersome. It began when soldiers were damaging the recoil buffer so they added a triangular piece above the buffer to prevent the buffer from rising just before the buttplate closes. Unfortunately, that triangular piece made the recoil non removeable which in turn prevented the rod from sliding out easily, making the whole disassembly of the bolt very complicated. See Micro Full Monty near the end of the Video.

    After messing around with the manual and other UA-cam vids for over an hour, I still couldn't get that pin out!! The mallet trick worked like a charm. Who knew that rod had to come out at least an inch & a half??!! Excellent vid, Thanks so much!

    Your right, that is different. The TAR 21 and early X95’s firing pins come out the rear of the carrier if I remember. That’s funny how they don’t mention this in the manual, thanks for the vid!

    Thank you very much for this video. I was having a real hard time following the instructions from the manual which has not been updated and was still referring to the older model Tavor. It was frustrating not to be able to disassemble the carrier group and not knowing what I was doing wrong. I also find it useful to know how to disassemble the sear mechanism, just in case. Very well put together. You helped a great deal of people!

    Thanks for the vid! I couldn’t get that guiding bar out far enough to pull the pin on the bolt, thought I was doing something wrong, and didn’t want to break anything! Gonna try again with your hammer technique.

    Thank you for clarifying Type B bolt carrier. The IWI video must be showing Type A as it is different.

    HELP!
    My X95 has a chronic issue of failure to extract with the spent casings jammed hard in my chamber.
    Once rammed out from the muzzle end, I can see that the lip of the casing is ripped off. This issue happens very often, especially after the gun heats up.
    Has anyone encountered this before?

    • @gnutzguy
      @gnutzguy  Рік тому

      first question, has it always been like this or it was fine then this happened?
      secondly, it happens with different ammo?
      thirdly, with a flashlight check the chamber for burr.

    Hey Gnutzguy I have a question for You on these X-95's, PLEASE. I missed up I guess and I had my X-95 was Cocked and I didn't notice it. It was empty. What I did was open up the butt stock to install a new item I got from Metacore Arms.The weapon was "COCKED" and I DIDN'T check it I opened up the Butt Pad and I noticed the Pressure was extra heavy when I was trying to hold the butt pad. Now I can't get it (the Firing mechizime) back in the butt of the X-95. I'm at a stand still and I've scratched the rest of my hair on my 0l' head....Any help would be really Appreicated. And, here is a Great Big Thank You for any help👍

      Remove the mag first and check thru the ejection port the BHO is not stuck in the up position. Good luck.

    How can I tell if I have a Type A of Type B?

    • @gnutzguy
      @gnutzguy  Рік тому

      depends on how you disassembly yours. the two are completely different. if you follow the manual then its type A . follow my vid then its type B.

    • @rumnboats7612
      @rumnboats7612 7 місяців тому

      Type A has slots at front of recoil spring, making it much easier to remove, type B is enclosed.

      @@gnutzguy You were almost there when you pulled the piston off, I did it last night after calling iwi for further instruction. You can indeed remove and swap the recoil spring.

    • @rumnboats7612
      @rumnboats7612 5 місяців тому

      @@gnutzguy There is alot more that you can strip on the carrier and the last 2 pins you punched never should be removed, nor does the piston need to be separated from its seat.
