tbh this combined with a basic combo guide on some of Pot's higher difficulty combos utilizing BKMF will get pretty much anyone into celestial. this stuff is truly masterclass
@@TheDepressedHollow backwards kara mega fist. it's really difficult to pull off consistently on controller but it is a pretty big part of pot's higher damage combos and corner carry setups.
This guide is nuts, I've spent like the past week just reading/watching potemkin stuff and this summarized like 90% of his offence in under 10 minutes. This bad boy's goin in the bookmarks
I managed to go 3-2 at Evo with Strive being my first real fighting game thanks to you and your amazing guides! I can’t thank you enough for teaching me the ways of the buster.
Between this and Rooflemonger's combo guide (had just the right amount of baby stuff for me) my (perhaps inevitable from the start) transition from yoyos to bustin has been an absolute joy. If you ever feel like continuing the series, how about a "jailbreak guide" or something along those lines? It can be real hard to steal a turn back when you're on the receiving end of pressure as Pot. Ram, in particular is a challenge for me, super popular in Japan, where I play, and when they're not sleeping while they autopilot and actually DO manage their spacing and timings proper... it's rough
Dear god I needed this, my pressure felt like it was starting to weaken since I usually relied on garuda and most times they would jump my second garuda, but thanks to this guide and others you have, I can FINALLY relive my pot pressure
Something I think this guide doesn’t mention, you know how he says you can get a throw/buster in the corner for otg and a super meaty Garuda? It’s meaty enough that a second Garuda catches jump out attempts.
@@Ashragi It may be shortened so UA-cam can suggest this video to other Pot Players. The OTG Garuda Meaty can be backdashed on wake-up, but a kara Garuda can beat that. If they FD Garuda, the strike throw can be fuzzied.
Awesome content, thank you form the bottom of my soul. I was grinding meat just with timing and basic hits, but your guide opened up a whole world of combos and now I stepped up my game in a huge way. Thanks bro.
Mr. Tank, you sir are a tutorial GAWD I often play my matches without a game plan... and sometimes i 2 dum dum brayn to eeven figure out what my game plan is. I just pressing buttons duuuuuurp but this video is a light bulb moment
excellent choice of music my massive handed brother, I've been playing pot all through in game experience and normally reach celestial, but now I can be even nastier. I'm coming for those ino mains lol
I just got the game and I main Potemkin I’ll definitely need some practice to get this down but it’ll be worth it, oh and the meta slug music was a great touch for this kind of video
i started implementing kara garuda in my hard knocks and makes such good pressure. Mixing up what you do between garudas keeps them guessing has made potemkin such a strong character against every opponent. Now to find a defensive solution against GL in the corner...
Theses are cool if you actual get to use them ..I’m waiting for the strategy guide to beating high level jacko and Bridget with pot ..Pot just sitting in the corner holding block out here smh ..
3:56-4:13 Wouldn’t they be able to burst out (as soon as invul ends)to avoid the throw? How would pot outplay that? If they used it already, then they would definitely be screwed…
If you've used it once before you could probably try to bait it out the next time, if they burst then great but if they dont at worst you'll reset to neutral at best you could continue the pressure (I am not great at pot but I think this is how it would play out)
Ever since they removed Pot's wake up on the shield it felt like I'm being bullied. Turns out that I was just playing the game wrong. Also I can't do BKMF for shit on keyboard so that's probably why my combos never reach anywhere near that damage. The extra bounce on BKMF is invaluable but I can never pull it off.
Excellent guide I just keep coming back to whenever I feel like I'm missing something in pressure! One question though I'm not sure you answer: what are the best option(s) after opponent blocks GI near the edge of its range? If you're not close enough to threaten kara-buster and you can't/don't want to spend meter, what can you do to take advantage? is it just a high/low mixup with 2D/6H or similar?
I love learning potemkin tech, but my in-match play is so sloppy. I cant use karas really at all yet, and even charging hammerfall all the time feels foreign. Any advice for a player really struggling with the technical side of potemkin?
Make sure you have a really comfortable control scheme just generally speaking. Also with anything technical you want to focus on small steps towards a goal. Maybe pick one tech to tunnel vision against a human opponent until you can do it without thinking hard.
Think of everything with a 2 in it (2P,2K,2S, etc) as a 1. Charging hammerfall is crucial so working that charge into your other attacks as a habit will help greatly. Comfortable control scheme is also very important (as mentioned above). Hammerfall break should be easy to perform and intuitive for your hand. Kara specials can be tricky, so pick one or two and really work on getting the button timing down. The inputs for the rest can come after that. Breaking this all down into parts will make it easier. Once you can do them consistently alone, work them into some strings in training mode.
Imma be honest, on controller I cannot do a Kara Cancel to save my life, but, implementing those tips might offset that. Time to go and lab this directly in the tower
hey frank, i have a question. ik that hpb > prc can be used as a reversal, but will testing it out in training tool it always seems to counterhit if the opponent hits meaty. this doesnt seem to happen on regular hpb though. do you know why this is? am i doing something wrong or can i just got prc that in a meaty?
I noticed you didn't mention MF in the blockstring ender section. Do you think it's not that great of an ender? I've found that unless they have access to a reversal, it typically is safe due to the spacing after the blockstring, and it also threatens the RC j.p mix.
The fact that it's unsafe on block and negative on hit means it's a pretty terrible ender. Your reward for hitting it is almost as bad as your reward for getting it blocked.
tbh this combined with a basic combo guide on some of Pot's higher difficulty combos utilizing BKMF will get pretty much anyone into celestial. this stuff is truly masterclass

How has nobody mentioned the choice in music? These tracks are serious bangers, and fit the video content very very well

If you're at tip range you can attempt to catch them with 2D or Kara Garuda, but tip range isn't a great spot for Pot
Ah well, good to know I'm not leaving some big damage on the table. Thanks for the answer!
I even wonder if Potemkin can beat Ryn's Order-Sol mod in the future in GGST+ when she's done releasing him?

HPB has invuln, however, you remove that invuln with PRC, so you're PRC'ing too early
@@Frankentank that would make sense, ill try it out next time. thanks for the tips i apprecoate it
