Despite some people considering pot to be bottom 1 currently, he still feels really fun to play! As someone who's at the baby levels of celestial, its obvious he's got some weaknesses, but I rarely feel like any match is unwinnable.
I have actually left the game until the next balance patch because I really don't like how pot plays. I kind of prefer him season 1. I'm just here because I still love him. It's just not guilty gear without him
You can have fun no matter how terrible a character might be. OG goldlewis was... something, but character was so fun I've managed to stick through. Pot may have some issues, but a lot of the time I see pot players enjoying themselves and thats what counts.
Great guide on one of Potemkin's most awkward moves in his kit that only seemed to have been designed for kara-cancelling lol I was wondering, with your video on Xrd Potemkin, will you do a video on the state of Strive Potemkin? I find it interesting how the general opinion on him has worsened in just a year, especially with season 2. It'd be interesting to watch a more in-depth analysis on his current status, what he's good at and where he'd need to improve. Keep up the great work!
No, because A. It's only been like a month since the patch hit B. I don't really think Pot is that bad, so I'd just have all the doomers whining at me in the comments
I'm gonna say it. These are the one of the types of fighting game videos I enjoy the most. Your videos on pot, the whole faust guide playbook, the anji changes breakdown. Videos that rather than dooming about a bad situation, tell you how to play rps and use what you have. How to hedge your bets against your opponent. I think these types of videos are incredibly valuable for characters who need buffs, because learning how to use a tool when it's bad means you understand how to use it when it's good. The faust buffs are good on there own, but people finding uses for crow before it became safer and setups after snip mean that things like afro gaurd crush is HUGE. Its a shame I don't see these in depth videos on stronger characters since they have obvious solutions that inhibit the spread of development and understanding. For example, imagine if they buff another tool of potemkin's. Maybe they give more speed to a move so he has proper conversions on hit with 6k. This development in this video makes that option even stronger!
Ngl, I dropped off of strive kinda hard, but your videos are always fun to watch and give great advice for those who play instead of being a doomposter about it
Something worth noting: pay attention to the spacing after 6k as it heavily affects how strong garuda is as a follow up on block. A lot of 6ps will beat garuda if youre too close, but if they fd the 6k garuda will actually counterhit the 6p. If they recognize this and intentionally dont fd the 6k, you can buster the 5p attempt.
I wish you went over how good the move is besides in pressure. Its really good in when used as a movement tool in netural. At 18 frames of recovery vs hammerfall break's 27 frames, it can be a safer tool to use to get in. When used in netural, its way more likely you'll get a CH which leads to a slidehead KD at all ranges. Most of the time, your opponent will block it when 6k is really spaced out making garuda and slidehead safer tools to punish mashing.
Hello Frankentank,I'm a huge fan of your channel. Can I ask for your permission to reupload (repost) your videos to a Chinese video platform called Bilibili? Since UA-cam is banned in China, it is quite hard for people to watch UA-cam (using VPN), not to mention that a lot of Chinese people cannot speak fluent English. There are tons of anime fans in China, and I'm certain that many people will like your videos. I will add CN subtitles, and make sure to ALWAYS include your channel's name, video link, and credit you as the original author in the video description. Anyway, I'm looking forward to your new videos and have a good day!Thank you
It definitely still does. It probably wasn't mentioned because 6k -> flick on block has consistent answers (4 frames, 6p, or jumping), and 6k is not very likely to counterhit in the first place (it doesn't frame trap when canceled from most normals, and is just a terrible button to throw out in neutral). The main conclusion I drew from this video is that 6k on block leads to an RPS situation in which jumping is usually safe, unless the Pot is willing to make a callout and do nothing on a -6 button or has meter. Outside of Giganter, there is no "safe" cancel out of 6k.
I mean it's still really good on block so it's hard to see this not working. It's expensive, but unless they reversal specifically with a super that goes straight into animation, I don't see the punish.
Oh no, the super that leads to massive damage on hit and blows up mashing, jumping, and backdashing was blocked. I only get to continue my pressure and threaten a garuda mix. What a... tragedy?
@@Frankentank I mean you can just gigantor off of anything that isn't airborne anyway now and it's not like Pot couldn't just RC before. Not really all that impressive when it's just a continuation of what was happening before.

He has some weaknesses, but he can be made very strong by good game sense and execution. Great Pots players cause alot of upsets

Pot is only considered bad because everyone around him is better, so it makes him LOOK bad, but he really ain't

Wait does the CH 6K os not exist anymore or did you not talk about it? (os where you get garuda on CH and flick on normal hit or block )
