Hi does it work on deep scratches on a Nitendo Lite LCD as there is 2 small deep scratches as i accidentally drop from a bench but it is still working fine and the shop that i got the warranty from said it is not covered and rather replace the whole screen including the digitalizer
Just apply Colgate toothpaste paste on the scratches portion and wait for 5 minutes and clean the surface with cotton cloth... All scratches will disappear.... I have tried for my samsung LED TV...
What a legend! Dude shows live scratching so that we can compare it to our scratch, gives a little motivational speech in between and shows the full result instead of saying that's it and stopping the video.
I’ve tried the Vaseline and it hasn’t worked, what worked was your motivational speech about not getting mad which did help! I was so mad and upset but hearing you helped! I’ll try your other methods 👍
my grandmother use to say, "this too shall pass". Its not the bad things that happen to us in life, it's how we respond that makes the world. Forgiving is giving.
Not gonna lie, I was absolutely fuming before I watched this video. I just got a brand new tv and in 3 days my daughter has managed to throw something at it and put a nasty scratch in it. The Vaseline hasn't made any difference what so ever, but your words have really helped me see what really matters. So thank you for that 🙏🏻
Worked well with my Vizio D43-D2 LED TV I got on FB Marketplace (seller didn't tell me about the scratches), the screen was scratched so bad it looked like a bobcat got after it and went to town scratching the heck out of it. 😅 It looks way way better after the petroleum jelly (I even let it sit on the scratches overnight). Be sure to just gently wipe off the jelly with a dry microfiber cloth, not isopropyl alcohol/water. But it depends on what type of screen and what type of scratches you have, so try several things, but don't spend too much money on it...the scratches will always be there, the goal is just to make them less visible.
Thanks a heap..My toddler just scratched my screen ( our owners screen basically) and that got me like GODDD ,NOW WE WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR IT and i just found your video.Im glad,so glad and thankful you made this video and saved us 😊 May God bless you !
Holy crap man, even after the video and comments I was still skeptical, but I went ahead and tried it on this screen I purchased from goodwill which was evidently scratched by someone handling it there after the fact. Well sure enough, like many say, didn't completely remove scratches but made them virtually invisible when the screen is on. I've barely scrubbed any in and already made a huge difference. Seems like it might even help the general clarity and glare of the screen too. So I may just treat the entire screen lol. Thanks a bunch!
I love this, my baby accidentally scratched the tv and I felt so bad like it was my fault for not having seen when it happened :( thanks for teaching us how to fix it!
FYI, vaseline doesn't actually remove the scratch, it just hides it. The scratch will come back if you clean the vaseline off thoroughly. It's still better than replacing the entire TV or LCD.
Do you have to use isopropyl alcohol after to wipe it off? (I used 99.7% and water mixed together) I did that and it looked not much different compared to after me wiping off the jelly which looked better
bro I love you I hit a mosquito i the middle of the night right on my tv with a bundle of paper and it scratched the surface... no trace of it anymore, although I didn't have the stuuf you used so just used lip balm and microfibre. idk why it sounded right but it worked so I won't question it lmao
I have a 70” LG 4K tv and I just nicked a small spot in it with and HDMI cable today. Is this something that might work? I’ve heard it’s possible that anything liquid might wick under the surface.
Vaseline is just a brand name we use Vaseline in the states too. But Vaseline is quite literally just petroleum jelly, check the ingredients on your tub of Vaseline ;). Just like Q-Tips are the name brand for cotton swabs.
Worked well for me I have a monitor that came with a few small scratches I could see them even when the monitor is on and I can't notice them at all now! I used distilled water I'd be wouldn't use alcohol on a monitor personally I'd be afraid it would damage the coating
I was so upset when i scratched my literally brand new monitor. I was facing the moral dilemma of having to return it or not. You helped me avoid that. I am truly thankful
Sorry to say this but I tried using this jelly thing you used and it was a waste, no matter when I try to clean my stratches from my HP PL5072N plasma TV from March 2007 that I got from May 2022 from Fremont that I found from Craigslist, the stratches still remained, can you please tell me why? Thank you.
Just apply Colgate toothpaste paste on the scratches portion and wait for 5 minutes and clean the surface with cotton cloth... All scratches will disappear.... I have tried for my samsung LED TV...
That scissors on the screen killed me inside. I cringed so hard 😂😂😂 like nails on a chalkboard. Good to see it came out. Bought a monitor with a small scratch on it and going to try this!
I have many hairline scratches on my Oled TV that won't appear in daylight but with artificial light, would this method work or it's only for deep scratches?
Bro, who are you kidding? all you did was remove the access debris from the scratch you created. But gotta give it to you, you almost got me convinced. I still can see the scratch after the application you applied at a certain angle. I'll give you an E for effort though.
It will because what you are doing in this method is filling the scratch groove with jelly. If you use wet cloth or spray something onto the screen and wipe, the wet substance may remove the jelly from the groove.
Sadly i wouldn't be surprised if my scratch is the result after you did what you did, obviously you used scissors, i got mad and used the bottom of my tv remote which didn't dig too deep but the cratch is alot more wider due to it not being a fine blade but the remote foot.
Didn't work, tried everything and my scratches are less severe than the ones showcased in the video. Don't waste your time, just come to grips with what you did.
Thanks big bro.. My dicc head mind made me look into laptop screen with mobile flash and made me look into so tiny scratches that I had headache focusing on then.. But still not ready to move on... Your motivational speech helped it😊
Does not...i repeat... does not work. I didn't even have scratches nearly as bad in my screen as this, and it didn’t even come close to taking them out. So apparently, unless you drag some keys across your oled, don't attempt this. Waste of time....

yeah, same here, the Vaseline didn't help my scratch either, mine wasn't that deep either.
Dont use water dummy
Just wipe it

The scratch is still there bro, go on 3:56 and turn down the speed to 0.25 and you will see
This worked out amazing just like filling a cracked windshield
I tried both methods and it definitely didn’t work unfortunately
Thank you.
Can the 75% alcohol wipes work? That I have?
The way my body shook when you scratch the TV my Lord 😮😮😮

I tried your petroleum jelly idea it didn't work, any other ideas? If UA-cam let me upload a pic I would.
Thank you, pal. You really helped me out.
Thank you!!!
Why not use liquid screen protector? Or you could try some clear coat. I bet both would work really well.
Will this work on an oled screen please
yes
@HelpingHermit thanks iv purchased a 77 inch panasonic oled mz2000 so im going to give it a try as it had 2 screen scrathes during transit
This is awesome sauce!!!
Not only showed me how easily to fix it (I thought there was no way) but also helped me calm down and not kill my kids 😂
awesome
This absolutely 100% does not work on any tv. Just Tried it. All the stratches are still there💀
The anecdotes in the comment section, like / dislike ratio tell a different story
It looks great with the tv off, but what about when it’s on?
Think this would work on a car gps screen?
Wow😮, thanks for sharing this
Great speech too
thanks
I did it some remove some didn't but alittle better than before
Not sure why its working for anyone else as soon as you wipe it with the solution it removes the petroleum jelly, regardless of how soft I go
doesn't work at all on my G3 Oled
Amazing mate. Many many Thanks for sharing and taking time away from your day. If I could donate I would.. God bless.
Petroleum jelly worked a treat. Deep scratch is practically gone. Now I wount be done for murdering my kids 😂😂

buy a new tv

Plasma tvs have an actual glass screen to contain the plasma, thus why they are so heavy. You need to search for repairing scratches in glass.
