I would love colors by similarities/color families (blurples, dusty pinks). It's always easier to see what a color looks like next to other similar colors 'cuz I've been burned by too many people online who compare one ink to another only to find that in person, they weren't similar at all!
Yes to Colorverse Inkvent. Love all the blues and love, love, love Robert Oster Wind, gonna have’ta get that one! Yes to all suggestions of ink swatches!! NEVER EVER ENOUGH INK SWATCHING from you! LOL Great job! Beautiful choices on blues.
beeoootiful I own Celedon Cat, Abalone - & Wind & Lakbay are near the top of my wish list. I just added Forgetmenot as well 💙💙 I love all of your inky videos - I enjoy the colour groups & would enjoy the more selective options (green/yellows & dusty pinks especially!) I often swatch my inks in brand groups but I think I prefer the instant comparison of what to get from your colour choices x
I have Celadon Cat and Storied Blue, two of my favorite. Did I immediately go make and ink up the Salted Seabreeze... yes I did. Wind is a stunning blue and the shading on Abalone. Just beautiful. I haven't had any issues with my Vinta ink bottles. My inks are in a drawer and I haven't had them but maybe six months or so.
Voting for 1! I think the “minor” color families have some of the coolest inks. Love how different all these blues are from the season 1 sets! That “Golden Lapis” and Robert Oster’s “Wind” are gorgeous
I’ve got vintage ink’s Seak Kelp inked at the moment, it was a beautiful muted mid green but I used it today and it has turned really dark. It’s been in the pen for about 3 weeks 🤷♀️ I bought a full bottle of it because I loved the original colour so much so will have to make sure I keep the bottle screwed tightly and in the box 🤞
i’d love a specific color family comparison. i realized that i have many in the same color family and it’s helpful to maybe eliminate some of the “duplicates”. battle of the brands in a specific color family maybe? which is best? sd
Eek love that Robert Oster wind.. must get it now haha. I want to get the Colorverse Invent so bad. I like the idea of doing things like dusty pink over brand specific ink swatches!
Wow, what lovely colors! The shading ones are so fascinating Can’t wait to see your next swatching session. I’d love to see color families vs brand, but I’m sure whatever you decide to do, I’ll love! ❤️
This series is great! Also, I like ‘boring’ blues.. 😁 I just love blue inks.. especially medium, bright and blue blacks. The Kaweko blurpleness! Love it. So many gorgeous colors here.
Love these ink explorations! It makes me curious to see some that compare inks that are very similar do confirm/deny lol. Like those blue-greens that shade to beige/pink! Would add BPC antique sepia and maybe Van Diemans lost love letters to the mix. This also makes me want to see all the bright blues with red sheen compared to each other, since it seems to be such a recurring combination! But I guess most people try to collect inks that are different to each other rather than a bunch of inks that are all the same 😂 very understandable
This has convinced me to stop dragging my feet on buying Celadon Cat. What a beautiful grey-green blue! I put Storied Blue in my Pilot Falcon and was surprised at how dry it was, so I’m glad you mentioned that. Papier Plume Forget-Me-Not reminds me a lot of Pilot’s Ajisai, which is one of my favorite inks. I’ve never tried any Papier Plume inks, so I’ll need to investigate. 👀 I put Danuvius in my Benu Talisman with a broad nib and it was *delightful*. Thanks for reminding me to put a full bottle on my wishlist, lol. I wish more than anything that Vinta’s Lakbay were better behaved. Visually, it’s one of my favorite inks ever. Vinta’s shimmer never seems to stick in place and they often clog in my experience. Love all the chromashaders in this video! I love your swatch videos, they’re so relaxing and aesthetically pleasing. The comparisons are super helpful.
I love Lakbay! It is like FWP’s Unfettered Flight but the shimmer taken up to a TEN. I will say that I am hesitant to put it in a pen that I don’t want to ruin because I noticed the shimmer particles are SO fine that they literally float on the surface tension of the ink in the bottle instead of swirling in or completely sinking. Never seen anything like it except in the other Vinta shimmer inks I have: Isabela and Elusive Blue. I am a little disappointed that the shimmer moves on the page after the ink is dry more so than other inks as well. My dip pen tests on TRSanzen paper became a smudged mess with just the slight rubbing of the pages on each other. So.. I haven’t inked it up in a pen yet. 😅 Wearingeul’s Dorothy almost looks like Robert Oster’s Sydney Lavender which is definitely one of my personal favorite inks. I just LOVE duochromatic shading, so I guess it’s no surprise that I literally gasped when I saw R.O’s Wind. I might have to get that too! I would totally love to see Colorverse’s inkvent (or whatever they’re calling their’s) unboxed! I was going to get the Diamine inkvent but now I don’t know what to choose. I think it comes down to the theme of the Diamine inkvent this year (like how we had one that was mostly duochrome shade and one that had scented inks). I think I will have to pass if it is themed “starbright” or whatever the extreme shimmer ink in last box was called. I have too many thoughts, haha! Last thing. I would love to see you swatch all the truly WEIRD and divisive inks that you have in your collection. The muddy ones, kind of ugly ones, super crazy ones… I just got in an ink sample haul from Vanness where that is basically all I picked up! I have a couple in my collection that I find just strange and beautiful: Van Dieman’s Kitten Paws, Taccia Sabimidori, Sailor Yurameku line series 2 (I have Date Gokoro), Diamine Weeping Willow, troublemaker Kelp Tea, etc. My weirdest one is Wearingeul White Rabbit that I immediately ordered a full bottle of because I think it is SO ugly but SO cool! In writing it is pretty but in big swatches it looks like rotting meat. Your swatching videos are my favorite to watch. 😊 Thank you for sharing them!
So many wonderful things in this comment ❤️️ Its good to know about the fine particles of the shimmer in Vinta, I'll pay attention to that! I am not sure what variety of inks Diamine will have, but I hope it is a mix like last year. The Starbright is a bit glittery, but it is fun to play with! Swatching all the "Weird" inks might be tough haha. Some may call the ones you listed not very weird haha. BUT I do want to do some full pages of super shaders, super sheeners, etc. 😊
I had never heard or seen anything about Vinta Lakbay before and I instantly ordered it based off this swatch video. I can honestly say that if this was the only ink I could use for the rest of my life I’d be happy. (Assuming it was on good paper 😊) Considering I have well over 200+ ink samples, this is high praise indeed! Thanks for the video and the introduction to this color!
I thought I posted a comment, but I guess not. I originally wanted videos with color families as I like watching to get ideas for samples in a particular color. but I am coming back tonight to watch your Iroshizuku inks video, and I realized grouping by brands also is so helpful. I guess what it is a super popular brand, it works. Thanks!
Vinta does have evaporation issue. My Vinta inks are in a cabinet, inside their boxes and they still evaporated. It is hotter here in the Philippines. There are some talks of them changing their bottles. Their special ink from the anniv of our local pen community is in a different bottle. I do love their colors though. You should try Armada.
I purchased a pack of 3 Vinta Inks from Chicago Pen Show. Swatched them when I got home, less than three months later and they are almost empty in the jars 😢
Great vid really appreciate the ink swabs. Im looking for a work appropriate blue ink and ive narrowed down to kon peki from pilot and konagi from sailor manyo line which one of the two would you suggest, or do you have any other suggestion ?
I would love to see the colorverse invent calendar as well, if you decided to get one! I don’t have much (any) experience with colorverse inks, but quite a few have intrigued me! They seem to have gorgeous colours!
Adding now that I’m at the end of the video, that I’d vote for minor colour families! Alright, your pilot iroshizuku ink brand comparison is the one I consistently come reference. Basically, I’ll be happy with whichever one you do next!
Thank you Alison!! I'll likely do an updated Iroshizuku video with the new colors once they come out. I'm really sad with the colors they are discontinuing :(
@@mydandeliondiaries I know 😫 and while I’m excited about the red-black and maybe the yellow (ok, and maybe the blue despite them having so many to choose from 😂), I wish they had added a medium brown.
I don't have a video using those papers. I don't "love" the paper so I don't use it often. You can check out Kristen Life's Designs though!! She compares inks on several types of papers :)
Wow your Colorverse Rainy Day looks so different than mine; mine is much more green. I love the brand though and already preordered their advent calendar. I keep meaning to make swatching videos (I have so, so many inks), and thought this might be the impetus to get me going but we'll see. 😂
I would love to see brand inks - especially for the more 'boutique' brands. I'm personally interested in Vinta Inks, but not too many creators have showcased the entire line. Their inks have interesting properties.
Heheh yes, red and pink are the only two left! ❤️️ I'll probably do more niche color families as that seems to be the more popular vote, but I'll sprinkle in some brands too!
I would love colors by similarities/color families (blurples, dusty pinks). It's always easier to see what a color looks like next to other similar colors 'cuz I've been burned by too many people online who compare one ink to another only to find that in person, they weren't similar at all!

I would love to see the Colorverse Inkvent 😊
😊❤️
Yes, me too! 😁❤️
I think you have the title wrong. It says “brown” not blue.
I thought I was colour blind for a second as I was like these are not brown 😂
Thank you!! I have fixed it 🥰
Yes Colorverse inkvet x 10000 😂🎉
Hehhehe noted 🥰
this is my comfort series and i really, really needed this video today. thank you
I'm so glad you enjoy them. Wishing you a better tomorrow ❤️️💝
Love the swatching videos!
Thanks so much Danielle!

Thank you Lisa!! Hope you're having a wonder week too :)
Paused video to say a blurple ink comparison would be so interesting!
🎉yes🎉
You do the best Inkvent videos. Do both please!
I like the color family comparison. It helps me decide what I want to sample and possibly get more of in the end. So, I vote 1
Thank you for voting! ❤️️
I prefer 1> color families, I enjoy seeing comparisons between the brands! And I'm interested in seeing you review the colorverse calendar!!
Noted! Thank you for voting 💝
Oooo I love the muted colors idea!
Yes to Colorverse Inkvent.
Love all the blues and love, love, love Robert Oster Wind, gonna have’ta get that one!
Yes to all suggestions of ink swatches!! NEVER EVER ENOUGH INK SWATCHING from you! LOL

Thank you!! The Wind is so so beautiful.

Vote number 1, but I'd love to see more brand based videos too. Also you can do an ink swatch based on "mood"... 👀
Thank you for voting!! Interesting thoughts on a "mood" inky spread 😉
i’d love a specific color family comparison. i realized that i have many in the same color family and it’s helpful to maybe eliminate some of the “duplicates”. battle of the brands in a specific color family maybe? which is best? sd
I love calling it "battle of the brands" hahah. It is so true when it comes to colors that are almost identical.
Eek love that Robert Oster wind.. must get it now haha. I want to get the Colorverse Invent so bad. I like the idea of doing things like dusty pink over brand specific ink swatches!

*sigh* adds a bunch of ink to wishlist….
💖💖 Happy to be your constant ink-abler 😉
Oh, I know how you feel! 😁❤️
