Helen!! Seeing you was highlight for me, even if it was just for a moment! Thank you for inspiring so many of us in this community! It was so much fun to have friends from the pen community together with the stationery community! I hope we cross paths again! xoxo
New to your channel, like right now lol. I’m also new to fountain pens & Hobonichi stationary. And I gotta say, I really enjoyed this video, I’m definitely going to go through your channel and watch More!!! I love the delivery of all the different topics you introduced in this video. I never lost interest or felt bored, actually I rewind it a few times to take notes lol Please keep posting, l learned a lot from your content 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for coming to Stationery Fest Lori!!! I'm so glad we were able to see each other there :) Love that story about how JJ refused to grind your nib because it was just too perfect hahah
Daisy thank you so much for spending some time with me at Stationery Fest. It was such a special event. I just watched your recap video with Neil and it made me tear up! And, yes how awesome that JJ did NOT want to mess with the perfection of that HOME pen!! Big hugs to you and your entire team!! I hope you all got some well deserved rest!!
I feel like we have similar habits at shows. I like to just look at everything, take in everything, speak to some friendly people, see what all is happening, settle in a little bit.. I buy things here & there while doing that but I buy more after initial rounds when I'm more immersed & comfortable.
Since I can't make it to most of these shows, your videos are almost as if I'm there. I loved this old building. It was such a wonderful venue! Thank you, Lori!
Love the deep dive on tuning. I had my first ever session with a nibmeister at Stationery Fest. Gena / Custom Nib Studio tuned one pen and did a grind on another. What a huge difference their work made to those pens, which I adored but which needed the care of a specialist. Now I am SOLD on tuning and grinds. Make the pens you already have better. One doesn't always have to buy buy buy to chase a better writing experience. (PS It was a treat to see you and other penfluencers irl and in action!)
Hey Lori, it was such a pleasure meeting you on Wednesday! As someone who did workshops and meets up I HIGHLY suggest signing up for those for the next stationery fest
This event looked so fun! Thanks for sharing a great recap! I give vloggers kudos to be able to talk into their cameras in public. I so wish I could do it, but I can't 😅 some channels are saying Yoseka oversold the event but I imagine it was hard to balance making it comfortable for the consumer while making it monetarily worthwhile for the vendors including the international vendors. I honestly feel badly for Helen. She looked overwhelmed and drained😢
I also got the Hachimonjiya “Kubosakura” at Stationery Fest and i decided to ink it with the Sailor Yurameku “Kitsune Biyori” is a beautiful pink brown and it goes so well. I highly recommend it. Very legible color and yet super delicate.
Ooo happy to find a pen person somewhat local to me ! I feel like my regrets when it comes to conventions is always the same, I always forget to sign up for workshops and panels
I loved this video and your haul was spectacular! I appreciate your coverage of Stationery Fest, I think you did a very wonderful job of conveying what the show was all about, and your thoughtful suggestions to Yoseka for next year make sense! I really hope they continue on with it!
There is always something to learn from your videos!! I always do. As a Stationery and Fountain pen lover, I would have liked to go to this show. I was happy to watch your recap, it looked great. I will be going to the San Francisco Pen Show and I have signed up for 3 classes which I was second-guessing till I saw your regret. I am planning to sign up for the pen grinds in the SF show and one of the things I learned from your video was to try out the nibs enough to know it is good. Thanks. I will keep it in mind.
I commend you on such a wonderful experience. I want to comment on your Mont Blanc Noblesse, I also have, bought in England around 1982, still works perfectly but the original converter packed up earlier this year, so I am now left with using only cartridges. I've tried different international converters but would not work so I am about to order a Mont Blanc converter just $10. The pen is an absolute gem. 40years old and still writes flawlessly and never dries up.
Hi Lori, sounds like you had a great time meeting everyone and hunting down things from your wishlist 🎉 You were perfectly organized and got what you wanted- especially that Sailor beauty! Such a gorgeous color!! 💖 looking forward to see it in action ☺️ Thanks for walking around and filming! Like many others I won’t be able to visit in person and it’s nice that you took us around. Your last question: Sailor 🖊️ 😁
Lori, I can't thank you enough for picking up that Visconti Iris... I wasn't sure, if this would be my dream/grail pen. After seeing you twirl it around, I'm pretty sure it is! Great vlog. Ok, back to saving for that pen now. 😍
Thank you for a wonderful walk around the exhibition! It seemed that I was walking with you and admiring this beauty. I love your videos. You have a gorgeous manicure!
Stationery Fest was such a feel good event! My friend and I got there at 9am on the first day and totally bonded with the other people in line around us while we waited to get in. That actually ended up being one of my highlights, along with getting a couple grinds by CY and picking out a magical pen from Jonathan Brooks. He and CY were both so nice! Will definitely go for multiple days next time.
Thanks Lori! I am living vicariously through your video as to what and who is out there because I live in Australia but…I would like to plan for the fest in the future, who knows! I was happy to see Helen featured 😊 also I would have loved to meet Jonathan Brooks! I think I’d blow my budge big time lol 😂. I am so glad to see that you were able to grind down the shape of the heart nib as I have one in F as well, and it’s just too fine. There’s hope for it, as it’s such a gorgeous pen. Thanks again , love the Sailor you got too
always a pleasure! I personally don't like my Leuchtturm 1917, 80gms. which I got in dots and same color cover, because you can see everything you write on the other side of the page! I prefer Rhodia or Clairefontaine. I believe they offer Leuchtturm with heavier paper, but haven't tried it yet.
Hello, thanks for filming and sharing your pen joy with everyone. It was great seeing other stationary/pen peoples ‘in the wild’ so to speak I would love to see your Sailor collection. I’m a Pilot girlie but Sailor is a pretty close le second.
Lori I hope you realise how lucky you are to be able to go to this stationary show, and get all these nice things. If only it was nearer to were I live.i just love pens and stationary.Enjoy all your goodness.🌺🌺✒️🖋️
Hello, I just found you after watching Helen's Haul video (yours was listed in the right suggestions column), I am in Kentucky and just wondered where I would find out about these stationary events? I usually hear about them on youtube after the fact. Thank you and thank you for sharing, it looked like a lot of fun.
Best recap of the show I’ve seen and I’ve watched them all. Sad I only tried to sign up when they were no longer selling tickets. I didn’t know if I was able to attend till August.
I feel like I had a brush with a celebrity. I saw you filming and didn’t want to interrupt. I can’t wait to sit and devour this whole video. I made it to lots of places BUT I’m sure I missed things. Can’t way to see your haul.
This looks so fun! And don’t you love Boston General Store? April buys ephemera and vintage pencils from me for the store. She’s the sweetest! I’ve got to see if I can get a booth in the 2025 stationery fest… this looks amazing! I have tons of dead stock stationery paper of all kinds, like cotton rag, onion skin, vellum, linen, etc. Also lots of junk journal supplies. Thanks so much for sharing this! I’m a new follower and I love the way you share so much detail. I’m new to pens (a pencil collector), so this helps a lot!
So happy for you that you finally got yourself one of the Hachimonjiya pen, Lori!! We are now Kubozakura twinsies! They made so many just for this event! It’s so funny that they suggested medium for you! Do you know why they did that? You’re the juicy broads XD I was very shocked at how broad a Sailor broad was - they really did feel like western broads to me, so I think they would be good for you, however, a Sailor pro gear medium is also very perfect, especially for slightly drier inks. But since you already have a Sailor broad you know how it writes haha! I’m still confused but maybe I didn’t hear if you explained why they suggested m for you. And for missing out on other appointments, that’s typically something that happens on a very first event for a lot of folks, don’t feel too bad! I probably would have been the same haha. Next time you’ll have even more fun now that you know how things go! Thank you so much for sharing all the fun times you had at the fest!
I have the same 4 pen case from Galen Leather...It nice and worn out looking now. 😅 I wanted to buy it in the purple color while I was there, but I decided to wait to buy it online.
Can you share with me what morning pages are? I have no idea. Also, it seems to me a leather zip pouch would protect a nice pen AND an expensive purse. What do you think?
Lori, you are a bad influence on me. I just checked out the Boston General Store online and fell in love with the items they carry, not just stationery, but things for the home.
Hi… thank you for showing us about your stationary fest experience. I Hope to make it next year! Don’t know where to ask this question but I recently saw a pen storage solution you have .. a black and white case from TJ Max. I like it and now I can’t find the show where you posted it. Could you let me know either which video or the details where you found the case and inserts? Thank you so much. Enjoy your recent pen and journaling supplies. I also LOVE the Sterling ink TR notebooks. My husband met you at stationery fest and told you how I’ve bought many pens after seeing them on your shows … yes I’m incorrigible re pens! Love your show!
I loved every minute of this video! Your haul from Galen is wonderful, I have several pieces from them and they age beautifully! And your new Sailor is stunning!!!!
Suggestion: how about a vid about your pen cases the ones you carry in your bag? Apologies if you’ve done that already? If so, if you could post link would be great! I’m on the hunt for pen cases lately so would like to see yours along with your favs and why … thanks
I follow several accounts on instagram. Many of the fountain pen accounts and some stationery accounts will mention shows too. This is a link I found for pen shows around the world! ineedapenstore.com/pen-shows/

I see me!! Thank you for stopping by Lori

Thanks for taking us along! Was a fun video for those who couldn't make it. I'm hoping I can attend next year (assuming they'll have it again)! 😊
Thank you for watching. I'm hoping they'll have another Stationery Fest! I hope you can make it next year!
I loved that tray from Fountain Pendulum as well!
Awesome, thanks! :)
Thank you! Isn't it gorgeous!!

Enjoyed this video, Lori! It was great to meet you and have you at our table! Your new Sailor is beautiful!
Thanks for taking us to the show! So sad I couldn’t go. Now, time to watch this video 😆

You are so fortunate to be able to go to all the pen shows and buy such wonderful pen and planner related items! I really enjoy your videos.
Yay!!! Recap time! I've been hoping you would.
Thank you Katie! I hope you enjoy it!
Hi, Try an international converter in your Noblesse/Stream line fountain pen. It works in mine.
I loved this video and your haul was spectacular! I appreciate your coverage of Stationery Fest, I think you did a very wonderful job of conveying what the show was all about, and your thoughtful suggestions to Yoseka for next year make sense! I really hope they continue on with it!

Amazing video Lori! I feel I am back there 😊 Such a pleasure to spend time with you and Vanessa having a little coffee break ☕️

Thank you so much! xo
Thanks for the review and I'm glad you enjoyed your time there. It looks as amazing as you describe.
If you think Emma looks too big, try Northanger Abbey. So lighthearted and fun.
Thank you! Great suggestion! I'm enjoying Persuasion and also just started to listen to Jane Eyre on Audible which I am loving!
You are so lucky to have all this wonderful festivals and shows!

I have seen a few Stationery Fest vlogs but yours is the best! Thank you!
Wow, thank you so much. I've enjoyed watching all of the vlogs!

Awesome recap!!! Thank you for sharing your experience and all the goodies you got!!
Thanks for watching! It was such a special event!
Lori, this was such a fun video. Love, love, love the Sailor pen. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for watching! The Sailor pen is so special, I love it!
I have the Sheaffer 100 Coffee Edition Fountain Pen. I love it so much! Been writing with it almost everyday. Wonderful pen.

I'm so happy that you got one! It's a great pen!

Please show your Sailor collection!
I would love to share my collection! Hopefully I'll get a video out by the end of September.
Que sonho essa feira! O Brasil é fraco nisso!
Love, love Galen Leather!
I got the Coffee Sheaffer 100 pen from Goulet. I LOVE it! It’s my first Sheaffer.
I wanted to buy one so bad, but she didn't have any finely nibbed ones left.
That's wonderful! It's such a nice writer and pretty too!
Maybe online?? It's so cute!
I have the same 4 pen case from Galen Leather...It nice and worn out looking now. 😅 I wanted to buy it in the purple color while I was there, but I decided to wait to buy it online.
You can't go wrong with that piece! The purple one is really pretty!
Esterbrook first but definitely want to see the Sailor too. 😊
Ok! I just got a new Esterbrook pen too so that will be fun to share! Thanks Carmen!
Can you share with me what morning pages are? I have no idea. Also, it seems to me a leather zip pouch would protect a nice pen AND an expensive purse. What do you think?
I just received my Sheaffer pen Coffee Edition yesterday from Goulet! Very nice pen!
That pen is such a wonderful value and so pretty!
Hi Lori...nice video unfortunately I missed the fest...I love your videos and I'm glad that I belong to pen community.
Thank you Susan. The pen community is a wonderful group!
Lori, you are a bad influence on me. I just checked out the Boston General Store online and fell in love with the items they carry, not just stationery, but things for the home.
how fun, thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
I wonder if the strawberry chocolate ink will look best against coffee or tea dyed paper. A darker paper. Maybe even creme colored...just a thought

Ah! The TJ max Home goods case IS in this video after all. Any suggestions on the foam pen inserts? Who carries them? Thanks so much for the idea!
Here's the link! www.pennstateind.com/store/PKFXTRAY.html
Thank you very much!
Great review!
Thank you!!
I loved every minute of this video! Your haul from Galen is wonderful, I have several pieces from them and they age beautifully! And your new Sailor is stunning!!!!
Sailor pens are the best writers bar none
I could have shopped with you for hrs...just post all yer video...lol ;)
Suggestion: how about a vid about your pen cases the ones you carry in your bag? Apologies if you’ve done that already? If so, if you could post link would be great!
I’m on the hunt for pen cases lately so would like to see yours along with your favs and why … thanks
Great idea! It's been a long time since I did a pen case video!
You went to The Coffee zmonsterz Co’s booth!
Yes! I love Helen!
Are you going to the Dallas Pen Show? 😃
Question 😊how do I find out about these awesome events? I live in Brooklyn, but I'm not connected to any art groups😢
I follow several accounts on instagram. Many of the fountain pen accounts and some stationery accounts will mention shows too. This is a link I found for pen shows around the world! ineedapenstore.com/pen-shows/
I'd like to see both collections. Do Estie first. E comes before S. 😊
Haha, sounds good! Thank you!
I’ve tried googling stationary fest or anything of this sort in SoCal and nothing!!! Do you or anyone know of anything coming up in SoCal????
I wouldn’t line up 2 hrs for anything even tho I don’t think we have these types of shows other than some pen shows in Australia
I’m personally not a fan of brown inks but differences make the world go round.
Time with Tayda
What brand is the bubble tea ink? @11:49
Hi! It's Lennon Tool Bar. Thanks for watching!
Expensive ≠ investment, not that pens aren't fun, though.
A link to this “Helen” you mention..whats her channel name? Thanks
Here's Helen's Channel: www.youtube.com/@TheCoffeeMonsterzCo/videos
She's wonderful!
My name is Gayelynn, I wonder if she spells it like mine or Galen leather? Please, please, as soon as you know the dat for stationery fest 2025, yell it out!
I think she does spell it similar to you...I should pronounce the Y.... Thank you!!
Oh, nice! Mine is spelled Gailyn:) I like your double n!
They allow smoking in there?😷
No no...that is a fake cigarette.
$600 sold out. So much for inflation. 🤣
Crazy, right!
I would have went with the broad. Sailor broads write more like a medium, imo.
Is daisy from @yosekastationary pregnant?!🤰
Dude. Don’t.
