I have fallen asleep to this everyday for the past 3 months, I now have the entire map of the Roman Empire mapped out in my head, I don’t just think about the Roman Empire, I am the Roman Empire
GENIUS IDEA!!! I was worried that you were running out of countries to draw maps of, but i forgot there are a practically infinite number of historical empires to map!
Comparing this to your first drawn map of Europe more than 7 years ago truly shows how much your geographical knowledge and drawing skills have improved.
Could you consider drawing these maps! - Star wars galaxy (most famous planets, sectors and trade routes) - Some famous F1 tracks, with environmental landscape and major buildings - Horizon Zero Dawn, it has a beautiful map - Borderland 2 or 3 might be good
Adding to the list: Legend of Zelda BOTW map Eldin Ring Map The Steam Machines from the Far series, Lone Sails and Changing Tides The State of New Mexico Map of Countries prior to WW1 Lord of the Ring and The Hobbit maps. That’s all I have. Thank you!!!

I’m a few days late as I’ve been pretty busy with exams and such, but your videos have been wonderful for studying. I usually can’t do most Asmr as it tends to be far to loud or distracting for my quite sensitive ears. It works great for some background noise to fill in the silence, but not something too aggressive or loud. I’ve been watching videos for a few months now and really appreciate the way you make your videos. Keep up on the great work ☺️☺️

It is impressive that an empire as large as the Roman Empire was able to function with communications delivered by, at best, horse-back couriers with pre Industrial Revolution technology.
@@jurgisvalancauskas4006 not really. The empire started crumbling way before the army diminished. It was in fact a result of the empire being weakened that the army then also suffered, not the other way around imo.
@@iwonakaplon3399 agreed. The Empire got so big, they couldn’t effectively train enough troops to monitor their entire border. Eventually the quality of the military diminished because the empire just got so big. That led to the Germanic invasions succeeding where they did.
One of the biggest reasons the empire started crumbling was the Antonine Plague, which wiped out a significant percentage of the population and disproportionately affected urban areas. The hits to internal trade and overall GDP were probably huge contributors to the decline of the Roman state.
Specifically it was those kind internal crises more than being too big that caused the decline of the empire. The Empire retained fairly stable borders for as long as it did because those borders were appropriately maintainable where they were when Emperor Hadrian decided the Empire couldn't expand anymore. They only became slowly untenable when internal crises and epidemics slashed the population and wealth of the empire.
