    I've got both headsets, but my core only came with a 3.5mm splitter cable, but that's fine as I'm using them on a PC with good audio....which actually sounds better than the USB sound card on the cloud 2. I basically got them for free as I bought the "HyperX Streamer Starter Pack" which came with the cloud core and the solocast microphone, the whole pack was cheaper than just buying the solocast on it's own.

    • @iitzfizz
      @iitzfizz Рік тому

      Did your cloud core come with an inline volume control (not the soundcard but the one with the volume roller)? On hyperX pics it shows it does but on this video he has the same ones with the same box and there is no inline control on them. That would be the only reason that I would get them over the Cloud 2's though I'm thinking I should just get the Cloud 2s again since I've had them in the past and they were great. I had the CloudX too which have inline controls but now they're modelled same as Cloud Core with the shorter headband (they used to be the same as the Cloud 2s just with inline control before they were revised)

    • @Pete856
      @Pete856 Рік тому

      @@iitzfizz Yes, my cloud cores, which came in the streamer pack, do have an inline volume control. They are actually the 2nd set of cloud cores that I've owned, the 1st set (from 2015) didn't have the volume control, but they looked better with red stitching on the headband, (like the cloud 2 has). The newer cores have a cheaper looking headband, but everything else is the same. I never really found the lack of a volume control that bigger deal, as I've always had a keyboard with either a dedicated volume up and down button, or like my current keyboard, I press Function F2 or F3 for master volume up and down.

    • @DrathanKhan
      @DrathanKhan 6 місяців тому

      Yeah. There are two different cloud cores.
      ‎"HX-HSCC-2-BK" has a sound card, it has 7.1 virtual surround, connects with USB obviously.
      "HX-HSCC-BK" has 3.5mm jack and doesn't have 7.1.
      All the rest of the specs are exactly the same. If you have a good sound card on your pc, the 3.5mm one is better. If your sound card is doo doo then USB one is better.

    i really like your channel, i started researching sound because somethings going on with my sound where on desktop sound seems fine, not an expert but no obvious problems. but in most games, sound becomes a huge problem. missing voices, distant sounding combat, entire sound tracks seem to be missing or drop in the middle of playing. im absolutely baffled and i dont know how to debug this. any thoughts?

    • @BadIntentStreamTechReviews
      @BadIntentStreamTechReviews  2 роки тому

      Wow, that's actually different than anything I've heard of. Unfortunately I don't have a fix, but if you could record the problem using OBS, I think it would be easier to try to show others so you analyze the issue.

      I got my kraken 3 headset today and it seems ok so far, installing added a few new audio sources to my windows sounds profile. Ive got the default device set to the thx spacial. Default communication device set to (Speakers-razer kraken v3 hypersense) my Logitech speaker got renamed to speakers (Realtek (R) Audio) dont know what the r is for there. And internal aux jack (THx spatial audio) thx was turned on in game at first to test and in battlefield 1 sound was muddy. Sounds became distant sounding, like gunfire, there was a weird sensation that anything outside 20 feet was directionless and part of the ambient sound and im watching a teammate shoot but like. Anyway i turned thx off and went to hunt showdown where i was for sure able to hear correct direction on the whole map. Which is the way it should be so. Yeah any help appreciated

    so i have a cloud core set from like 23017 and there was no USB just a splitter extension, AND there's stitching around the top headband. Was looking at finally replacing them and was curious if any of the newer versions (because they dont officially support or sell these anymore besides the amazon store) were any better. Because HANDS DOWN the sound and comfort is totally worth it given the price. And the only over-ear headphones I can wear for multiple hours without any discomfort.
    sadly, the cloud core link is actually more expensive than the cloud II's now. so i might give those a try, and see if there's any difference. Really wish the mic was better though.

    I've been searching around for days now, trying to find a new headset. First i really fell in love with the logitech g pro x, but then i saw your review where you recommended buying the Cloud Alphas over the g pro x's. Plus everyone else is talking a lot of crap about the G pro x'es, so i feel like they're out of the picture now.
    I was really close to buying the Cloud Alphas, but then i saw a lot of comments that the Cloud Alpha s is a better version of the Alphas, plus the Original Alphas apparently had some problems with the cable that resulted in the sound of the headphones would sometimes just stop.
    So here I'm sitting, having no idea of which headset to buy.
    My first priority is sound and how comfortable the headset feels on the head, the mic isn't really a big deal for me, just needs to be working. I play games like apex legends and league of legends, and listen to music a lot. My budget i's around the 90$ mark.
    Does anyone have any thoughts of which headset i should go with? The g pro x's and the Alphas cost the same in my country, whereas the Alpha s cost a tiny bit more.
    So, should i be considering the g pro x's or should i just go with the alpha or alpha s?

    Will u review the Cloud Orbit S? Are they better than the Audeze Penrose?

    • @BadIntentStreamTechReviews
      @BadIntentStreamTechReviews  2 роки тому +2

      I chose to buy the Penrose over the Orbit S because it also has wireless. They use the same drivers and material so the sound and build quality should be the same. But the Orbit S adds a bunch of head tracking gimmicks and it's wired only which is why I passed on it.

    I have a question about increasing the headset volume on cloud core. Does this wheel increase the volume directly from the windows or is it a potentiometer?

    • @BadIntentStreamTechReviews
      @BadIntentStreamTechReviews  2 місяці тому +1

      Not gonna like this answer, but if you get the Cloud Core with the control box like mine (plus and minus buttons), it changes the volume in Windows. The one with the in-line controls and volume slider directly on the cable only changes the headset itself.

    • @joaofpss777
      @joaofpss777 2 місяці тому

      @@BadIntentStreamTechReviews Ah yes, thanks for the answer. It was what I was looking for. I prefer the one that changes the volume on the headset itself and not on Windows. I'll try to get some HyperX Cloud that has in-line controls to replace my Cloud Silver.

    My budget is around 80-90 dollars and I know your an expert on these so I'm relying on you. Just a warning I do have glasses and I play mainly shooter games so if you could help I would really appreciate it

      From a sound perspective, the Cloud II is probably the best option in that price range. It's actually it's on sale now at a lot of places for around $70 or less. But since you physically tried a lot of headsets, you'd know more than me which ones are the most comfortable.

    I wish i had seen this review 2 days earlir, might had cancelled my order just before delivery, Cloud Core DTS (its kinda tight on my head, i have stretched the bands and bend them to reduce clamp force, which made the headphone lose its grip fit on my ears resulting in low bass feel.
    I won't recomment Cloud Core to anyone with big head, face, chin, round face. Over sized people must ignore cloud core. The clamp force sucks and was giving me a pain in ears, headache within 1 hour of use.
