@@BlackGirlLovesAnime6 Every country was built on one principle: Divide and conquer. Alllll the way back to the beginning of time. As soon as somebody said "this is mine" somebody else was right there saying "oh yeah? Not for long, chump." Nobody has an unblemished history. EVERY tribe on the planet has raided, pillaged, plundered, enslaved, and murdered other tribes (I say "tribe" because there is only one "race"- the human race). I live where they make real maple syrup. They can keep their aunt jemima crap. Black people can eat that . I will eat the really good syrup. Amish made.
They will change the recipe again!
Al if you’re buying from the amish you’re getting ripped off 90% of the time, sorry to tell you. They act as if everything they make is touched by the hand of god and price it accordingly. Most amish are phony crooks, while some do good work, it is grossly overpriced. However, I’ve had real maple syrup and I agree about it being higher quality than anything in the store.
I thought they are just removing the name and not her face?!
Nancy Green was a Lady of Honor who made a significant contribution to the benefit of the community! BLM'RS destroyed that good will feeling!
Rusty Garren exactly she even toured the world and was very respected
Rusty Garren she was a living “mammy” her whole actual identity was erased and she was owed royalties from working as “aunt jemima” that she was never given. She was also an activist as well.

It’s a sad day 😣
Scott T she was played by a real person named Nancy Green. They probably don’t understand the fact that the original drawing for aunt Jemima was a black stereotype and a racist caricature. She looked like a racist character till they took the bandana off, made her slimmer, and gave her pearl earrings.

When I was around 5 years old there was a pancake feed put on by the Kiwanis Club in the town where we lived. Aunt Jemima was in attendance and she called out numbers. If the number was written on the bottom of your paper plate you won a package of her pancake mix. I was a winner!!! That was such a memorable moment for me. Jemima was a very very large woman and I was a very small child. She wore a colorful skirt, a scarf on her head, a great big smile, and looked just like the picture on the package. I walked up and Aunt Jemima gave me my package of pancake mix. I believe this was the first time I had ever seen a black person and I was in awe of her. It was a wonderful child hood memory that I will never forget.
r/that happened.
Sounds fake af 1930s she was around, so that's a lie
You know that wouldn't happen today because of all the correctness around.even though it was a puplicity stunt for advertising a product. I must of been exciting for you as a kid.

Unfortunately this is our shared history, back than blacks who invented items were routinely stolen from and because of the laws couldn’t even copy right or legally claim something they invented. This is one of the reasons they haven’t really prospered here, the inheritors of wealth was strictly for the whites. Even blacks whom owned land at their death there descendent’s were kept from inheritance, sometimes they would burn the property and other times be accused of rape and lynched. During that time in 6 of the southern states there is a recorded 4000+ Lynchings. The way capitalism is supposed to work, the public than did not allow for blacks to do well. As soon as the communities we’re doing well they would get burned down and the people slaughtered. When someone brings up our shared history of slavery, it’s not about the bondage but the continuous unequal laws that kept us from prospering. Even though the laws have changed, those racist companies will still not hire minority’s with ethnic sounding names even if they have the exact same education and experience as there white counterparts. And it still continues with the unequal pay for minority’s. I am just trying to educate our people that may not be aware of our true shared history. If everyone would take the time to do a little research and be honest with what you find, a greater understanding can be gained from that history.
Aunt jemima face wasn't that person it was Nancy green who signed a contract to use her face and the mix was started in 1889 and this person they are speaking of was not ever used on the box
