I remember seeing this for the first time and I was genuinely hyped. After a decade of waiting, Persona is finally back and it's definitely a HUGE improvement when it comes to basically...well, everything. From the music to the aesthetics, the story and the character designs, Atlus outdid themselves this time. Can't wait what ideas can Atlus come up with for Persona 6.
I think persona 5 can't quite give the feeling that these people are like family (which persona 3 and 4 did imo) instead, it feels like they are just a group of friends fooling around

In fact, 3 and 4, while having great character development (especially 3), they always felt like "the MC and his team". It didn't feel like family but more of a commander and his soldiers. Whereas 5 cemented that while Joker is the face of the PT, all of them are made incredibly unique and all have a role to play. They're not "Joker and the Phantom Thieves" but just the Phantom Thieves. While 5 basically used all tropes that past Persona games had, it improved on it. This was shown in incredible detail on the final semester of P5R and the entirety of Strikers. Even if you don't consider these two canon, it shows how far they've come as friends, as a team and as a family. TL;DR - Even if you don't see that the PT is family, you have got to at least admit that they're a very, very, VERY close group of friends who will be there for each other. And I think that's what family is.
@@ricodc6529 I always disagree when people say that the PT don't feel like friends but P5 doesn't reach P4's level when it comes to making everyone seem like genuine friends imo I think it's because in P4 half the team (basically Yukiko, Chie and Yosuke) were friends before Yu even comes to Inaba plus Kanji has a crush on Naoto and Teddie is living with Yosuke, in P5 we know that Ann and Ryuji kinda hung out in middle school but that's about it (I guess there's Morgana simping on Ann too) Plus P4 being more "slice of lifesque" there are a lot of events just about the team hanging together with no investigation business (camping out, skiing, going to the beach, sleeping at Yukiko's inn, doing a concert...eating a watermelon ?), P5 has that but they do bring up PT business a lot more (which I guess is kind of the point of the middle game) like in Hawaii or Destinyland, plus the whole idea that the PT can't continue without Joker doesn't help (I know it's a thing in P4 too but in P5 Akechi "kills" Joker because he knows the team is over without him and it's a major plot point)...that being said Strikers is pretty much a whole game about them going on vacation together and imo they still feel more like actual friends than SEES but I strongly disagree that the Investigation Team don't feel like friends That being said I feel like no game in the series really reached its full potential yet

And good think as thr years past it did...well...Royal, but I would have like it if we had Vanilla Version due to it being more challenging in terms of time management. The Quality of Life they added made it so that almost anyone can max all confidants in one go. Whereas in Vanilla, it make thr challege more difficult unless you already play it and are doing NG+ with all the social stats maxed out to be able to not have thr requirements for some confidante due to social stats. (Of course, when not using a guide and doing all this the first time.)

Still preferred Japanese voices. The first time I got Persona 5 I was really excited until I heard the introduction in English. I got confused, continued until the gameplay intro that was still in English. After hearing it was in English, I was like "Nope," turned off the game, then immediately downloaded the Japanese dub in the Playstation Store
SMH Sub purists & their pretentiousness. This game’s English dub is universally loved so you’re clearly the one with the issue. The only reason to prefer the sub is if Japanese is your first language.
