I loved Siskel and Ebert, but they were wrong about this film. I loved it
The music which Siskel dismisses as "cornball" was actually written by Jerry Goldsmith, one of the most venerated Hollywood composers of all time, whose credits include Patton, Chinatown, The Omen, Alien, Hoosiers and LA Confidential. Ironically, years later, Siskel would laud Goldsmith's score for Mr. Baseball -- a score widely regarded as one of the composer's lesser efforts.
Listening to this clip I have to agree that the soundtrack is bad. Jerry Goldsmith may be a good composer but that does not matter if Disney hampered his creativity. John Hurt is a good actor but his performance is also dumbed down by a bad script and Disney.
Did they even try?
I have to disagree. I liked Night Crossing.
Papa 🤣🤣😭
