Victor Victoria Trailer - Directed by Blake Edwards and starring Julie Andrews, James Garner, Robert Preston, Lesley Ann Warren, Alex Karras. A struggling female soprano finds work playing a male female impersonator, but it complicates her personal life.

As a very young child, this was my favorite movie. I would make my grandma put it on every time I went to visit.

I love this movie as it made me laugh so much throughout .....another character whom I feel was hilarious was Leslie Ann Warren.

Love, love, love this movie. Saw it on Broadway as well in ‘95. Not a great production, but I got to see Julie Andrews in the flesh.
That was one of my biggest regrets in life...I so wanted to see her in Tampa, but wasn't able to.....Love this movie/production....
They sadly do not make movies like this anymore. Victor Victoria is my all time favorite comedy (followed by Murder by Death, Erik the Viking, and Ice Pirates). How it did not receive a ton of academy awards I'll never understand. The movie is a perfect package and the actors were phenomenal but, Lesley Ann Warren and Robert Preston were absolute genius. The music and choreography are spectacular too, especially Le Jazz Hot. I never get tired of this film.
Dune137 Julie Andrews & James Garner are brilliant & phenomenal together! Preston & Julie's chemistry I love as well! Julie hands down is hot as Victor & stunning sexy as Victoria! The end she looks so drop dead gorgeous! Hilarious Romantic awesome singing. & dancing!!!

Soon, there will be more and more movies like this, straight-forward comedies with non-stop slapstick, crazy characters, sharp dialogues and farcical situations are gonna be more popular than ever along with musicals.
I totally agree with 'everything" you wrote. Ole Robert Preston, out did himself and I thought he was good in The Music Man: However, in my opinion, he was even better in Victor Victoria!
@@mlchc9004 agreed. Everyone in this movie was absolutely great! And who could not love Julie Andrews... she's a beautiful woman with a heavenly voice. And James Garner....grew up watching him on the Rockford Files...what a great actor and with surprising comedic talent. It's just one of the most perfect movies in my opinion.

For some reason I think this movie is my all time favorite Blake Edwards movie, I know I only watch the classic Pink Panther movies but now I've watched Breakfast at Tiffany's but watching this I've never seen so much slapstick with music and songs this amazing before, it's so funny and so entertaining as this film, I love it and best comedy film from Blake Edwards one of hollywood's great but cult filmmakers from Hollywood and absolutely enjoyed Julie Andrews, James Garner and Robert Preston's performances they're great.
When I was a in middle school me and my best friend were all about theater and film so we went to an event with his mom who was in advertising to meet Shirley Jones (Partridge Family Mom) in rehearsal for a show she was doing. Afterwards we attended a Writers Seminar featuring Blake Edwards who taught the class of about 40 people. Good times!

Kyle Sievertsen - It was all filmed at the Pinewood Studios in England not in Paris. The original intention was to use Paris but there were too many modern items like television aerials to make it feasible. This is explained in the very interesting Blake/Julie commentary extra on the Victor Victoria blu-ray.
