Night Shift (1982) Official Trailer - Michael Keaton, Ron Howard Movie HD
A nebbish of a morgue attendant gets shunted back to the night shift where he is shackled with an obnoxious neophyte partner who dreams of the "one great idea" for success. His life takes a bizarre turn when a prostitute neighbour complains about the loss of her pimp. His partner, upon hearing the situation, suggests that they fill that opening themselves using the morgue at night as their brothel. Against his better judgement, he gets talked into the idea, only to find that it's more than his boss that has objections to this bit of entrepreneurship.

I would actually argue that this is a well constructed trailer. The narration provides a very simple plot description, you can get a sense of the characters’ clashing personalities based on their legs/walk alone, and the build up to leading all the girls into a building only at the very end to have it be revealed as the city morgue leaves the viewers with a nice hook to entice them to watch the movie. All without using any footage from the actual film. Great trailer
^This. It doesn't spoil the movie at all.. it provides the basic gist but it's all about setting the tone. Using the JJ Flash instrumental was a solid nod to the buddy aspect, and the narrator was iconic for back then. Trailers need more of that now.. you can see quite a few movies overspoil theirselves now-a-days by showing too much. This one worked by showing hardly little.
I just tried to use this crap to convince a group to watch this movie. Everyone was confused and unenthused. We’re watching mean girls for the 400th time

My favorite movie of all time. I have never seen this trailer before.....ever. None of this footage is used in the movie. Modern trailers should take a hint, it gives you just enough and gives nothing away.

One of my all time favorite eighties flicks...still love it in 2018!!..... "Listen slime,you got exactly three seconds to take your hands off this particular woman...one....oooooph"... Love that ending!

In order to avoid typecast Henry Winkler took on a lot of different roles.

This film is like a feel gud romantic comedy to me. The prostitution is mentioned but not shown a lot. It’s mostly about the friendship/budding romance between neighbours Chuck and Belinda.

I'm an idea guy. I got it, mix mayonnaise in the can with the tuna. I think he oddly predicted this by 18 to 20 years, funny at the time though.

Yeah, a lousy trailer for a good movie. But mostly we went for Ron Howard & Henry Winkler. Name recognition was more important than the trailer.

If you have a few days before you start night shifts, gradually taper your sleep and wake times towards the new schedule, for example, by rising 2 hours later each day and going to bed 2 hours later. Take a nap before your shift to reduce sleepiness when you're at work.
