  • Using alcohol inks on the gel plate are so magical. I use hand sanitizer first and this allows the alcohol ink to stay wet longer. I also use alcohol lift ink reinker to lift the alcohol ink off of the gel plate. This has a different but amazing result.

The results are gorgeous. This is the first time I've seen alcohol inks paired with gel plates. The result is very neat and different!

Loved the video and the results! From your previous video on this technique I made around 50+ prints…no kidding! I love this technique. I struggled with some with blotchy patches of where I added the lift reinker so I ended up rubbing it on my brayer instead and it was much more even so your tip to use a separate gel plate to roll on the lift reinker is a great idea I will be trying. Could you please message me what the name of the round stencil is please? I checked the supply list but didn’t see it. I hope your mojo comes back because you’re very talented and I love your lives! Thanks so much for sharing! 🥰

Tiffany, I think your slump is because this is your job. You have to keep slogging away creating new content. I suggest you do something different. Try making cake toppers, refinish something in your house, pull out left over stuff, lace trim, paint, buttons, what ever you have and make a container for your markers. My point change what you are doing. Make a gift, sing, enjoy the day. I bet your followers would be interested in your journey. I’m betting that what ever made you try-bookbinding, cardmaking or alcohol inks will benefit from it.

Of everything, I’ve only ever used the gel plate and brayer once. I’ve never used the lift ink (bought at release).
It’s been OVER 10 YEARS since I’ve made anything except Christmas cards, now down to 4 (from 30+) and the occasional birthday card. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME??? You know how I use to pump out projects and videos. I keep buying, hoping for inspiration, watching videos for “older” and new products, and as much as I love everything, I just … 😒😢 Happy Early Thanksgiving, “Lil’ Sis”… ❤ -Nancy
