Beautiful. Just got a gel press so looking forward to watching more of your clips and learning what to do.. you are very easy to watch, very entertaining. Thank you.
Barbara, I enjoy watching your videos so much! I always learn something new and inventive. Thank you soo much. Please keep up the great videos! It is totally fun to see you having such fun and being so real... you are delightful to watch and I always leave with a smile on my face! For that, a very special Thank You dear lady!!! 💐💐💐
I watched this when you first put it on UA-cam Tuesday, but had neither gel plates or alcohol inks, so it was more an interesting video than a learning tool. Now I have all those items and want to try it out. Wish me luck, I'm not a quick learner, sadly. Thank you, Barbara, as always a fascinating technique, told gently and with humour.
Barbara, You make me laugh. You have the best idea's ever. You are a great teacher. I bet you would be a hoot to know. You make me Wish I lived in the UK. Thank You.
I am so so grateful I subscribed to your channel a while ago. I got a gelli plate at Christmas and have enjoyed making prints and playing around with it. A lot of my friends have started using alcohol inks and it looks so tempting but I’m having to be careful with cash at the moment, but now I’ve seen I can combine the two and don’t need all the colours! Your videos are an inspiration! Xx
Lovely project, Barbara. I've been subscribed to your blog and UA-cam channel for quite a few years but for some reason I haven't received the email notifications for the blog posts for a while. I'm so glad that I spotted this tutorial on Pinterest. It reminded me of how much I enjoy your posts. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you so much Linda. With regards to the blog emails, perhaps if you have a look at your account settings there may be a setting for email notifications?
Love it! My favourite was the print you pulled off the plate using white paint- so colourful! I had no idea how to use alcohol inks with the Gelli plate, thanks for a fun and informative tutorial!
I have just started working with the gelliplate and I'm so glad I found your U-tube channel. I love your enthusiasm and personality. You have taught me a lot so far. I look forward to watching more of your videos. 💕
Love your videos! I’m even watching the ones in German! Love the - ‘oh hello!” And your impatience! Your work is the stand out though- brilliant stuff. Thanks!!!
I absolutely love your Channel! Found your Groovi plates on hochanda and subsequently found your site and spent a small fortune earlier! I was rubbish at pergamano years ago so look forward to the groovi pates to use with all my old tools, and use your stencils with my gel press
I’ve just bought the same ‘mangle’ you used and I have most of the other kit, just need the stencils and I’m off. Super tutorial I really look forward to them.
Oh Barbara, I’ve just found you and am so enjoying your videos! It’s like dropping in with a friend each time.....are you interested in having a BFF in Texas!? 😉😊 Thank you for your generous and spirited sharing ❤️
So funny you are you are! AND I learn stuff to boot! Just found your channel and will give it a go! The gell plate is surprisingly more versatile than I ever thought.
You are so funny! You remind me of the actress who played Shaun's mum in "Shaun Of The Dead". She also played Matthew's mother on "Downton Abbey". I love your humor and your instructional videos.
Your work is too brilliant for words and your process is so fascinating to watch. Just wanted to be sure to say that blending solution, if it's Ranger, has resin in it. I've heard Tim Holtz say to never to spray it. Would love to know what type yours is if you have one that's safe to spray?
thank you for your videos. i enjoy them. i had thought from other videos that you had to use a sanitizer first before putting alcohol ink down on the plate, but here it looks like it is safe to do without that step.
I remember now watching you do this on Hochanda, and like now, I'm always so intrigued by your process, that's half the fun, isn't it? Thank you!! Love this, might even get my over my hesitation to use alcohol ink!
I adore you! Thank you for all the ideas and inspirations for using gelli plates. I bought had-to-have gelli plates, small and extra large, several years ago and have done very little with them. I am on a Barbara and Gelli plates video watching jag. Question: can any acrylic paint be used to lift a print?
others put alcohol GEL (as in SANITIZER HAND GEL) on the plate too so that it 'suspends' (keeps open) the alcohol inks & they don't dry as fast :) Your humor - love it. :) That first print you finished with the stencil - OMG! Will that work with most stencils made of proper plastic-y stencil material? (Obviously not paper ones)
I don't see why not. Give it a go and share on Clarity Worldwide on Facebook! We would love to see the result because sharing is caring at the end of the day.
