If the most of the generators you see in your shop are Champion as you stated, then that is saying they are the most problematic and not at all “pretty solid”. At least that is how I interpret your comment as it is worded.
I have a champion 4000 that has ran 24 hours a day only being turned off for fuel and oil check daily. It's been running over a year literally. I change the oil in regular maintenance every week
They have been around a few yrs there prices are great problem being is right no there biggest I think is 4400 wat what you charge to repair they could get a new one. 😂 That's why your not seeing them plus they run a long time I got 3 no issues run one everyday great on 2 gallons 11 hrs my old generator 5 gallons 7 hrs.
There's a battery on the other side, it come pre installed, but not plugged it, after that battery charges you can press the power button to start the generator without pulling the cord all the time
Personally I’d rather get a predator generator because they’re better quality. I could probably make ten jokes on how Powersmart isn’t so smart when it comes to their equipment. Anyway, I’m in Bear Lake Utah this week, so far I’ve been riding my ATVs on the trail and zipping across the lake on a jet ski. And the best part is that I’m only two hours away from home.

Hey lordnet during a power outage people try plugging as many high power items into a generator. Cheap Power strips typically can’t handle splitting up that much power and burn up. Thanks for watching!
The plastic panels are a pain just to replace the pull rope. My experience with them can’t even imagine the smaller parts the battle you have to deal with, no thanks! Just build a small pallet box for weather and sound. Better than dealing with all the plastic and screws.

Meh.... I might try out a PowerSmart lawn/snow tool. But a generator? Maybe for camping. But home back-up? No way in Hell...... If my PowerSmart lawnmower craps the bed, oh well. If my PowerSmart gen set fails during a power outage, I'm one pissed off MF. I have a DuroMax 13000w (10500 running) gen set with a 50amp cord that plugs into my main panel via a transfer switch. I can run everything in my house including two window A/C units, the fridge, and all lights and outlets. Total cost for the entire set-up was around $2,100 including my electrician friend doing the wiring. Anyway....... Rant over. 😂🤣😅 Way to keep up the honest, no BS reviews JB!! Bought my generator on eBay seller said they sent it off and everything they sent me update along the way but ups uncaringly left it without anyone signature a big product as such no one talks about the possibility of not receiving your product nonsense this is bad publicity bad business your company are insure why do I have to be the one to loose I would love it someone would read my comment and help berly just left Jamaica 🇯🇲 I buy my generator because sum don’t shine at night ups is not who the portray to be
