I Absolutely Love Honey Buns And This Is Absolutely Amazing/OLD SCHOOL HONEY BUN POUND CAKE

- OLD SCHOOL Honey Bun Pound Cake!
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs, room temperature
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 325°F and prepare a 10-inch bundt pan.
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
Mix flour, baking powder, soda, and salt. Alternately add dry ingredients and sour cream to the butter mix.
Combine honey, brown sugar, cinnamon, and pecans for the filling.
Layer half the batter in the pan, top with half the filling, then repeat.
Swirl with a knife, bake for 60-70 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

Chef....I just have one question.... why do you beat cakes so hard/fast (on high speeds)?? Is a timing thing (like in a hurry to finish)?

I have been baking (schooled by observation and talking with my grandma lol) for years and my child went to school for baking/pastry arts, she currently works as a baker at a local bakery in town....I asked the question bc I had noticed that when you are mixing your cakes you start at a certain speed but then you crank the speed all the way up. That's what I was questioning. I pray you understand what I mean...I truly apologize for not making myself clear originally 🥰💜
