To take this up yet another level, try this: add the icing that came in the cinnamon roll package to 1/2 a block of room temperature cream cheese (don't use the whipped cream cheese that comes in a tub), and add a teaspoon of vanilla extract if you wish. Whip this mixture together until smooth. Add a tablespoon or two of whipping cream, if the mixture is too thick. Load the icing into a sandwich sized plastic baggie. Cut off a very small portion of one of the baggie corners, then squeeze the icing out onto your cinnamon rolls - and serve. (I like to get the cinnamon rolls out of the pan onto the serving plate, then ice them. This lets the icing drip down the sides, looks pretty, and ensures that you get icing in every bite. Enjoy!
@cassandraakins2235 hi Cassandra, you just bake the cinnamon buns with no icing until they're lightly golden. (The time depends on the recipe you're using calls for.) Get your icing ready while they're baking so that it's not cold. (It should be room temperature to make it creamy. I take my cream cheese out of the fridge as soon as soon as I know I'm baking with it.) Let the buns cool for 10-15 minutes once they are finished baking - and then drizzle the icing. You don't want to put the icing on while they buns are hot, or it will just run down the sides into puddles. Hope that helps!
Ok, confession time. The wife and I made these this morning, followed this video exactly. Folks, these taste so good. They are cinnamon buns on a different level. It might be the cardiac level down at the trauma center, but oh yeah! I cannot deny that they are the best cinnybunz I've ever had.
She’s right about the salt 🧂. Just add a little dash of salt to your homemade ice cream mix, cake batter, etc. You don’t taste the salt, but it just makes the dessert taste more like whatever flavor it is, like vanilla tastes more vanilla like, strawberry tastes more strawberry like, etc. It’s what pastry chefs do.
Yes! Salt somehow enhances the sweetness. If you ever get a watermelon that's kinda blah...like it just isn't sweet enough, sprinkle some salt on it. It'll liven it up and make it sweet!
It's so easy to make real cinnamon rolls that these fake chemical filled grocery store garbage quick fixes are a sure way to get cancer and other serious health issues. Poor doesn't have to mean crap. Broke the internet, lmao.
I love how easy you're recipes are! Our 7 year old granddaughter always says let's make one of Kristin's desserts! Thank you for sharing all your yummy easy recipes!
-2 cans cheap cinnamon rolls/ can -Heavy whipping cream -Stick butter/ melted -3/4 Brown sugar -1 tsp Cinnamon -I tsp salt -Mix and drizzle mixture on top of rolls -Cover with foil -350 F 30 mins -Drizzle icing packets on top to finah up
I make homemade cinnamon rolls and caramel pecan cinnamon rolls. The pecan variation you take 1/4 cup melted butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 T water, 1/2 cup chopped pecans. Mix it up. Pour bottom pan, place rolls on top. When it’s done you carefully flip the rolls over onto a plate or platter.
While still hot from the oven, before I iced them, I covered them with chopped candied pecans and broiled them, oh my goodness, the little bit of crisp in the top of the buns with the icing holding the pecans in place, every bite was worth the cardio workout I'm about to do everyday this month. 😊
I have been making from scratch yeast cinnamon rolls for 60years and these are just as delicious and so easy. As I have aged quick and easy is becoming a necessity and these will be my cinnamon rolls hereafter. Thanks so much for sharing this hack.
I added a little vanilla flavoring to the brown sugar mixture and used homemade cream cheese Icing ( I do a lot of baking, so I usually have leftover Icing in my fridge) Delicious!!!! Thanks for the great recipe.
@4tun8nanette, @alilynameddaisy3692 - Google "King Arthur Flour Baking." There are recipes for cream cheese frosting on their website. Use *Butter* in cream cheese frosting for the best taste. Do *NOT* substitute margarine, nor neufchatel cheese. Also, remember that softening cream cheese takes longer than you'd think, although cubing it does speed up the process.
I cover the bottom of a buttered glass dish with pancake syrup and sprinkle pecan pieces on it. Then, I place in my cinnamon rolls. Bake as normal, then flip pan onto serving platter. So gooey and easy!
if you further added some cream to the mix, Not near as much as she. A little after you place the buscuits, It just may make its own caramel. considering the ingredients and temperatures are there
I don't know what is different, but I bought two cans of these today. The exact same thing you used, but mine don't completely fill my casserole dish like yours do. I even switched to another casserole dish because I thought maybe mine was larger than yours, but still I could arrange both cans of rolls to where there a huge gap between each row of rolls. I have them in the oven right now, so we'll see if it works out. I even went and checked out another video for this exact same recipe, and his filled his casserole dish just like yours did, but for some reason mine don't. I will say, even though I purchased EXACTLY what you used, the Great Value cinnamon rolls in the red can, mine look a tad smaller in thickness than yours do, but again, I guess we'll see when they come out of the oven. UPDATE: Okay, so they actually all puffed up and filled in the entire casserole dish. They came out of the oven looking amazing. After allowing them to cool until they were just warm, I drizzled the icing all over them, and they look even more amazing. However, the best part is the taste. It's been a few years since I had a Cinnabon, but when it comes to food, my memory is pretty darn good, and I will say these taste almost exactly like a big warm moist delicious Cinnabon. In fact, I don't think anyone would tell the difference unless you tasted the two side by side. These are absolutely AMAZING, and the best part is I made an entire casserole dish full of them for less money than it costs to purchase just one Cinnabon. Well done, young lady! Well done! Now I'm looking forward to relatives coming to visit us just so I can make these for them for breakfast.
Great result. How much does 1 cinnabon cost vs the cans of rolls just out of interest please? I live in New Zealand and can’t buy either here but the last time we were in Sydney in 2016, one cinnabon cost $5 Aust.
@@annayoung3098I'm in Canada and that is about the right price for a single cinnabon roll if not a bit more actually and to buy one of those cinnamon rolls canisters from the store is about $3 to $4 roughly and you get 6 or 8 rolls.

Hello,I am a 58 year old male and these are the best cinnamon buns our family has ever had!!! The instructions were perfect and I love your accent 😊 I made these for our family. We will be making them again.. 🎉
I reckon they would be even better if you take the foil off for the last 5-15 minutes of baking. The sugar will caramalise and you'll be left with an ultra crispy top.
Hello. I’m from Canada and I made these cinnamon buns twice and the people who ate them raved about how great they tasted. I’m so glad I found your video. Thank you.
I made these today & they ARE absolutely incredible! I also topped them with candied pecans. Don't be afraid to use plenty of cream, I thought they might get mushy but they don't! I will make these every fall forever!
That looks really good! I know you have removed all the calories for us over weight fat people! There is never enough icing in those packets so I would need to make my son-in-law's icing recipe to have plenty. And I love pecans so I'd have to sprinkle a good amount of pecans (whole, halves or pieces) before inserting in the oven. I'm putting on weight thinking about it!!
This would be a great Christmas morning treat for your family if they staying at your house! I love your recipes they're easy & sooooo good! Thank you for sharing! 😊
Differently not a very day, week, or monthly treat. I would make these for a special yearly treat for sure. I'm not allowed to eat all that heavy cream or butter. I would have a bite or two to taste. Family would enjoy the rest❤😂
I hope who ever reads this makes piece with Father God .His Son The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins , And you need to repent, That means to Change your mind. And live for him and NOT your self ,You We need to die to our own selfish desires ,And choose to live holy for him . If You Do Sin Though He will for give if you ask him to for give you and he will .But remember God hates sin But If you trust just in Him , And Not our own good works. Then you will go to Heaven if you endure to the end of your life, Then you will escape Hell and Satan .I hope to see you in Heaven. God bless every one
Looks good. I'd be tempted to add a bit of vanilla extract, perhaps mixed with the cream. I feel the flavour would work better in the cream, over adding it into the melted butter and brown sugar, since it has the salt and cinnamon.
Ohhhhh YEAH!! Kirstin - these just got moved to my "game day" deeeelicious food line up! My stomach was growling was watching you make them!! Thank you!
I make a variation of this . Put the cream in the pan first with some brown sugar and a shake of cinnamon, add the cinnamon rolls and cover to let them rise a bit. add some melted butter and bake uncovered. When it's done flip it onto a plate for serving. the ooey gooey is to die for. You'll definitely want to use round cake pans or round deep-dish pizza pans like i use. Pizza dough works great for this as well. I made it for years at a restaurant I worked at.
@CeleSera Sadly, I can't give you precise measurements. "That looks about right, " isn't very helpful. Probably, a good place to start is the measurements in the current recipe. My hunch is that I would use more cream and more brown sugar. I'll do the recipe and let you know.
To keep them soft & fresh, immediately take them out of the dish that you baked in, and put them in something else with a lid on it. Like a Tupperware bowl or something plastic that has a top to it. If you don't put 'em away like that, they'll start getting hard literally like the same day. I don't know if it's because they come outta the can or what, but I noticed that they don't stay soft unless you seal 'em up right away. You can also put them in a zip lock bag if you're okay with some of the icing coming off.
@Larson Family 🤭🤭. That's a good solution as well. But the one mistake people make is reheating them too long. Especially in the microwave. 5-10 seconds at the MOST, and that's it. To some, this may seem like a short amount of time to get them warm, but it's really not.
This is a bit off topic but an amazing treat I make for "usually thanksgiving" is.. Croissant rolls, un roll them, separate them, then grab some cranberry sauce, spread it on 1 side, then roll up the croissant. Place it in the oven for suggested time on package. Enjoy the goodness!! Their incredible
I second that! Definitely gonna try. I also have one to try with croissant rolls. Make your groundbeef or ground turkey like you would for spaghetti.. with the spaghetti sauce and seasonings and all that, just minus the actual spaghetti and fill the each croissant with some and press them like little pockets, don't roll them back up. And voila... delicious pockets of beef!
Thanks for this hack! I was invited today to a dinner and I couldn’t think of what to bring. I had all these ingredients and decided to make this really quick. Boy! It was a hit! I’m not into cinnamon rolls myself but I have to admit it was delicious!! This is a keeper! ❤
Thank you Kristin...You're the new 'Cinnabon Lady'! Really appreciate this, since my wife passed away a year ago, so now I need to learn more about baking, where my wife left off, since she was 'The Baker', in our family. Hoping to make a few dozen for a local church, to raise money to help the less fortunate, in our community. Greetings and Merry Christmas, from Florence, KY.
Hey I'm from that area lol . Busy florence , I actually grew up in Taylor mill , by independence but spent a lot of time in Florence especially at the mall
I'd mix the sugar and butter a bit longer to avoid that runny first drip, and the last thick drip; I'm a stickler for consistency; they look delicious.
these look great, for sure. try this little variation sometime. butter up your 9x13 glass baking dish. now take 4oz melted lightly salted butter, add one cup of tightly packed dark brown sugar, 4 tablespoons of cinnamon, 2 tablespoons of real vanilla extract... stir it till it's a smooth consistency and pour that evenly in the pan. sprinkle a 12oz package of fresh raspberries over your yummy sauce, then cover with the 12 cinnamon rolls, drizzle 8oz of heavy cream, tight foil, 350 oven for 40 minutes. voila... raspberry caramel rolls. i still thank mama for making the boys learn to cook and dad for teaching the girls to change oil and fix flat tires. 😊
I grew up on what we called Cream Rolls. Course that was stariing in the 60s. The rolls were made just like any other rolls were, but before you baked them you mixed up whole milk or usually cream, and sweetened it slightly added some vanilla, and poured it over them, and they were baked and they were luscious and made their own sauce. But so many people now think of the cinnamon rolls today. like Cinnabon picke em up and go. The reason these fell out of favor is then most women were housewives and they had the time to make homemade dough, now women are usually busier than a one legged man at a butt kickin contest trying to work, be a mother, a laundress, and a cook plus their therapist, their doctor and then at night well, there ya go. Glad to see ya bringin em back with a shortcut!!
1Corinthians15:1-4=Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the GOSPEL which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are SAVED, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, HOW THAT CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES; AND THAT HE WAS BURIED, AND THAT HE ROSE AGAIN THE THIRD DAY ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES. Ephesian 1:13=In whom ye also TRUSTED, after that ye heard the word of truth, the GOSPEL of your SALVATION: in whom also after that ye BELIEVED, ye were SEALED with that holy Spirit of promise. Ephesian 2:8-9=For by GRACE are ye SAVED through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of WORKS, lest any man should boast. Romans 3:23-26=For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being JUSTIFIED FREELY by his GRACE through the REDEMPTION that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a PROPITIATION through FAITH in his BLOOD, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which BELIEVETH in Jesus. Without blood there is no life and without Jesus BLOOD no eternal life. ua-cam.com/video/lbb4xwYj19g/v-deo.html Look up Robert Breaker and Revelation Station on youtube.
For anyone wondering "why salt?" It's because salt is highly reactive. It catalyzes a variety of chemical processes that can radically change the flavors of most foods, not by making them "salty" but rather by making the molecules responsible for those flavors more readily accessible to our tastebuds. Your tastebuds are chemoreceptors, and if a given molecule is too stable to interact with them, you taste nothing. Salt increases the reactivity of those molecules, making flavors "pop" more when you taste them. It doesn't take much at all for the effect. Though if you want an actual salty flavor, obviously it does take a bit more salt. Not bad for a table condiment comprised of two of the deadliest elements on the periodic table (well, not that really any of them AREN'T deadly by themselves). It also, however, doesn't help with foods that are otherwise quite neutral in flavor or seemingly flavorless...such as most of the more basic and cheaper kinds of potatoes. Additionally, certain foods just..."eat"...salt, as well as other flavors. Again, certain potatoes do this, as well as other vegetables, and certain meats, like turkey actually. That's one of the reasons why so many recommend brining poultry of all sorts. It's not so much about keeping the meat tender or juicy, but rather that it'll be a black hole of flavor if you don't. Especially if you have any aversion to dark meat for whatever reason.
I made this last night and it was delicious! I used cinnamon sugar seasoning, put everything in the crockpot as it was in the 80’s here and didn’t want that oven on. Also heated up cherry pie filling it was so good! Everyone loved them. Thank you!
Wooo wee! Even if this doesn’t happen to come with a side of insulin, THIS recipe is happenin’ asap in fact I’m adding the rolls to my grocery order now as I saw this randomly right before hitting send! Fellow southerner. Much ‘preciated!
I love this hack. I make my own brown sugar mixture too but save a little for after they cook for the top. Ohhhh and try making cream cheese frosting with just CC, powdered sugar and a touch of milk then mix the icing packets with the frosting. Sooo good with homemade taste.
@@caillew7618 just did it with lemon extract and omg lol so good... technically I added a little too much but it still was amazing. I had leftover frosting from a cake and used it for the rolls. Great suggestion!
Its better to melt butter enough to dip and flip each of the cinnamon rolls in place them in the pan. There should be enough to drown them all. Then sprinkle sugar over them all, then the cinnamon. (The sugar will Crystalize and be gross if you dont) then cover with foil. Take it off about 5 minutes before its done. When they come out the oven, top with the icing. They will be so soft buttery pull apart easy and less mess, time, effort and money.
They do look mighty YUMMY! Also, so easy really, not a million years in the kitchen working dough, etc. I bet my dh (dear husband of 48+yrs) would LOVE to come home and smell the fresh baked rolls I made FROM SCRATCH (teehee) ! Thank you Kristin, I look forward to discovering more of your recipes and channel. I just found your channel happenstance, and subscribed :).
Yvonne...I love your *"teehee,"* & I bet your dear husband would rave over anything you cooked for him, but still, just make sure to hide the empty cans! g r i n s 😊
Got multiple “grandma points” for making these for the grandkids!!!! So easy and even better than bakery cinnamon rolls bc I didn’t have to leave home!!! Love them ❤ My new go to recipe 🎉🎉🎉
@@Patti-1962I think they meant 'make them from scratch' And I'm probably gonna catch a lot of flack for this next thing, but.... **IDGAF:** They sound like "antivaxxers," too
I’ve never heard of pouring cream over bread dough. Is the purpose to make the cooked rolls super soft? I’d think they’d come out soggy. Can you taste the cream in the baked roll?
I was leary when you showed the cheap store bought rolls, I was out when you introduced the heavy cream, then uiu brought me right back in with the melted butter and when you pulled them out of the oven, I put my shoes on to head to the grocery store to buy the ingredients. I LIKE!
My mom taught me (her mom taught her) that adding a little salt brought out a fuller flavor especially when she made her famous PB candy. These cinnamon rolls made my mouth water.
Well Bless your heart. She didn't say All southerners say cinnamon rolls are biscuits, just that she did. My Grandmother called okra "okree" and batteries "bat-rees". Everyone everywhere use quiloquialisms for all sorts of things. Big deal. Besides, technically they are biscuits just with cinnamon added. Heck, I've used canned biscuits to Make cinnamon rolls! 😋
No, a biscuit is revered in the South. Cinnamon rolls are called cinnamon rolls. She gets me with the fake aw-riiite. Nothing like a nonsouthener trying to talk southern. 😅😂
The fat content...of a either a table or teaspoon of heavy whipping cream is astronomical. She all that HWC on top of cin rolls....then added sugar and butter on top. Jesus f cking christ
This looks amazing! I would NEVER make it bc I would eat the whole pan😂😂…I would slip into the no self-control territory. 😋 Thanks for sharing the vid.
*My husband will bring me a pumpkin pie from the bakery...I just sit with a* *fork and eat it. Period the end. wait not the end yet. I take a can of reddi whip* *with me. Watch TV in my cozy office with the pie. He doesn't like pumpkin.*
This is a recipe that has been changed over the years. My grandma and mother and then myself made these from scratch. They were way better than using the canned ones, which are too salty most of the time. I'm 73 years old so I would say that the recipe I was taught goes back at least 100 years. Old ways are usually the best
I use regular bread dough, but you can use the frozen bread loaves, roll each loaf out into a rectangular shape. Spread butter not margarine, over the rectangle . Spread brown sugar over the dough next. Back when brown sugar wasnt available grandma used white sugar. Then heavily sprinkle cinnamon over. Then roll up your dough from the long side. Cut each piece about 1 inch or maybe a little more placing it cut side down into a 9 x 13 inch cake pan, or use one of those deep foil pans, in which you have a mixture of 1quart of heavy cream, brown sugar and cinnamon. The amount of brown sugar is about 1/2 cup and about 3-4 teaspoons of cinnamon. Let rise in a warm place about 1 hour. Bake in a 350° oven about 30 minutes till top is brown. Turn out onto a cookie sheet with sides because these are quite runny, till cool. No need for frosting. Husbands love these things
As god as my witness, I am a southern woman and I have never heard any other southerner call a cinnamon roll a biscuit lololol I feel like this whole thing is made up, including her accent. It’s over exaggerated big time.
I love cinnamon & homemade cinnamon rolls. Found out that Cinnabon uses cassia cinnamon in theirs- it's a bit stronger and almost "spicier" than what you get when you pick up regular cinnamon from the spice shelf at the grocery & really makes a difference (as does adding the salt). My homemade recipe calls for doing all of this- pouring the cream and butter over and i always add extra cinnamon & sugar. Cutting out having to mix, rise, shape and rise dough again is great- especially when you want them for breakfast as no one wants to get up 2 hours early to wait for dough to rise twice. Im going to try this next time instead!
My mother used to make rolls with heavy cream. Of course she made the dough from scratch. It was a family secret recipe. This is so much easier. Thanks🎉
@@tiffanyshanley1419 bless your heart Sweetie! I'm a southern momma and when my adult boys and their wives or my granddaughters talk about Mommas cookin (or Nannys if it's the granddaughters) it makes me feel so good. I actually get this feeling in my chest sometimes like my hearts gonna bust open. ✌️ ✌️ 💜 💜
I swear I heard her say to bake it for 4 to 5 minutes lol. I did bake it for 45 minutes after listening a couple of times, and they came out delicious. Instead of spending 18 Dollars for a 4 pack at Cinnabon I spend 6 bucks for the same amount(size comparison wise).
I looked it up in the transcript because I also heard 4-5 minutes and thought "that can't be right!" But even there it said 4-5 so i went to comments knowing someone would make the correction! Thanks😅
I'm definitely going to make these. Homemade is too much trouble these days but I just love cinnamon rolls so now I can have them close to scratch made without the work! Thank you Kristin! ♥️
I found this video 2 days ago and made them today...5-20-23...Can I just say I'm so impressed and easy. The only thing I did different was made a small batch of cream cheese frosting and added the frosting from the cinnamon roll container . Thanks for all your delicious videos❣️
How do you get around the metallic taste of the stuff they use for leavening in the store-bought dough? The hacks look good. But I can't help but think that they'd be better with better dough to start with.
I made these a couple weeks ago and they're very yummy and went super fast. I was concerned about the amount of liquid that was still there after baking them, but the buns weren't soggy at all and the liquid was a yummy caramel type of thing. I put the leftovers in the fridge and simply put one on a plate and nuked it for 30s the next day.
Those do look good. They remind me of the ones that they would make at Tupperware parties back in the day. With caned biscuits and vanilla ice cream, brown sugar and cinnamon. They were cooked in the microwave, and we're very tasty.
I just made these this morning for Mother’s Day. I did not have heavy cream so I used whole milk. That was a mistake possibly. But they turned out really good. Only problem they boiled over the dish so now I am stinking up the house doing the oven clean. I felt it had too much brown sugar and cinnamon but overall it is a nice hack than making Rhodes rolls overnight. Thanks for the recipe. I ate 3. They are really tender and delicious.
I thank you for this recipe. I make these for my girlies. They love to eat these on the weekend ,after sleep overs, with me, "GRAMMY" MAKES THE BESTIE CIMMIE ROLLS EVER"" 😍😍😍😍
wow. going into my favorites, this video. thank you so much and I agree with you on salt. salt in baking is so important. it brings out the flavor of whatever it is you are baking. never skip the salt.
Hi Kristin, New subscribed I'm from Glendora California and it's lunch time over here. I saw this and now I'm hungry🌺 I like how it looks easy, I'm not a cook or baker. Lots of fast food and I'm trying to eat better/ heathier trying to lose weight with portion control. Looking forward to your wonderful channel🌺🌺💜💜🌺🌺
Girlllllllll, I'm definitely about to copy this recipe, I loves me a good cinnamon roll, and this video had my whole mouth watering, you be blessed for blessing us with this hack!!!!
I one-upped this by doing it with homemade cinnamon rolls, and I added heavy cream to the cream cheese icing, too. My boyfriend very much approved even though a heart attack or diabetic coma both could've followed
OMGOODNESS, these were DELICIOUS! My excuse to make them was a one day belated birthday cake for my wife. No, I didn't forget her birthday but I had an early morning doctors appointment yesterday and couldn't bake them and get away. I followed your directions but added another 1/4 cup of brown sugar and another 1/2 stick of butter. Oh so good. Thanks a million for sharing! And yes, I followed you after making these yummy CINNAMON ROLLS TO THE MAXXXXXX
Seeing I've eaten plenty of the Walmart brand Cinnamon rolls, I would substitute with Pillsbury canned rolls to even have a better tasting Cinnamon roll.
I think this is the best, Girl I watched this all the way through. I have been on a low calorie diet, and this makes me want to “you know”, eat cinnamon rolls.!😂❤
Made these this morning & they were so good! Hubby called them Cinnabons. I wish you had a printable recipe so I could save it. But it's easy enough I can type it up myself. Wonderful, easy, fantastic! I know what I'll take to my next "girls" get--together. Thanks!!
This is literally based of the Cinnabon copycat recipe that has been arpund forever. I love when people who didn't know something discover something old and then call it a hack....
I mean have you made french toast? They’re also soaked first in a wet mixture but once they’re baked they don’t turn out soggy, this must be the same thing with the rolls
Enjoy!
Gonna try it!!!
Always wondered if I could take the packet and make it cream cheese. Thanks.
How long to let them bske ?
I don’t thin cream cheese belongs on cinnamon rolls personally .
😂 enjoy, I'm making them too 👍
I thnk it would be great breakfast for Christmas morning.
@@dannyk886I’m doing these for 🎄morning for _sure_ 😉

Thanks for the heart sacrifice dude,
We’ll definitely try ‘em
She’s right about the salt 🧂. Just add a little dash of salt to your homemade ice cream mix, cake batter, etc. You don’t taste the salt, but it just makes the dessert taste more like whatever flavor it is, like vanilla tastes more vanilla like, strawberry tastes more strawberry like, etc. It’s what pastry chefs do.
This is so true!!
It balances out the sweet‼️
Yes! Salt somehow enhances the sweetness. If you ever get a watermelon that's kinda blah...like it just isn't sweet enough, sprinkle some salt on it. It'll liven it up and make it sweet!
If you've ever had canned soup with no salt, it's inedible. Soup as a 💩ton of salt in it. Is it worth the price to go with Pillsbury?
It's so easy to make real cinnamon rolls that these fake chemical filled grocery store garbage quick fixes are a sure way to get cancer and other serious health issues. Poor doesn't have to mean crap. Broke the internet, lmao.

Okay, you're GREAT. :D Thank you!

The addition of cream cheese frosting sounds wonderful.

I make a variation of this . When it's done flip it onto a plate for serving. the ooey gooey is to die for. You'll definitely want to use round cake pans or round deep-dish pizza pans like i use. Pizza dough works great for this as well. I made it for years at a restaurant I worked at.
Right. It's almost like she *could* use dough because she added all the other ingredients anyway. 🤦🏽
How much cream and how much brown sugar?
@CeleSera Sadly, I can't give you precise measurements. "That looks about right, " isn't very helpful. Probably, a good place to start is the measurements in the current recipe. My hunch is that I would use more cream and more brown sugar. I'll do the recipe and let you know.
Now that's taking it next level 💯 👌
To keep them soft & fresh, immediately take them out of the dish that you baked in, and put them in something else with a lid on it. Like a Tupperware bowl or something plastic that has a top to it. If you don't put 'em away like that, they'll start getting hard literally like the same day. I don't know if it's because they come outta the can or what, but I noticed that they don't stay soft unless you seal 'em up right away. You can also put them in a zip lock bag if you're okay with some of the icing coming off.
Just reheat with butter on top. I hate when things get wet lol
Thanks

@Larson Family 🤭🤭. That's a good solution as well. But the one mistake people make is reheating them too long. Especially in the microwave. 5-10 seconds at the MOST, and that's it. To some, this may seem like a short amount of time to get them warm, but it's really not.

@Hello there, how are you doing this blessed day?

Thank you for that detailed explanation about the chemistry 👌
Bruh. Lay off the Adderall.
If you make any baked good without salt, it will taste bland. The salt brings out the sweetness.
@susanthorne8555 Yeah...but that doesn't tell anyone WHY that's the case.

Its better to melt butter enough to dip and flip each of the cinnamon rolls in place them in the pan. There should be enough to drown them all. Then sprinkle sugar over them all, then the cinnamon. Old ways are usually the best
Do you want to share the recipe?

If you want to make something warmer tasting, add black pepper.
Oh I didn't know that they use Cassia Cinnamon. I'm going to look for it at the store.
Also look into Vietnamese cinnamon. Has a beautiful flavor.

Thanks😅
Thank you for this! I was searching hard through these comments because I was, like, what??? No way! 5 minutes??? Thanks again for clarifying!!👍
She said 45 minutes.
I'm definitely going to make these. Homemade is too much trouble these days but I just love cinnamon rolls so now I can have them close to scratch made without the work!
Thank you Kristin! ♥️
Looks Great! I would doctor the icing up, too-- add cream cheese, vanilla, dash salt to the icing packet.
Finally got to make this recipe for the family and it was a HUGE hit!! We love cinnamon rolls in my house and this just sent it over the top!
RIP
I found this video 2 days ago and made them today...5-20-23...Can I just say I'm so impressed and easy. The only thing I did different was made a small batch of cream cheese frosting and added the frosting from the cinnamon roll container . Thanks for all your delicious videos❣️
That’s what I was about to say!!!!
Oh yeah! Adding cream cheese to the frosting is a great idea!
Perfect idea - I can’t stand the icing that usually comes with cinnamon roles, but I LOVE cream cheese icing!!
Excellent idea; I was just thinking the same thing! What do you think of adding some toasted almonds or pecans?
@@marthawelsh7269 that too sounds amazing!!
How do you get around the metallic taste of the stuff they use for leavening in the store-bought dough?
The hacks look good. But I can't help but think that they'd be better with better dough to start with.
In the South we call a biscuit a biscuit and a cinnamon roll a cinnamon roll
I’ve known a few old time rednecks that call them sugar biscuits. It’s a generation thing.
I like you Kristin! Great recipe hack. I did subscribe.
thanks so much ❤️
Those do look good. They remind me of the ones that they would make at Tupperware parties back in the day. With caned biscuits and vanilla ice cream, brown sugar and cinnamon. They were cooked in the microwave, and we're very tasty.
Now that is some history right there. Wow. Biscuits in the microwave. I've never heard about it. Thank you!
@@pricklypear7934 😀 I have. Have had them. And from the microwave, they taste exactly how you'd think.
I always put the icing in a bowl of hot water, it makes it so easy to drizzle.
These are delicious!!!
If you have butter, my mom’s trick is to melt the butter on the stove and add it to milk to make a fattier milk kinda like heavy cream
I thank you for this recipe. I make these for my girlies. They love to eat these on the weekend ,after sleep overs, with me, "GRAMMY" MAKES THE BESTIE CIMMIE ROLLS EVER"" 😍😍😍😍
After watching this I never wanted a cinnamon roll more in my entire life than I do now❤❤❤
Since when are biscuits and cinnamon rolls interchangeable???😂😂
It's a Southern Thing. ❤
I picked a horrible week to start my low carb diet. 😢
@@marcyjames1 it literally is NOT a southern thing. At all. Ever.
@tresakon she's an idiot.
When you don't want to be wrong, then its interchangeable.
wow. going into my favorites, this video. thank you so much and I agree with you on salt. salt in baking is so important. it brings out the flavor of whatever it is you are baking. never skip the salt.
My husband would "demolish" all that GOODNESS in a flash! He ❤❤❤ L❤ves a great Cinnamon Roll. Your recipe looks AWESOME!
You gotta love anything that has everything you're not supposed to eat in it. Except the cinnamon .
Your trying to eat healthy and this is the channel you are going to lol. Barb, it sounds like you are not taking your health all that seriously.
Girlllllllll, I'm definitely about to copy this recipe, I loves me a good cinnamon roll, and this video had my whole mouth watering, you be blessed for blessing us with this hack!!!!
@Hello there, how are you doing this blessed day?
This is the best recipe EVER I LOVE THEM!!
That looks really good, but we don't call cinnamon rolls biscuits in the south though !
No we sure dont...biscuits is something covered in gravy and more gravy 😊says the girl from Louisiana
My cardiologist would be able to buy a beach house if I ate these on a regular
I was thinking Special Occasions only…. like. Christmas 🎄 morning or Birthday 🎂 morning for the kids
And yes, I followed you after making these yummy CINNAMON ROLLS TO THE MAXXXXXX
yes yes!!! love it 😋
We do not call cinnamon rolls biscuits but looks good
I’m glad you posted this again cause I needed a reminder lol
Seeing I've eaten plenty of the Walmart brand Cinnamon rolls, I would substitute with Pillsbury canned rolls to even have a better tasting Cinnamon roll.
Very interesting! Just one question. Do I still need to add a pinch of salt in the cinnamon brown sugar mixture if I’m using salted butter?
A touch of lemon juice with that canned icing is wonderful. It was the secret of a wonderful lady's homemade cinnamon rolls... ❤❤❤
I made this for my dad’s birthday & added pecans. It was a hit! Thank you ❤❤❤
A better hack is to mix the cream & butter mixture before pouring over the cinnamon rolls. You won’t even need the icing. Thank me later 😜
I was thinking that it just makes more sense maybe add some canned peaches or blue berries …
@@SimplyMee..228 funny you mention adding fruit: I watched a video yesterday whereby the creator added fresh blueberries to their cinnamon rolls
I would add some pecans before going into oven
@@rebaroden9344 ... 😋
That makes sense.
@@dozergetscrafty I've made these so many times. They're even better with praline pecans.
"That's what we say in the south"... except nobody calls cinnamon rolls a biscuit in the south
ya got that right, most of us call it what it is. coke is coke pepsi is pepsi,
I swear lol! Born n raised in the south! A biscuit is a BISCUIT!
We don't where she was from 😂, I never heard that before and I'm from Georgia
She's lying. She's putting on an act.
Yeah she definitely ran off with that one.
I just made these tonight. I also added chopped pecans on top before baking. Absolutely a delicious hack, to up your game with these rolls!
I love watching your video your voice and the way you describe what your doing in your video make me smile your personality is amazing.
thanks so much Dawn 🧡
I made these and added some chopped pecans. Wonderful!😊
Same idea here ☺️
Are the cinnamon rolls soggy? I can't imagine they wouldn't be with all the cream and butter they are soaked in.
I mean have you made french toast? They’re also soaked first in a wet mixture but once they’re baked they don’t turn out soggy, this must be the same thing with the rolls
@@rondolavino7778 I've never eaten French toast, I can't get past the idea of soggy egg bread.
