  • If you are on Instagram and have any interest in cooking over a fire, no doubt you have come across Derek's page @overthefirecooking. His incredible cooking skills and curation have propelled him and his page to the forefront of the campfire cooking conversation.
    In this video we dive into some of Derek's past, how he got into fire cooking, the international fire cooking scene and why he is passionate about cooking over a fire.
    Of course, we didn't want to just talk about it so Derek also whipped up a breakfast spread and then a dinner as well! Everything was cooked over the Breeo smokeless fire pits. The breakfast was over Double Flame and the dinner was over the Ablaze.
    We hope you enjoy getting to know Derek better, we know that we did!

    Derek is one of my favorite chefs to watch. His recipes are straightforward with complex flavors with his different butters, sauces and pestos.

    Great video. I couldn't agree more. I've been out camping and cooked over the fire 🔥 with out even having proper ingredients and it just comes out awesome. I know lots of people that say there's nothing like eating food that was cooked over a flame. People that don't know that are missing out. I'm planning on getting the breeo but trying to decide between the 24" or 30"? Any suggestions? I feel like the 19" definitely too small for my family. Thanks for a great video 👍

    • @breeofirepits
      @breeofirepits  3 роки тому

      Hey Brian! Deciding between the 24" and 30" all depends on how many people will be sitting around your fire most often. The 24" fits 8 people comfortably and the 30" fits 12 people comfortably. Whichever would suit the size of your family best is the one to go with!

    This minute time allotment is not, sufficient to deliver all of what you have going on.

    Burning solid fuels for cooking emits some of the most significant contributors to global climate change, and unsustainable wood harvesting contributes to deforestation, reducing carbon uptake by forests
    Cooking over open fires or inefficient stoves typically entails burning fuels (such as wood, charcoal, coal, and kerosene) that release harmful, climate-warming emissions.
    Charcoal production and use accounts for approximately 2-7% of global, human-generated greenhouse gas emissions. These emissions are mostly caused by unsustainable forest management and inefficient charcoal manufacture.
