    Thank you SO much!!! I just bought a 2024 RX350h four days ago and every time I would enter or exit the vehicle, I had to hit the memory button or slide the seat forward or backwards. And the only thing I could find online was how to set up individual driver profiles based on face recognition! Geez! Talk about going down a rabbit hole.
    This did the trick. YOUR ARE AWESOME!!!!!

      I'm glad I could help! I've also learned on the LX, if you have power folding 2nd row, the 2nd row seats will not power tumble forward if the front seats are not calibrated. The 2nd row, has to adjust the front row seats to make sure there is room to tumble forward and without the calibration it will not operate. Always learning :) Thanks for being here and congratulations on your LX600!

    • @NorthsideLexus
      @NorthsideLexus  Рік тому

      Hi! Sorry for the delay. Are you needing to reset the opening height? If so, use the power close button inside the back door. Press and hold until you hear 6 beeps. (You will hear 4, then keep holding and you will hear 2 more.) Then the height opening is cleared. If you want to save it to a lower height: open the door to the height you want, press and hold the power close button until you get the 4 beeps and let go. The new height is saved. I hope this helps :)

    Is there a way for ingress egress to be set when you get out or in. Before the seat moves to the set driver position. Maybe when the NX shuts off.

      Hi! Yes, if you have the Driver Position Memory feature on your NX, you will also have the Driver's Easy Exit or Boarding & Exit feature, depending on the year of your vehicle. You can make customizations in the settings menu. Thanks for checking in!

      Hi Jim! No worries! Here’s how to turn the 360 Monitor into Auto mode: Keeping your foot on the brake, shift into Drive, press the “View” monitor button, then highlight and click on “Auto” on the bottom left corner of the screen. This view is only available when the car is in drive. When it is in park, you cannot see the selection for auto mode. Once you’ve turned auto mode on, you should see a small light to the left of the word auto. Now shift into park and your setting is saved. Happy Friday to you. Thanks very much for being here.

    Hi Melissa. It’s me ONI again. Had a question about the memory seats on our new 2024 RX 450H+. Finally got our second key fob and now trying to set each key to the desired seat memory position and profile for my wife and I. I already went through and linked each fob to the desired _Profile_ in the settings. And each profile also has our 1 and 2 memory seats set up (1 for my wife and 2 for me).
    Now when we unlock car with our fob, the profile is correctly identified, BUT the memory seat position does NOT automatically know to change to our respective seat position. It either stays on whatever seat position we last locked car with. Like older RX, I tried manually associating memory seat with key fob by pressing seat position number while holding lock, but that trick doesn’t seem to work with the newer 2024 RX. Is there a different method I am missing?

    • @ONI1013.
      @ONI1013. Місяць тому

      Update: Nevermind. Figured it out in the vaguely written manual. Apparently, whichever key fob was used upon last _drive_ is set with the seat position. So basically to set fob with seat position:
      1)Unlock door with Key Fob (make sure only one is nearby)
      2) Turn On Start
      3) Optional : Choose your profile in setting and link to key
      4 Set sets and mirrors
      5) Press Set+Seat Recall Number (1,2,or3)
      6) Must Drive (at least a few feet)
      7 Park and turn off car
      8) Lock car
      Your single key fob should now correctly identify your profile and seat position. Repeat steps with second fob if you want a different profile and different seat/mirror position.

    • @NorthsideLexus
      @NorthsideLexus  Місяць тому

      Hi ONI. So glad you have your second fob! I wish I had a better answer for you, but it seems that the software engineers who made the new profile system did not include auto adjust of the seats. Even when the driver’s linked key is recognized and the profile is loaded. You still have to press the button to have the seat move if you are changing from one driver to the other. So having things properly setup is very important and it sounds like you got that taken care of. But when you unlock the car and you see the driver profile welcome message, you will need to press the driver memory button to move the seats if you have changed drivers. I have been complaining to Lexus about this from the start of the new system. I think we all thought it was a profile issue. But they got the coding taken care of for profile recognition and they still did not include auto adjust for the seats. Also the old way of linking the key through the buttons in the door handle does not work on the system. You can do go through the steps and it seems to work, but it does not hold and resets when you turn off the car. I will keep complaining to them every chance I get. For now, if you change from one driver to the other, please press the button for your seat position and it will adjust for you. Thank you for reaching out! I hope you’re enjoying all of the other amazing things about your RX 450h+ 👍

    • @NorthsideLexus
      @NorthsideLexus  Місяць тому

      ONI, please let me know if this process holds for you and your wife. There is an “auto” save for the last seat position as well. Meaning if you are driving and move the seat then the next time you unlock the car it will go back to that position. If what you have discovered hold every time you change from one driver to the other I will need to make a video about it for sure!

    • @ONI1013.
      @ONI1013. Місяць тому

      @@NorthsideLexus Oh that’s interesting about the seats not being coded to the profiles, and also explains why linking the key to the profile alone wasn’t auto adjusting the correct seat position. It seems to get BOTH Profile AND Seats to work, you have to independently link the key to each- so that the key activates both independently at the same time. And so far in my testing, that seems to be working.
      There is one caveat: if the car detects both keys at same time, not sure if the car’s BT is smart enough to know which key is in use for the profile+seats. Wonder if the car’s BT is sensitive enough to know which “key holder” open the driver’s door. I guess the Face ID on the driver’s seat can be an added detection method to help.

    • @ONI1013.
      @ONI1013. Місяць тому

      @@NorthsideLexus I’ll keep you posted about the “auto save” last seat position upon locking the car after a drive is sustainable. FWIW, our Audi works the same way, and on rare occasions it gets confused and syncs the last driving position with the wrong key- we think primarily bc both keys are detected (my wife always keeps her keys in her purse and never takes it out), and when we exit the vehicle, she inadvertently locks the vehicle as a passenger. So now, we just make it a rule of thumb that only the driver locks and unlocks the car… or only the driver brings their key. Lol. 🙄 Wished these newer Lexus used the old door method of manually associating key to memory seats. It seemed to work fine that way.

    Should the same process be followed for the steering wheel and side mirror adjustments?

    • @NorthsideLexus
      @NorthsideLexus  2 роки тому +3

      Hi Cain, steering wheel and mirrors are typically calibrated or initialized at the factory or the port. If there is an issue with them not saving correctly, you can certainly apply the same concepts, but they do not beep when they are moved if their calibration is not holding. For some reason, we are seeing a lot of seats not fully calibrated lately so the Driver Position Memory is perceived to be not working. I thought I would post this for anyone having that issue. Hope it helps! Thanks for being here!

  • @itsm3th3b33
    @itsm3th3b33 Рік тому

    That is ridiculous. Unnecessary complexity. What can't this "calibration" be done at the factory since it's the same for every seat and has nothing to do with user size nor preference?

    • @NorthsideLexus
      @NorthsideLexus  Рік тому

      I'm sorry you didn't find the video helpful. This calibration is usually done at the factory or the port. It is also checked at the Lexus dealership when the vehicle is being prepped for delivery. However, there are times when the system loses the calibration and the seat must be recalibrated in order to save the Driver Position Memory. I have noticed it happening recently with delays in shipping and vehicles are taking longer to arrive. The goal of the video is to try to save people a trip to the dealership if possible.

      The video was helpful. It saves us a trip to the dealership.
      My beef is with Lexus for causing this issue. This "calibration" should never be exposed to customers, nor even to the dealership. It should be done as part of vehicle assembly and then stored in permanent memory.
      I have had many cars over the decades, from many brands, and never have I needed to "teach" my seats where the limits of the rails they sit on are. The seats never beeped at me either. They just know where their limits are. LOL
      This is a Lexus idiosyncrasy.

    • @jeffn1646
      @jeffn1646 Рік тому

      It is done at the factory and also checked during the pre delivery inspection. The car can lose calibrations though when it loses power like when you change the battery.
