Hi ellie! Thanks so much for watching! With Nuluxe and any other non-leather surface in the vehicle, a damp cloth is always best. Some of our vehicles have a leather dash, you can use a small amount of leather conditioner that does not have any drying agents and will not cause a shine that could lead to glair while driving. We always recommend checking with your Lexus Parts department for recommendations as well. When in doubt, use a damp cloth to be on the safe side. I hope this helps!
@@NorthsideLexusA Damp cloth NOT a microfiber? Can you recommend a leather conditioner/uv protectant brand that is safe to be used on my leather dashboard on a 2021 RX450H. My dashboard looks ways older than the actual vehicle itself already which is very sensitive/prone to scuff marks. Never experience this before owned several cars before this. Talk to several local Lexus parts department they ALL said they can't recommend one. Thanks.
@@ellie-ji4wi Microfiber is great, you want a cloth that is lint free. We aren't able to make recommendations either because there isn't a Lexus product available. I checked with our Parts Department, and they only recommend a dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth for the dash. Even the leather dashes, they don't recommend using a cleaner or conditioner. You may want to show it to your Service Advisor on your next service appointment to see if they can help.
Hi Lidia, Generally the dash should just be cleaned with a dusting cloth with no cleaning solution. You can also use a slightly damp, but not wet cloth, using water only. You don't want to apply anything to the dash that can create a shine. It can cause glare and reflect light on to the windshield. You also don't want to use anything with harsh chemicals or alcohols that can dry the material. Seats can generally also be cleaned with a damp cloth. Water or water with a little bit of mild soap. If you have leather seats, use a good quality leather cleaner and follow the instructions from the one you purchase. Your Lexus parts department will usually have one they recommend. There is also cleaning information in all of the Owner's Manuals. Look under the resources tab on the lexusdrivers.com web site. Put in your model and year and locate the manual for your vehicle. Then you can do a keyword search "clean" and find anything having to do with cleaning the car. Hope this helps.
Hi. Unfortunately, Lexus doesn't have a recommended product for resurfacing the screen. I would check with your Lexus Parts department and see if they know of any way to repair it. I have seen a few cars where they cleaned the screen with a "screen cleaner" and soft cloth for a while and then over time, started seeing etching all over the screen. 😢
Melissa, my interior is black and peanut colored interior. I just got it, not even 2 weeks ago. I hate the black. I feel like I'm in the dark and I can't see dash element well. It's like I need bold font or something. What can I do. I do have a sunroof but it's still to dark for me. Rx 350 premium plus. Help. I hate to tell my husband. He is so proud of getting me.such a nice vehicle.
Hi Melissa, Great name ;) I'm sorry to hear that the interior is dark for you. Here's what I would try: 1. Make sure the instrument panel is set to the brightest (up arrow button on the left side of the dash, but the ODO/Trip button. 2. Turn the Display to the brightest possible setting: Settings Gear > Display > Brightness > slide it all the way to the right. 3. Consider turning off the auto switching for the display mode so it stays in the Light/Day mode, even at night. I hope this helps. Thanks very much for being here.
Hi Tameka, This is a very gentle cleaning method that Lexus has used for many years. It is designed for the original equipment, but should work on any screen. If you have an after market protector installed, make sure to check the specs on it to confirm what you should use. I hope this helps. Thanks so much for watching!
Northside Lexus thank you so much; Its working but appears that it will take a while to remove. It is a sticky- like substance; not sure of what that is though.
@@mememarcia329 Just make sure you don't remove the final screen surface that came form the factory. Have you had the screen looked at by a technician or Lexus body shop? I've seen some very damaged screens from the wrong materials being used. I hope your screen is in good shape :)
Northside Lexus its in good shape. I initially thought it was residue from a previous screen protector that was removed but it was something sticky - i used a wet microfiber cloth and the substance started “lifting” up. I purchased my 2017 Lexus Rx 350 used. The screen looks so much better with the method your provided.😀
Hi Raymond, this is just a smooth, soft lens cleaning cloth. Like what you would clean your glasses with. Some people use the larger cloths, but if they are not flat fabric, they can trap dirt and sand and I'm always paranoid about scratching the screen. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching.
Hello...assuming I use the same type of sprayer that you used in the video, how much mild dish detergent should be combined with the water...one drop, two drops, a teaspoon? Thanks!
Having the hardest time finding a detergent that doesn’t say tough on grease. Can’t find the one you used anymore. Any recommendations? Do you sell the Lexus cleaning kit?
Unfortunately we don’t have a screen cleaning kit. I would just stick with a little water instead. Spray it on the soft cloth instead of the screen and that should be plenty to get rid of finger prints or smudges. If you find that you need to add any soap, a few drops of natural baby soap or gentile baby shampoo could work also. Just something with no alcohol or harsh cleaning agents. Hope this helps.
Hi Mike, I fill the bottle with water and just use one or two drops of a very mild soap with no alcohol or lotions. Just a simple soap. I hope this helps. Thanks so much for tuning in!
@@mikesweeney5928 Dawn is usually very gentle and should be just fine. Just use one or two drops, depending on how large your bottle is. You don't want it to leave a soap residue and you should be able to just wipe it clean. No need to rise if it is mostly water. You can also, just start with water and a soft cloth if you're worried about the soap :)

Hi Bobby. Thanks for tuning in. The dashboard should really just be dusted with a soft clean dry cloth. You don't want to use anything that can dry out or damage the leather or create a shine that would cause glair when you drive. Hope this helps.
Unfortunately, Windex and other cleaning products have chemicals and drying agents that can cause etching, scratches, fog and spots on display screens. Make sure to consult your owner's manual so you don't risk long term damage to the screen in your Lexus.
The concern with wipes is that they can leave behind streaks and lint. This method is what Lexus recommends so I teach this version to be on the safe side to protect the screens over the long term. I hope this helps.
Hi Deneen, I always teach what Lexus specifically recommends because of the material the screens are made of. The glass cleaning clothes are great, but the cleaner spray probably has some alcohol in it and that can cause damage and streaking that can not be repaired. Hope this helps :)
