Hello, thanks again for the tips. I have a UK spec 2018 RX450h F Sport and it does not do what I ask via voice control. It accepts the commands but always does something different. My previous two Lexus vehicles understood and complied accurately, so I doubt it’s my accent. Any tips on resetting the voice control system?
I would try to do the train voice recognition (Menu - Setup - Voice - Train Voice Recognition) and see if that will reset the system for you. Hope this helps! Thanks so much for tuning in!
I've been watching your tutorial videos and I want to thank you for all the information you provide as I learn quite a lot from you! I'd like to know if there's a software update to add Android Auto to cars without it. I drive a 2019 ES 350 with the 12 inch display and would love to have that feature in my car. Thanks again for your videos!
Hi! Thanks so much for your support! In the US there is not an Android Auto retrofit from Lexus. Unfortunately it was not compatible with the head units we have here, but it was compatible in other countries, so you may have read about it online. Some people have been able to find aftermarket kits, but I am not trained on those and can't make any recommendations on them. Check with a reputable aftermarket company and see what they recommend. Thank you again for being here!🤞

Nice video. Is it possible to not have the previous app to be displayed? For example I would like to play my Spotify without the navigation showing up on the right. Is it possible to have Spotify to be full screen?
Hi Chris, Thanks so much for tuning in! I'm glad you liked the video. Unfortunately, Android Auto doesn't permit all apps to open to full screen and they don't seem to have a setting that would let you customize that. If you have Spotify open on your phone, hop in your car, connect for AA - Spotify should usually show up on the screen. But if you also have Google maps open in the background, it is possible that it could take over as the priority. Hope this helps! Thanks again for being here!
Hi @Didier, Thanks so much for tuning in. Yes, if you have any of the NAV apps open in Android Auto they will be updated in real time so you can see traffic information if you have your settings turned on for traffic, etc. The left side tile will show much more information, but the right side tile for Google Maps will show ETA and some quick links. I hope this helps to answer your question. If you have any other questions please let me know. I am new to the Android phone and Android Auto, so as I learn more I will keep making videos for us. I'm currently editing one with more detail about the apps. It should be posted in the next few weeks. Hope you like it as well. Thanks again!
Thanks so much, Kishore! The 21 & 22 Lexus ESs have wired Apple CarPlay. We should that change when there are some system updates that seem to be planned for the 2023 model. It may roll out differently in different countries, but that is what we are expecting so far. Thanks so much for tuning in!

Hi Usha, as long as your phone is compatible with Android Auto and your settings are up to date, make sure to use a data certified cord and connect to the proper USB-A port in your Android Auto compatible Lexus. Then you should be all set.
Hi Marko, Unfortunately that is setup from the manufacture based on the area the vehicle will be sold. The only temperature setting that can be changed is the forecast for the Weather App if your Lexus comes with the Weather feature. Sorry to not be of more assistance.
Hi! Not all of the phone apps in Android Auto are compatible for the full screen mode. If they can not go to full screen, then they will just open on one side. I hope this helps to answer your question.
Hi Wayne_Wayne! Android Auto was first introduced to the IS in 2021. At the same time as Apple CarPlay. So when you open Menu > Setup > Projection Settings on a car built for the US market, you should see both Android Auto & Apple CarPlay. What year is your IS? Thanks for checking in!
