Thanks so much! We have been scratching our heads about what was wrong with the seats. This video just saved us a ton of aggravation. It fixed it in moments! Thanks! I sent the video to the dealer so other NX buyers won’t have the same aggravation. Seems like they would know this, but…
I wish I had seen this when I got my new NX back in March. After several days of trying different things, I searched UA-cam & found an instructional video from a Toyota dealer in Washington state that showed the fix exactly as you have it here, but on a Camry. I tried it, & it worked like a charm! This should be a standard setup that the dealer should do for you, as seat memory is very important to most drivers.
Just picked up my NX and this was driving me crazy. I set 1 for myself and 2 for my wife and it never recalled the seat setting. Appreciate the video thank you
OMG!!! I got mine in January and have been manually setting it before driving. The only time it remembered my setting was to not to lock the doors...smh. Thanks for the tutorial 😀
@@lsft Then I have a problem. I will not be able to enter the car seat as it's adjusted to a small person and very close to the wheel. If I switch the driving position to mine being outside the car, it does not go to the exit (entry) position. It does go to an exit position when I stop the car and leave. Dealerships unable to give me an answer.
@@DreamimagesNet you can just press the button before going in. Might have misunderstood your question. If you do that it will set it to just the position. Have you tried to link it to your keys?
@@lsft No, as my wife and I are using the same key. My main concern is this, why the seat does not move to an exit position after my wife selects memory 2? The seat moves to the driving position, and she is unable to enter her seat, as she drives very close to the wheel and the seat way up. She needs to squeeze her boy through the wheel and the back seat. The first 2 months were working fine. Have no idea what happened. Maybe we need to reset the seats to the factory settings?
Hi it’s me again lol. This is the second question that confused me a lot. After watching this video I finally succeeded in setting up my seat. But how do I set the seat for the second driver? Does 2nd driver need to reset everything in this video again while it’s his Lexus account logging on? Thx!!
when turn off the car, the seat hoes back to initial position. when turn it on, the seat moves to the set position every time. how to keep it at set position without moving after turning off?
There is a settings in the Lexus Interface called: "Driver’s seat movement when exiting the vehicle". You set that to off and it will not adjust when you turn on/off the car. Should be under Vehicle Customize --> Boarding & Exit
Hi @LSFT I’ve ordered NX version with automatic seats without memory buttons on door. I was wondering if you might know whether I would be able to memorize seats position with a car key for instance? Or maybe there is any other third party solution that would make my life easier? Keep up the good work :)
Thank you for your support. I saw from someone that the Lexus Profiles were able to adjust the seats based on the profile. I haven't seen it working, but it sounds like it will work.
Will it set to my memory position depending on the key fob I use like my Expedition? I was able to program each key fob to a different memory position. One for me one for my wife. Also my Expedition has the easy in easy out feature as when I unlock the car the seat moves back for easy entry as to not rub the seats upon every entry.
@@JPDUBSY The instructions are not in the manual. Typically the dealer would have already initialized the seats. If you experience beating sounds when moving your seat, you can try the same method. This method works for not just the NX. It's for all Lexus vehicles with 8 way adjustments.
Hi there! It seems like the seat memory only changes my steering wheel configuration and not the seats. (I made sure that my 1&2 profile were completely different too) Is this a malfunction? I have the ux hybrid.
@@lsft thank you for your reply, no it does not beep after controlling everything, it’s 2023 model, and how I set it would be after adjusting I would press “set” then a number and a slightly long beep would occur
@@lsft no I don’t. Should I do that then? I’m just confused because when I do press each number (that I THOUGHT I configured) only the steering wheel position would change
I've typically, press and hold the SET, then press the number and wait for the beep. I checked the user manual for the UX and both ways will work. While pressing the “SET” button, or within 3 seconds after the “SET” button is pressed, press button “1”, “2” or “3” until the buzzer sounds. Since you did get the buzzer sound it should be set. Maybe you should try to set one where the seat goes all the way forward and see if that works or not. If it doesn't - go to the dealership and see if they can figure out what is wrong. The steering wheel and seats should all be set with the positions. By the way, did you turn on easy access feature where the drivers seats will move back when you power off the car?

It's very odd that they don't initialize the seats. Not sure what changed. But I'm glad this video was helpful for you.
I did the same, same feelings, same pain!

I've seen people repeatedly saying it was not working and another NX owner suggested that I do this video. Hope this will help others.
You are a life saver on this. IDK why my dealer didnt initialize my seats, but I wish I found this video 2 months ago
Not sure if it was a miss, but it looks like a lot of people had seats not initialized.

Great to hear!
This is exactly what the issue was with our NX. Thank you so much!!

Hey thank you so much!!!!
This works on my Solterra 2023, finally! 😇
Great to see it works for a Subaru too
Great information, thanks a lot!
My pleasure!
Thank youuuuuuuu!!!!! I have been trying to figure out why my seats would not set for months. Many thanks!
Glad I could help!
Your video saved me from frustration of adjusting my seat...thank you so much!

Thanks for the advice and very nice way to help 👍

The video was very helpful and solved my problem, thank you very much.

Just used this today on my new NX450h+. Thanks!
Great. Hope you are enjoying your new NX450h+!!

I need the Lexus nx300 2018 setting
Should be the same or similar. You need to initialize 2018?
When do diferent drivers select the memory seat after the entry or before entering the car? Thanks.
After entry. If the car is set up with your key, it could change to the driver's configuration.

Yes, that feature is available even on the first gen NX. The easy out feature is also available and you have 2 options (partial move back or full).
